I don’t understand how the machine makes the threads
It looks like they just press it in a mold (press the mold around the wire)
The material is not hardened yet at that point.. so that's quite possible.
They are rolled on.
It rolls the semi finished screw shaft between two cookie size and shape slotted dies. Slot teeth have desired thread shape. Metal is cold rolled, still soft, it is later heat treated and hardened in an oven.

calipers of that sort normally have an accuracy somewhere in the range of +- 0.001 of an inch or around .025mm. I might question the calibration due to the cracked crystal not indicating the highest of care but its still good enough for what he's doing with it. If you need screws accurate to an extremely high precision your not getting em from what looks like a Chinese mass manufactured screw factory.
