You were single handedly responsible for igniting my love for G-Shocks with your absolutely brilliant videos highlighting the GA-2100 modding capabilities! You are undoubtedly talented and your wit only highlight's your sharpness... the way you edit your videos is a testament to that... it is genius in plain sight for sure, I'm sure the form over function ratio for this model may be suitable for some I feel with this platform I'll share that I am a bit disappointed that the idea doesn't match it's asking price in the least sense. I'm sure if one was granted several models for free than the practicality of the true cost goes over-looked. If I loose the crown, I am cooked. The kit doesn't come with intricate parts a la cart like such AND if I wanted to boss out and get multiple kits like yourself I would have to buy an ENTIRE other KIT, which exponentially dwindles the practicality of my gshock. I do understand that changing the case and even bracelet compromises the original fidelity and protection for the watches' module- but it does look cool. I also feel that there will be a seventh improved version is coming shortly- with MORE variations or so, so paying 150% more for the 6th instead of the 5th generation seems a bit much with less to receive. It seems greedy and I'm disappointed because without a doubt SKXMOD is top tier. Top Tier with Amnesia that it's base built it.
I think it is not greedy, after all, compared with the Gen 5, sapphire glass, anti-scratch coating, and thin thickness, are the increase in cost, for an ultimate modification program, I think the price is still in a reasonable range.
And this is why I wear this exact mod everyday it’s that good, even compared to expensive ones watches I prefer this everyday over anything else. My friend also has a Rolex Daytona and prefers this particular mod as his everyday as well
Looking forward to try out the Gen.6 clasp and get more case thinness with my small wrist. I have the Gen.5 and love the metal bracelet and rubber pin buckle band which didn’t need to be adjusted to the last hole, but I was let down with the AP lettered clasp for the band. It was the least comfortable option and just didn’t feel secure, Even on the last adjustment hole. Overall though SKXMod has the best kits I’ve seen for Casioaks or Casios in general, I highly recommend.
So with this new case, I have to uncrew the crown to poke into holes on the left to cycle modes or adjust anything? That's a little excessive. They went form over function for sure.
Personally I would prefer that the left side buttons were still usable without the needle and that the crown instead had a small driver head for the screwbars so that the straps could be changed on the go if you didn't have the appropriate screwdriver handy.
@@DesignAtelier Add it as a 6.5? Provided it doesn't egregiously blow the price up, I would gladly pay for a model that is a balance of form and function. As it stands however, it's still absolutely stunning. Makes me want to find a chapter ring that looks a little less plastic now that it's so visible lol
If you want a loosely based Royal Oak, give the Casio Edifice EFR-S108 a try, it’s a great sporty watch with a solid stainless steel case/bracelet, 100M water resistance, and a sapphire crystal for less than $150. Got mine in Tiffany Blue as a summer watch and love it. Not quite a PRX, but close enough in quality and it looks really nice without being too formal.
Don’t order unless you’re totally sure. G-Shock is known to change their case setups and geometry to the point that you can slot in these cases right away.
@@DesignAtelierto late. I already did. I’ll just use it as is for the meantime and wait till the gen6 bracelets come out then. I really like the new look! Thanks bro
I have a GA2100 with White hands and black face, and one with GM2100 Dark Blue, should i go with silver case for the Ga2100 or (Black or silver case for the GM2100) if I can only get one?
I just bought the new Casioak Edifice Tiffany dial (EFR-S108D-2BV). Pretty sweet and much better specs than the Casio date just and Casio PRX tiffany dial watches they put out over the past year.
It's a quality kit but at over $250? Come on now that's too much. I prefer the rubber band but even then it's too much. Not a fan of the huge side winder of the v6 either.
The edits on this video are amazing

6:03 I am impressed, you went through extra in that shot! LOL
Glad you liked that.
Love these Casioak mods. Will probably be the next watch I pick up after a square G Shock.
“Mermaid wrists” 😆👍🏼
Love that slimmer mod. Thanks for sharing!
No problem 😊
Great Video. Really nice work.
So we buy the watch then the mod kit? New to these watches. Got confused cause u have 2 watches in the beginning thne built a 3rd?

I’ll take that as a sweet compliment. Thank you!

Yea exactly. It’s form over function. There’s a market for that.

@@Maxiius honestly I could make that work without sacrificing the water resistance too. But then it would inflate the price more.

SKX Mod Casioak Ultra: Form Over Function? #casio #gshock #casioak
Really considering ordering one... Will this look atrocious on my 7 inch wrists ?
I think 7 inch would be just fine.
@@DesignAtelierthanks
I am wearing my CasiOAk Mod, GA-B2100. Steel case with the Gen1 bracelet. Love it.
I need a base Ga-B2100. All in time!
@@DesignAtelier I bought mine used from WUS, $90 each shipped. Just so I could MOD them.
@@TheBigWrist sweet deals, bro!
Do they sell the watches like the one u built?

Great video. As always.
I presume it would lose its 200m water resistance?
How confident would you be swimming/diving with it once Gen 6 modified?
Very nice to see the took the AP logo out of the strap folding clasp kit.
Ive been tempted in getting one for the AE-1200WH looks like a fun time building it
Reminds me I still need to review that.
Can you please share the exact design you showed at 9:45. I’m buying it ASAP
Does manhattan blue come with the silver dials or did you get that from the other watch?
It has style but I wonder how you navigate the menus? I mean there are the "a" and "c" buttons which become unavailable...
Hi there! Love your reviews! I just bought the new Gshock GBM2100 tough solar Bluetooth model. Will this fit the gen6 bracelet?
By the way, I got the Tiffany or lite blue color bezel

Is the chapter ring black or the original blue? Great looking mod. Gonna try it out.
yes the chapter ring is black
Sweet looking mod
It is!
I use my timer a lot so unscrewing the crown to operate the button is a pass.
Pretty dang cool
If this mod, if properly done, waterproof?

I think it should be possible but it would be a big change including the bracelet width
I reached out to the company and they said they don’t think consumers would like smaller cases! 😞
@@SoCalWatchReviews awww. Let me put my mouth on to that pile of request.
There is the GMA S2100 which is a slightly smaller version. It’s not under 40mm though

no. Its the real Casio G-shock. you just modify the case and bracelet.
