I don’t pray and I feel guilty. I talked to my parents and they said that that once happened to them. I think they just said that to inspire me. I am getting better now. But still not good
I used to not pray and then one day I downloaded the Athan program and then I started praying once or sometimes none and all the sudden one day I just started praying 5 times a day, that was like 2 months ago and I have not missed a single Salah I think and if I did I would make it up I am 16 years old. If you want your faith to increase watch a lot of videos like this. I hope I can inspire anyone and thanks for reading, and Inshallah we will all become better Muslims.
I never used to pray 5 times a day but Alhamdulilah I pray 5 times a day now. What Ive learnt is that prayer will never be easy for you unless you just accept that prayer will be part of you life every single day for the rest of your life, If you cant accept that then you have already failed in attempting to start your 5 daily prayers, Secondly it is important that you make dua and ask allah to guide you in order to help you pray 5 times a day, thirdly have the intention,... thats something only allah can see and if you have the intention of praying but forget to pray then its important to quickly pray the forgotten prayer and Allah is merciful and forgiving and as you had the intention your prayer will be accepted hopefully. and finally once you start to see yourself praying more often establish it and make it part of your life for the rest of your life and also try and build on it and improve the quality of your salah in terms of your concentration in prayer, make sure you have total conviction and concentration in prayer. These are the steps that I took and walahi it worked for me, now I pray 5 times a day without feeling lazy or feeling like prayer is a burden. Also make dua for your friends and family to pray 5 times a day and help them because nobody is exempt from 5 daily prayers except young children and the extremely ill, even the elderly have to pray, even if you cant walk you have to pray, even if your ill in bed but still have conscious you have to pray in bed... I can not stress enough how important prayer is so please please please brothers and sisters make the 5 daily prayers a part of your life FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
Lex Jones I have a quick question, for those of us living in the western world working 9-5, it's not easy or acceptable to managers to pray in the workplace. Is it ok to read missed prayers at home when you arrive back? The timings for prayer clash with work hours and I feel guilty and as though they won't be accepted if I pray them after work. In Muslim countries and in the world of mufti menk it's easy to unplug and detach and pray salah in the middle of your work. Here we are amongst the unbelievers and we are different to them, their patterns do not exist around Islam and this is their way of life and their laws. Is it ok to pray later ?
Lex Jones Another thing that makes prayer actually enjoyable, is to imagine Allah is right there close to you when you pray, and you try to concentrate on every word you say in your prayers and try to mean it. Another thing that really makes the most joy out of prayers, is during sujood, complain to Allah about all your problems, I swear you’ll feel relief afterwards and that makes the prayer like a drug you are addicted to, because you feel happy after you finish. Just tell Allah about your problems and ask for help, because he is the only one who can actually help you.

I found this helpful. Try to keep our wudhu. It protects our prayers. Renew our faith and wash our sins. It keeps me calm and in peace and closer to Allah. Try it even it's hard. It will change your personality, your thoughts, it will remind us of Allah. Omg! It really helps.
Sometimes its really hard to wake for Fazr and lift your blanket. And the water in winter is so cold it feels like you are having a cryography surgery. But still its always worth. His lectures has made me strong, stronger than ever .May Allah tallah bestow us the power to wake up everyday for Fazr.

I am 14 and I feel ashamed of myself for not praying for so many days and months. I do admit I'm genuinely a lazy person in general but lazy for prayer it makes me more ashamed of myself. I sometimes do pray when I feel like I need to or tell Allah that I'm sorry but then several days later I just stop and I seriously hate doing this. Absolutely true my brother. Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him) dealt with the worst and ill mannered haters yet he always replied back with a smile and was kind to them in return. There was once a woman who used to throw garbage at him all the time while he walked down the street and one day he noticed that she didn't throw any garbage at him so he went to her house to see if she was okay, and she was actually really sick- and every since that day she was touched by him and never ever did that again. Not sure if she even converted. So to the muslims here, remember all the prophets always replied back with a smile and kind words, because this is what Islam really is- a very loving and peaceful religion- we must follow the best leaders and have more patience.
Alhamdulillah, same here, revert from New Zealand. Struggling with the 5 salat, because for me this Deen is so awesome I don't know where to start, what is priority.. Is it learning Arabic? learning about the Sahaba (r.a.)? Fiqh? Jihad? Hajj? etc. etc. Because of my love for Islam, my mind is like a butterfly, flitting between all the subjects pertaining to Islam. I forgot the basics.. I ask Allah(swt) to slow me down and help me get the basics right.. For me, I believe salat to be the most important of all for a new Muslim. If I'm wrong, it's on me. Please Muslims, dont argue with the ignorant when you realize their reality. Better focus on yourselves and the fellow muslims. There is great Fitna here.
