    This proves that my words are true. No one from Stevecraft spoke to me knows what the problem is about their failed device. Experience will prove this to everyone.

      Do not misunderstand , I am happy with my cnc, much of this has to do with learning how to USE and or DRIVE IT.... This not the type of thing you have immediate success or understanding of. My process is going just about as I expected it.

      Yah, I moved away from them after so many prepurchase promises, 3 in 1 etc. Bottom line, the machine is wobbly.

    George what Vacuum Pump did you end up using with the M1000

    • @GeorgeKennerLaser
      @GeorgeKennerLaser  2 місяці тому

      It was not really a pump , I got a Festool vacuum.

    Just raise the machine with legs or a frame taller than the attachment, just saying, thanks for your tutorial

      Raising the Height of the Machine will not effect the Z height. I can remove or put in a standard table and get about 4 more inches but I lose my vac. table that way.

    I also purchased the vac table also with my M1000 and got it set up a few times but with no success. I cut through my table to get the vacuum attached, but the suction just isn't that strong. I bought a 2HP dust extractor to use on the table but still no joy. What Vacuum suction system do you use, please?

      I am using the Festool CT 15 www.festool.com/products/dust-extraction/mobile-dust-extractors/575988---ct-15-e-set It has great suction specs and is small and not as loud as some others. Have you reduced the size of the Rubber Band to represent the size of the piece of work. The board could be leaking the vacuum if the Rubber band is much larger than the piece you are cutting. E mail me at G.kenner@yahoo.com if you have any more questions.

      Robin, you can not use a dust collector for the vacuum table. It will have a lot of air flow but not a lot of suction power. You need to use a shop vac. A 5-6 hp vac will work best like those from Craftsman, Husky, Festool. The Fein is a good one because it will not overheat as it has a better cooling system. Please contact support@stepcraft.us if you still are having issues.

    George, that festool ct-15 is not a good solution for a vacuum table it uses the air being sucked in to cool the motor and with the mdf it will most likely over heat you need to use something like fien that has a secondary way to cool the motor

    • @GeorgeKennerLaser
      @GeorgeKennerLaser  2 роки тому

      So far so good and it has a 3 year warranty. The heat coming from the vent is the same if I am running it to the machine or it is just running static. There is a level of suction adjustment and it does not need to run full blast to hold the spoil board in place.

      I understand what you are saying, I have the same cnc and the same festool vac for dust extraction specifically for that machine but the fact is like I said there is not ample amount of air to cool the motor. I had actually contacted festool and fien months back about this when I purchased my cnc.

    With your purchase of your cnc did it come with software for free
    If so what kind

    • @GeorgeKennerLaser
      @GeorgeKennerLaser  9 місяців тому

      Yes it came with Vcarve Pro, and a driver system. But you want to make sure you what you are getting at time of PURCHASE... this is a very good question.

    Wouldn't it be easier to build a wood frame or cut some wood legs to lift the CNC over the table?

    • @GeorgeKennerLaser
      @GeorgeKennerLaser  2 роки тому +1

      I did consider that but raising it about 4 inches would have made it so I needed a step stool to reach the back of the machine. I wanted to work with the things that I had. But I clearly get your point. Thank you for the nice comment

    Good golly!
    Talk about overthinking. . . Just raise the CNC off the surface with some riser blocks/strips and save a ton of headaches and money. That was painful to watch. . .

    • @GeorgeKennerLaser
      @GeorgeKennerLaser  2 роки тому

      Sorry for the Pain... but thanks for watching. I considered the "Blocks" but there were some down sides to that , like lifting the working surface, it was already above standard bench height, at about 45 inches to the cutting surface. I am just a tiny bit taller than average but to get to the back side or the working surface would have been harder if I did a 3 inch lift. Plus I felt like I could lose some of the rigidity of the system. There was really no option to cut thru the tool box. This was my first CNC and I did not want to make it look like a ' hap hazard install". The way my space is turning on not only is it functional it looks pretty cool in here, it sorta turning into like a man cave. Sat in here with friends last night and had a great time. Took me back to being in my dad's shop with him, talking about the world. To me this is a HOBBY not a job, so even if I make mistakes, all good.
