HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMBERLYNN! When I was a your age I had turtles too. Loved them. I had one out on the floor once, forgot about him, didn’t know where he went and the next day he was right out there on the floor, all white and dry. I gave some love and put him in water and fed him and he was so happy! I remember the names of two of my turtles, Betty and Veronica from the Archies, lol. Your family did an amazing job on everything for your birthday. I think they all need a hug and a big thank you. All in all, I see a most amazing little girl that will go far with the help of her amazing family. Lots of love! 🎂🎉🐢. Happy Mother’s Day to a great mom! 💐
Happy Birthday Emberlynn! Glad you have a new friend.Little Raisin is adorable..just remember not to much handling..these turtles can get stressed if to much. Remember to feed Raisin only leafy dark greens Spring mix, kale, collards.some romaine Never Iceberg lettuce,Dandelion Flowers and greens small amount of fruit only apples and strawberries and vegetables such as carrots ,cucumber, broccoli and cabbage. The amount of food each day equates to the size of his shell. They need to be fed 5 days a week with 2 days you choose not to feed..break it up. Shallow water only soaks 10 minutes 2 times a week..this helps their hydration and helps them poop..the white is the urates (urine). These turtles need UVB 90-100 degrees daily so a basking light source above their enclosure . Light sources stay on 12-14 hours a day turn off at night. A good temp for their enclosure is 68-80 degrees. Enjoy BTW I work at an Animal Hospital hence the husbandry information. Thanks for sharing. Blessings ,Take care and stay safe

Oh my Gosh! I'm sitting here crying over all the people honking and handing Emberlynn all such lovely gifties and balloons and honking! What a special Birthday she had! And a Turtle! I had 3 little green turtles and a poster on my wall fell down into it and it got out. We looked everywhere! Months later we saw it walking by dragging a dust bunny! lol! He had a good meal that night and never tried to get loose again. Such nice memories she will have of this day, turning a 'can't-have-a-party-with-other-kids' into a fun birthday after all! Happy belated birthday to Emberlynn!! It looks like she had an amazing day!! The slideshow of her was adorable. She is a cutie pie! My friend let her tortoise walk around their house. They had mostly tiled floors luckily. Lol. The tortoise would come running (as fast as they can run..lol) when it was dinner time just like a dog.
We had Olive Garden today for Mother's Day. Ordered ahead of time and had a 5:30pm pickup time. The pickup line was so long it was 7:00pm when we got our food. It was delish though!!
