For years, I had some bad morning habits like skipping breakfast, checking my phone first thing, and drinking coffee before water. I didn’t realize how harmful they were until I learned they could shorten my lifespan. Now, I’ve switched to healthier routines, like drinking water first and having a proper breakfast, and I feel so much better

When I turned 75, I used to visit my friends and family often, thinking it was the best way to stay connected. But after a few visits, I noticed I was feeling more tired and overwhelmed than before. One day, after a particularly exhausting trip to see an old friend, I realized my body wasn’t as strong as it used to be. My knees were sore, and my energy was drained. That’s when I decided to slow down and focus more on my health. Instead of frequent visits, I started having more phone conversations and video calls with my loved ones. It made a big difference. Now, I feel more rested and still connected without putting unnecessary strain on myself

My wife passed away 20 years ago. In the beginning, I was always filled with sadness over her passing, but having my children by my side helped ease the pain, and gradually, I found myself moving forward and letting go of the grief.

All true and definitely practical for seniors to thrive separately so lesser problems is likely to occur unlike one when the elderly live with their children with siblings having very much different lifestyles truely cannot be altogether for long

I disagree strongly with this video. As a 50+ divorced male, I sold my home and moved in with my parents when my mom got sick to help take care of her as she fought cancer. After taking her home on hospice until the end, I stayed to help my 75 year old Dad out at his request, keep him company, and help him financially since he'd just lost not only his spouse of 58 years but half his income as well. I'm a healthcare professional, work full-time, and earn a good living, but I'm amazed at the stigma people attach to this. What happened to family taking care of family? He raised me - the least I can do is ensure he's taken care of when he needs it as he gets older.

I'm 58 with a white neatly trimmed beard, and ageism is definitely real. I am in good shape, move like I am much younger with a voice that is clear and strong and still I get the BS. I lay low and keep my mouth shut, despite this not being my nature - I like to interact with people, but so many seem to have very obvious ulterior motives, or are dismissive so I just keep to myself, esp since I am one of those "wealth whisperers".

Disagree! Sharing your hard-earned wisdom and assets with your children can be a meaningful part of retirement, even after 70. It’s all about balance and ensuring they’re ready for it.

We have to take certain secrets to our graves.

As an 80-year-old, I’ve learned that keeping some things private allows us to live with dignity and peace. Your advice about not sharing certain personal details rings so true to me. It’s a reminder that some things are best kept close to our hearts.
