AMS2 is a fun game, lots of variety and enjoyable to drive since 1.6. They definitely need to figure out a way to add a mid-session save (for offline) and driver swap (for online) if they want to benefits from their IMSA partnership though.
I'm.a dev at JustRace and we have been running AMS2 races since it's original release. We are not in a beta phase. We are slightly different to LFM as we cater for league racing as opposed to racing drivers matched by rank (as LFM does). Feel free to get in touch if you want to run races for your viewers etc. We are completely free with no adverts etc.
I just hope the career mode is coming 2025! For me its the best sim to drive against a.i if there is a fleshed out career mode in future im not even considering playing another game. Ps im playing VR😅
AMS2 is the sim which I enjoy the most at the moment. I personally think that AMS2 has a superior FFB in comparison to LMU as I get more information about the tire load in mid corner. This is for me already a win for AMS2 and on top comes all the variety, sound and graphics. Also, the immersion with the safety car and lost parts after crashes makes this sim unique.
I dropped iRacing last year since being a member since it's launch, bought AMS2 during the steam sale, no regrets! Love VR! Might have to try online racing again... LOVE the self hosting, amazballs!!!!!
I'm a 65 yr retired person. Moved from console to PC platform after 6 months in sim racing playing with a wheel. Download the AMS2 two weeks ago and the new update just blown me away. The graphic, no matter day or night, is just awesome (in particular in VR), the AI vehicles are lots better than many online players indeed and the ffb (w some mods) are all solid feelings. Will try the MP later on. Among the GT7, ACC and AMS2, AMS2 is slightly better than ACC as a whole. Worth to give it a go.
Two tips: If you have a Quest headset, take a look at the video "How to setup VR in automobilista 2" by Sim Racing Shaolin Student And try the Standard+ setup for force feedback, instead of Standard.
AMS2 ticks all the boxes for me too. AC1 is my favourite for fun with its vast range of experiences but AMS2 is definitely my favourite when I want to race against the AI. Amazingly optimized so triples and VR are good even on my RTX2070S old i7. Nice video thanks
AMS2 is amazing. =) Atm im set with my sims, and at this point, i could care less about the whole simcarde stuff. When I ask ppl to define simcade when they talk about AMS2 and GT7, they're unable to define what makes them simcade. Then I ask them to google the definition, and the definition of simcade doesn't align with what AMS2 and GT7 give the player/ driver. Great video man, definitely make more content on AMS2 especially since the 1.6v update Hope to see you in LFM 😊
Simcade is a design decision and it is not one Reiza have made. You can say it’s a bad sim ( I wouldn’t agree ) but if you call it a Simcade you are just trolling imo.
Just bought AMS 2 a week ago, I'm getting over 200fps, Ultra settings on an Asus laptop! 🤠 Love the car physics and handling. This is looking like the Project cars 3 I always wanted. What i loved about PC2 but all enhanced, refined and better. Favourite cars so far, LMP2, GTE, GT3, GT4, Formula Ford(trainer). Cars look jaw dropping in replay 🤤😎 Just need save game option during long races and Career mode enabled. And want Fuji track, Toyota and Ferrari back.
AMS2 is not my favourite sim, but it is so easy to like. My five year-old system with triple screens runs AMS2 at 100 FPS, no sweat. Which other sim can do that?
have AMS2 and lmu but AMS2 is a much better sim, more speed feeling light and shadow in cockpit everything that can vibrate in and on car moves, with lmu not sees a bit dead. Ffb AMS2 better more refined, lmu too coarse. Even my bass shakers work better in ams2. Bass shakers highly recommended.
I love Road Atlanta. I have been going to Petit Le Mans every year since 2011. The track is amazing in person, and now we finally have a proper version in a sim.
I agree with 95% of what is said here My only gripe would be need more track side cameras. Different angles. Race factor 2 has the best Sebring cameras. Especially where you can see the tires on the tarmac. Also when you start a session if I do donuts on the track at any given location, I would expect those donuts to be there to the very end of race day. I do realize this takes extra ram, but race tracks are often married with Skids that are there the entire race long
As the one responsible for this, there is work being done to add more cameras and cycles. But it wont happen overnight, there are a couple of tracks in the sim.
After 1.6 update VR (Reverb G2+ Rtx 3090) doesnt run smooth anymore with same settings... not able to run at 60 fps :( Lots of stuttering. I hate it. I tested changing lots of settings.. I now will deinstall ams2 and wait for AC Evo.
Wired or wireless. As i ran a Q3 wireless via VD, with a 4070ti Super and had micro stuttering. Then bought a wifi 6 router that only my headset connects to and the PC is hard wired to. Runs like an absolute dream this game.
I Love AMS2 and have 1200 hours in this game. BUT... After Playing LMU the Past 3 months. I. Can't play LMDH or GT3s in AMS2 anymore. I'm always left wanting more
I have been on LMU since the launch but find AMS2 LFM racing somehow a lot more intense because you can push the cars harder. I will however be back on LMU as I enjoy that too.
Tbf, AMS2 is the Jack of all Trades as in you have a lot of series' and they are fun and great. LMU specializes in Endurance so obviously their LMDh cars will feel better for some :D
I play both and enjoy both. I’m finding the GT3s in ams2 require some key setup changes to the diff in particular but once you do that, they become very enjoyable . LMU has a bit more detail and nuance which it should have as it is a specialist sim . I think it is great we can play both .
Have you heard about our Lord and Savior Reiza? Today will we be reading from the good book The New Testament of Mobilista. If you are not available, I'll leave you with this pamphlet called the "Marshal Tower". LOL
@@racingsimaddicts7563 Indeed, that is correct and it has been successful with @metzvr and @simracersarms regularly running hosted lobbies on their streams.
Yes, but it’s a feature that benefits the player that want to race with friends or train for a race with its team. On LMU it’s paid only, on rF2 even if it’s possible, the peer-to-peer it’s very laborious to host. Here you can run your own server in a couple of clicks, with a very high stability compared to the same solution hosted outside the game in local on your pc (like rF2). For me and my team it’s definitely a game changer
@@mancuso.alessandro Glad it works for you. AMS 2 is a great game. I've been running servers for years and I'm currently running the AMS 2 dedicated server right next to an rF2 server on a cloud server I rent. In this direct comparison, the rF2 netcode is far superior. I'm really bummed that Reiza has not been able to rewrite the server into a true dedicated server since this game deserves it. So many more leagues would use AMS 2 if the server functionality and netcode were better.
I can't get enough. Been playing AMS2 for year. It's a whole new game now. VR is insane.

Sadly you are completely right, AMS2 is such big fun to drive now. Driving ACC feels like boring work after it.

For VR players this game is the only option!
Assetto Corsa is also very good, but the visuals in AMS2 are on another lvl for me

@codeREDsim Awesome. Career mode is something several other sims don't offer, so it would give AMS2 an advantage.

AMS 2 🇧🇷
I got so confused seeing the Porsche that was behind the Lambo at the start of the video with the bent wing lmao
1.6 k hrs in it and still loving it..
It’s a fun game with a lot of good choices. My preference is ACC or LMU for serious racing. AMS 2 for a bit of fun over a beer or two!
spot on.. ams still feels real floaty to me too
Now they make money with LFM I hope that we can buy the Ferrari LMDH …pls make it!!!
Great for pro cars and dtm ,
gt3 is a no-go in ams2 for me. Feels always so slippery…
