      Put a gooseneck on your land speed trailer so you don't have to have the ridiculous lifted truck hitch. Also moves the twisting load from viper to trailer. Just saying

      The fact you can't just go to U-Haul and pick up a class 3 trailer hitch for a Viper really _isses me off! I was going to get his and hers Vipers at the after Christmas sale but no hitch, no Vipers. 😮

      That's up there with not bothering to comment your code. You know that quick and dirty few lines you'll "never have to look at again," but is the key part of a system and you have no idea what you did. Not saying that ever happened to me. Now days I start with the comments to organize the rough structure before any actual coding. Does not make me a better coder, but at least I know what I was originally aiming to do.

  • @g__wizz

    One spare, flat, as far back as you can with the tread coming out of the truck (cut to fit) where the license plate is.
    The weight placement will make your rear suspension more predictable and less prone to bucking, flat will still provide you with “vision” and not be a huge aero sail like two straight up and down. Even if you had to section a round piece out of the entire trunk to fit the tire, it would still be cleaner and more functional than mounted on the roof. Plus you could add storage on top of the exposed tire with a tube rack if extra storage is needed.
    Plus when you roll this thing (everything long travel rolls 😢😉) you can do burtrenyolds t top stuff with a cage setup like a class 5 unlimited.

    Might I suggest a "Jeep" trailer that has the proper height, in red, for your extra tires, tools and other kit that matches the Viper. And which will not fit in the briefcase sized trunk. You could even fit it with space for 5 offroad tires so you can swap between street'ish tires and offroad tires at the far end.

    6:30 that hitch was damaged with a vertical impact that put the whole truck's weight on it. Cybertruck can only support 160lbs vertical load on the hitch before causing damage.

    • @fredygump5578
      @fredygump5578 2 години тому +3

      It fails at 160#?! Nope. They say accessories like hitch mounted bike rack have a limit of 160#. This is probably because of dynamic loading caused by the thing bouncing. (Apparently other manufacturers have similar reduced limits for accessories.)
      Fact is that hitches in North America are rated for 10% of the towing capacity. Failures aside, the tongue weight for the Tesla should be 1,100#, given a 11,000# tow rating. (In Europe hitches are rated at 5% tongue weight, and then vehicles towing trailers are required to drive slower due to the trailer being less stable with the reduced tongue weight.)
