This video just saved my boobs and nipples. I was pumping on vacuum level 12 and my nipples are constantly sore and I dread pumping. So glad to hear it should actually be comfortable, because I was like I don’t remember it being this painful when I had my son 10 years ago.
I'm a lactation consultant in training- this is super helpful! If a parent is doing a pumping session immediately after a feed, can they skip the initiation cycle?
@vijisakthi4784 I would research if there are any in person trainings near you, or there are a lot of really good online ones. I'm going through GOLD Lactation Academy which is the entire educational requirement and prep for the IBCLC track and test. It's like 110+ hours self paced and I definitely recommend it. But it is quite expensive, so if you can't shell out that much money right now you can look for classes to be a lactation educator which will get you some baseline training, usually a few hours like 1 or 2 days. If you're on Facebook there are a lot of good groups connecting people just getting started and those in the industry.
This is the best straight forward, to the point spectra tutorial I have ever seen! I wish I had seen this when I first started pumping
