The wealth in equality in the UK is huge nowadays. Travelling from rural Wales to London is like travelling to another part of the universe.

One of the best parts of London. I used to work on Grosvenor square back in the mid 2000’s , stayed in London for eight years but then with kids it became too expensive . We were on £120,000 combined gross income back then , no kids and we were just getting by; nothing glamorous . With kids these days if you want to put them in private school , say two kids, and have a good quality of life I think you need £300,000 or more combined gross income . There are many who make more than that , but many more who make less .

You're off by a few hundred thousand, if you want to have kids in private school and be living in that part of London you will struggle to do so under £500k nowadays.

This is a lovely area of London, and yes, it's expensive, but even wealthy people deserve to live happily and safely, contrary to the ideas of jealous people. One thing that stands out to me as an American, is that such a large percentage of people on the street are dressed horribly. Perhaps it's safer to dress like a street person.
