    Great shooting you two. Congratulations Sam on the rimfire zombie head! That definitely should have been three hits. Thanks again for trying our challenges it’s been fantastic watching you guys give them a go. 👍🏻

    .love my .22lr rifle. Gees this year alone claimed.34 hares 25 rabbits 8 foxes and 1 wild dog. Their such a great caliber for small game and great for kids on learning on how to shoot and safety.

    Enjoy all your videos but the ones with the .243 are of special interest to me. The .243 has become my favorite caliber to shoot.

      MarkandSam AfterWork How many minutes of elevation were you using with the 243? I heard you mention windage but I didn't hear elevation. I have the same action and barrel, just wondering if the 40MOA base will be enough with my Argos BTR.

    Awesome.... thanks guys. But as old mate mentioned..... thumb placement on that 45 auto had me worried for your thumb ha ha ha......... left thumb left side for most right handed folks, but if you don't lose a thumb in the process who cares..... all's good in the end. Cheers guys.

    I wish Howa would come out with a proper twist barreled action for the 6mm pills. Be it a straight .243 Win, 6 Creedmoor, 6x47, 6 Dasher, doesn't matter as long as it had a faster twist to run the heavies. As you mention in the video, I'd love to see you stretch out a 105 Hybrid 8 twist or 110 SMK 7 twist combo.

    What is that type of shooting activity called, that's at the end with you guys moving through shooting targets?

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  6 років тому +1

      That is called Prac Pistol and Prac Shotgun, as you can see we often run a combination, Cheers

    You need a system that puts the steel plate back up so you can shoot it again instead of going down to it and putting it up. La RUE tactical has something like it.

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  6 років тому

      We will use our swing targets most the time, this is just for the extreme extreme stuff where we need simple reliability, cheers

    wow, you never stop amazing me, another great showing I'm half way thru your videos now so expect lots of more comments lol, keep up the great shooting, love the long range 22 videos there just awesome, also i noticed that a lot of your long range videos your using a bolt action is there no semis allowed in aussie land.for long range or is it just preference, thx again

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  6 років тому

      Thanks Man, semi autos are a lot harder to own, but bolt actions are just more accurate by nature, so suits us just fine, cheers

    • @fabebarrett
      @fabebarrett 6 років тому

      ya, I agree on the bolt being more accurate, just curious on the semi auto, thx for the reply and keep up the great work

    Might I ask which Berger 95gr you use for your Howa? I shoot a .243 Vanguard and it really likes 87gr V-Max. Would like to go a little heavier for distance.

      @joepatton1453 6 років тому

      I have a Howa 1500 pretty similar to Mark and Sam's, mine doesn't shoot the VLD especially well, but it handles the 95gr SMK pretty well (usually about .5 MOA groups @ 100).

    Out of interest what loads you running on the CZ 22lr? 500m is really stretching the legs on the little cartridge

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  6 років тому +3

      They where just subsonic target SK rounds, Cheers

    • @ppalla
      @ppalla 6 років тому

      MarkandSam AfterWork I thought they sounded subsonic on the playback but it can be deceiving what the mic picks up.
      Thats a mighty effort for the 22lr cartridge & even more impressive considering its leaving the barrel subsonic

      Hi Man, I have bits and pieces all over, may do a video on that sometimes, but I use either Strelok or AE Balistics for main apps, Measuring tape for GPS app as well as a Garmin unit, and have a couple of cheap ranger finders, will get a Sig Sauer unit soon, Cheers

    Mark and Sam, love you videos, so informative. I especially like this video with the 22LR at 500 yards. I've just recently returned to shooting and started back with a CZ 455 Precision Trainer in a Manners stock, 25 MOA pic rail, Vortex Precision rings, Vortex Viper PST 5-25X50 FFP, Vortex anticant level and Harris Bipod. It has been a challenge hitting eggs and golf balls at 200 yards with these Texas winds so I can certainly appreciate Sam's 500 yard shots on the Zombie with the 22LR. I'm thinking for my first long range centerfire rifle, possible getting it in 243. If you were going to purchase a stock rifle and barrel to shoot right out of the box and had to shoot factory ammo, what would you recommend? Always looking forward to your next video. Thanks for sharing............cheers.

      Hi Man, great to hear your getting back into it, as for rifle, well depends on many things, if you go trough my how to build an ELR rifle, that gives some ideas on how to make decisions, Cheers and all the best.
