I'm 73 and friends I had for 60 years are dying off. In the last 5 years I've lost 5 friends of over 60 years. Last April I lost my longest and dearest friend. Our B-days were 30 days apart the same year. Living 2 houses away we grew up together since we were in diapers. We are both into old cars he had a 61 Vette, I have a 64 Dodge 330 max wedge. We were planning a rt 66 trip from Chicago to Santa Monica for our 70 B-day but it didn't happen as we both had major surgery. We were talking about doing it on our 75th to save some cash so we could rent a Challenger or Stang or something cool. That was Saturday April 20. Monday he went to his business and opened up. Went to the bathroom and dropped dead. If I'm still here I'm going and I'm taking some of him with me. I will let some I Chicago and some in the Pacific and the rest alone the way. I hope to record and meet motor heads along the way.
People tend to see gentleness & kindness as a sign of weakness & a target. Deception is simply Deception - not Character. Health is so Important. Thanks.
If you dont like to be alone and in solitude, not lonely but alone, maybe you are in bad company with yourself... look inside and find the inner peace and joy and let the outside world be..I like company but I also like being alone
Thanks you for your kind words, I am the last of my generation of my family what I mean is that all that came before me is gone I am the oldest it's kind of funny all the things that I learned from my family over the years have came to pass I thank the lord for his mercy grace.
I'm the only one left here among my close friends. They are not replaceable in the way they may have been in my youth. Children are loving but understandably busy. Luckily being alone has been my preference since childhood, but if I'm not careful I can get agoraphobic.
At an older age, most of your friends and relatives have passed away. Look at your family photo album. You might be the only survivor. Find a church, find new good things to do, find friendship with other survivors. May God bless you.
Using the word "lack" suggests a deficiency, though the presentation does not show this. Maybe "appear to live in the absence of friends and family" could be used.

The day will come when we close our eyes for the last time so enjoy the days we have left. Love the ones that are close to you.
