I knew it would work. With enough engineering, even a Koenigsegg Regera could go off road and do well. I think its just that the Viper is almost as ideal as you can get for a robust supercar to be converted into a rally car, its already prepared largely for having its underpinnings replaced with rally capable components, it just unfortunately doesn't have enough space to add a transfer case or a front differential, but that just means Baja Claws :P

Clicked on the video because I love vipers and offroading (but how could they mix?). Love your pragmatic and forward thinking approach to all of this though. Once you got to the turn radius and the upright/arm you designed and how you needed to tweak them - and it simply is what it is, to be readdressed in the future.
So many possibilities, and so many constraints. What a rad project.

After following the project for so long, it's incredibly cool to see this thing finally tearing up the desert. You've done what all of our inner childs whished we could do and built a proper, real-life, reason-be-damned Hot Wheels car. I half-expected to see flames shooting out of those side-pipes every time you accelerated (that would be a pretty cool addition actually). Looking forward to seeing more of it.
For the steering, I wonder if it might help to build some give into the linkage somewhere. Maybe a cup & pin arrangement with a stack of Belleville washers in the tie rods. Not enough to let the wheels flop around, but just to take a little edge off of the hard hits. Doesn't take much to improve on a completely rigid linkage.

I don't know anything about the viper, but something I saw in the old 4runners, even some Suzuki's is some people putting a bracket around the air inlet in the cowl, and adding a removable filter. The only problem is you have to remove that trim every time which if you know old cars, loves to snap. You likely have to cut into the plastic for access and also need a beauty cover made, which I assume would be done by Sendcutsend.
