I put one on an old Motorola flip phone roughly 20 years ago. The case of the phone was aluminum and so was the battery cover. The sticker served as an ornament to make the inside of the phone look like it was an instrument from a Borg cube.
The first moto z force is mostly alum with glass panels that shatter if you disassemble...nice and pretty but shoulda had a backing. Second version they fix that complaint.. by making them aluminized plastic blocking all possible back signal which is even worse with the mods on. At home i have to leave everything off it to keep signal and after repair left em off a while and doubled my signal with half the dead spots. Eventually just gonna make a repeater or something.
Great one Andrew. The human brain see things that aren't there (Anthropomorphism) and about 99% of the people in the world are technically inapt and there are some who find a way to exploit it.
passive reflectors... I'll pass ;) NOW...with that said, I gotta new use for these stickers, that is, if it's economically viable...(would need a lot of 'em) Cover a room wall with them with that pattern, I bet the design would look prety cool ;)
auhauah thanks man, great stuff ... i have to say i bought some of this (0.8 gbp) and i kinda expect to be a scam but still hoping and for such a small amount of money i took the risk ahuahuha thanks again!
It was a nice way to do a test. I'm an communication systems engineer. The only thing I'm wondering about is that you only tested one orientation of the receiving device . Is it possible for that sticker to provide back shielding to improve s/n with a copper sticker on the side of the receiving antenna pointed away from the transmitting antenna
About what i figured, at most youre just reflecting an omni into one direction and on a cell phone itself thats just gonna drop your signal every time you move.
Crap,,,i was hoping these would work, my phone is struggling on signal even in good signal areas, would anyone know what would work or why I'm struggling for signal, i have a Samsung A70 an tried almost everything setting wise but still no chance, not even a slight change? Help please
If its not connected to the antenna then................. i cant see how it would work unless it "captures" signal and allows built in antenna to see more? but i dont think thats physics . Is the sticker at least metal of some kind and it would need to be shaped and tuned for the exact freq in high band? These are line of sight signals ?
I gathered they don't work but can anyone point me towards a product that does? I live in rural Australia and my reception is a joke. Surly there must be some kind of affordable external antenna or something I can plug into my phone but I can't find anything that looks trustworthy... Any help would be appreciated greatly.
With all that said, is there a way to have a passive antenna repeater in the same package? Say a copper trace with a few passive components tuned for LTE to essentially boost signals? Think of backscatter transmitter/repeaters.
What is that antenna you use? I can't get signal very well and only one network and it keeps dropping out only can pick it up in two places in the house only internet I've got, I don't mind if it's plugged in or is there wireless, could you use an old router thinking if I could plug that into the phone
People like me wasting there money like this. It's all bs folks. Sad trade scam pass the good word eh? Thank you commenter for getting the message out.
I bought set of 5 cz its cool design sticker but now i got it its something else. Supposed to be serve different purpose but forced to serve 5th dimensional look enhancer charm. 😂
Im glad I watched this, I was skeptical to begin with, seriously a sticker will boost the signal, some people don't have common sense anymore they spent it when they were little

Spot on thank you for a true and scientific walk through you have earned a sub and like 👍🏻 😊
Sorry for erroneous post, I hadn't looked at date of your post. But I did subscribe. Thanks again Sir.
So this alien tech don't work, thanks UA-cam this info to see a review. Thanks sir ! Greets from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
This reminds me of stickers that were meant to protect the user from harmful radiation
And of course if they did work you would have no signal 😁
Scratch n' Sniff stickers. With the moldy scent of "freshly finessed".
😁

They might not work where you are but they do in other countries and when there installed on the outside of the back they do boost signal up to 2 bars
Physics is a bitch though
Amaizing experiment, looks too good to be true and it might make the signals worse in actual effect lol.

Thank you for this video... and the comprehensive test
You just saved me £2.40. 😅 Nice one - cheers 👍
ohh god! back to 7 years ago my college friends use that sticker they believe can boost signal cellular phone
Some sellers sell the same sticker to block out the radiation. Trouble is if you block out the radiation you don’t have a signal. 🤣🤣
Holding your phone in one hand and putting your other hand in the air will probably do a better job
Or standing on one leg and sticking your finger in your ear helps
@@andrewmcneil 😂
I stand on my wifes head when i cant get service and get 4 bars
Not to be mean to you but if you put the video in 1.25X speed it sounds much nicer, solid video otherwise tho! 💛
😁😁
Ah, you see , they're obviously Quantum Dielectric Resonators so you're probably using them in the wrong universe! 😉
😂
My mum was sold one before like 10 years ago. In her case, she was told that they block cancer causing radiation while making or receiving calls 😂😂😂
only if she stuck it on her head where she held the cellphone :)
If you block out the radiation you don’t have a signal.😂

Even before studying rf i kinda assumed... But still watching for the laugh
tremendous information we have been fooled by a piece of adhesive tape and a piece of aluminum or copper. that's like an antenna reflector
My brother bought 3 of these for 500 pesos, and when I tried it, I think there's no change on the signal strength.
Eres de MX? Cuál sería el valor en dolar? Y si me puedes decir si funciona o no?
@@juvenalttitotapia1081 $27 USD
its designned to stick on ur phone screen so you cant see the signal strangh
Good job sir ..keep it ..
Thank you, I will

They still sell these? I've not seen one of these in 20 years
thanks, you saved me 1£
Thanks for posting
Im going to give one a go for fun 😂
Thank you Sir for the nice video. Can you provide the patreon link for support again. Have a great day Sir.

Well, I stuck one of these to my phone. I now have a phone worth $19.95 more.
🤣🤣👍

I don't know his experience but I have a Samsung s3 and a Samsung A23 and it boost the signal up from 5g to 6g

wtf, just use external ant
Good thanks. I just saw them and was very interested can it even work.

Make this...then point it @ your signal source....

It’s a broad band antenna works from 900 MHz to 21 GHz had them left over from a project years ago .
If it worked stickers would be put on by manufacturers snake oil

Just ran across these online and I sort of thought it wouldn't work I feel bad for the people that fall for this snake oil.
Probably this sticker is not working. Also, the TEST is not well done. It should have been tested at -120 dB.
Sticker not working? Your joking right?
@@andrewmcneil 😂
Just a fancy sticker 😂
😂
I waste my money already 🥲
The question begs. Could you make one that actually works???
No not with the antennas they put in phones

thz I was about to buy and sell them.
I'd prefer to use Izal than these.
Hey! what you are saying i cant understand; answer me is this really work?
I think your test stand is setup incorrectly. You need to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow.
Nope
I've always wonder if you could use these in some useful way though.
NFC Antenna? 😁

How about phone it is a built in?
Does the SP-11 pro one work? My dad bought a few

Is this valuable ?? Plese reply me
Shame on those who buys the sticker hahha
So... whistleblower?
Gosh. LOL!!
