I really enjoyed the flight on this classic airliner !
The cloud surfing was fun too :)
Great video, and it's the last-remaining originally delivered American MD-80 and last-remaining MD-82 at American Airlines! You're very lucky you got to fly on it!
What a speedy takeoff! Great video man. As the MD-80's are retired the Classic livery will soon be phased out.
Awesome video! Yes, this is American's last MD-82! I've flown on that plane once and seen it many times. I was in the same row, but opposite side of the plane. Great video.
love this video....miss my time living in San Antonio
N501AA is the last MD-82 in AA's fleet
Still don't know why the MD-80's of American Airlines are still the old liveries, when the rest are the newer ones.
It's because they're getting retired in September with not much time to paint them all over.
beautiful jt8d sound
I've seen this plane at Tulsa before! And hopefully this will be my plane to Omaha from Dallas on May 4 when I fly out.
Always nice to see MD-80s at DFW Airport
How did you find an American jet with the old livery in 2019?
Well, American still has 28 MD-80s in service, all of which are in the old livery and will get retired in September, unfortunately. However, after these Super-80s are retired, they are leaving one 737-800 in the old livery as a special heritage livery, which is N921NN. Enjoy the Super-80s while you can!
@@gabesuper80 End of an era. 😭
RedLP5000S yep unfortunately
american never repainted there md80s with their new logo
