I remember Sony and Nintendo used to have some fantastic console and handheld designs in the PS3 Wii PSP PSVita 3DS generation and PS4, and Sony with PS3 and PS4 controllers. Now they rarely bother with limited editions, and when they do the designs suck. Microsoft have smashed it with their console designs and Design Lab for controllers.
I'm blessed to say I own one of these, only because my local retail store (I live in New Zealand) was awesome as fuck and only sold these to people who went in-store and spoke to them in person without paying upfront until it came out. My heart goes out to everyone who can't get their hands on one due to the horrendous scalping situation.

I was with my friend who brought a ps5 shortly after its release and when he unpacked it, there was nothing even remotely special about the way it was presented or boxed up. Microsofts premium feel and look when you unbox the SX is on a different level.
I’m a little late but you are absolutely correct, when I got my PS5 last summer it didn’t feel like a huge deal when unboxing almost just meh but it’s still nice, waiting on that gears of war edition

Funny that this video is 3 weeks old…that’s how old my Halo Series X console is tomorrow. I didn’t realize the Halo Infinite game came with it, until I started looking at the ins and outs of the console itself. It was a nice surprise. And I’m REALLY happy with it, especially since I got it for an early Christmas present, from my long time and very good friend at MS.
Considering how he does everything to perfection, you just know he was upset that he didn’t, intuitively, cut the box open so that Xbox was orientated the correct way.

One thing I’ll say I live about Microsoft and their consoles is the limited edition consoles are always done very very good. Sony sometimes haven’t had the best limited edition consoles.., the best one for Sony IMO was the death stranding PS4 which is my favourite game ever so I lived that console… the halo infinite series X is very good and I live it… I had the Cyberpunk xbox one x which was also fantastic. I’m looking forward to any special edition PS5’s Sony make.
My buddy and I used to play halo all the time, every achievement on every game and knew just about every exploit, he passed away early 2015 to a drunk driver and I haven't touched halo nor any of the game titles we used to play, nor do I go fishing anymore. He was a major part of my life and I miss him dearly. We definitely would have had two of these consoles running around if he was here.
