I know the trombone feature is supposed to feel weird with the timing, but I've never heard phasing like this from bloo before. It's still my favorite show this season, and I can't wait to see it evolve further
Yeah they still feel a little hollow but I LOVE that he brings back the motif from the opener and the additional trombone solo to tradition is really nice too.
That tempo split at 10:15 progressively gets worse until 10:30. It sounds so chaotic. I would like to say it's because of the perspective, but I don't think thats the case as they are center audience. Hopefully they can get that super clean by finals
It phased in this performance, beyond intention of the piece. You can tell because the intensity of the hornline dropped. When it’s locked in, it’s really good!
Not loving the changes to Bump. I thought trumpets were doing that pretty well, not sure why they made it easier and took out the articulate Cs, Ds, snd Es.
Might be an endurance thing. If you're adding a new closer in, which Bluecoats have a history of doing, it's probably good to look at places where the performers can get tired out and rework some stuff. I feel like they had issues with endurance in 2019, then added a closer that made things even worse, so hopefully this is just some forward thinking.
THEY CAME TO MY TOWN TODAY AND I WALKED ALL THE WAY OVER THERE TO GO SEE THEM AND I WAS RECORDING BUT MY PHONE RAN OUT OF STORAGE AND I WAS QUICKLY DELETING STUFF ON MY PHONE AND ACCIDENTALLY PERMANENTLY DELETED ONE OF THE 2 MINUTE VIDEOS I RECORDED OF THEM 😭😭😭😭
I didn't get to see their show at Murphreesborough bc they did exhibition but I did not like the audio at all, it was nice at the beginning but the remix of it throughout the show was a bit much and it sounded weird.
I REALLY dislike how they're using amplification this year and last year. I'll never understand this much use of narration, especially when it competes with the performers. I've been a fan of their show designs for a long time, but their move towards so much narration is a big turnoff, IMO.
I think they are on to something in terms of story telling through vocals, but like you said, last years vocals told a story, this year, they are just repetitive, I wish they would change that up a bit, no hate though, love me some bloo!
Love the show, but the brass and battery uniforms are so washed out and look like camo--very frumpy in my opinion. Your website's nice graphic design work does not translate well to the field with those uniforms. Simplify the graphics on the uniforms--less is more Just an opinion from someone with 20+ years in the advertising agency business. Still, Bluecoats I love what you do!
Lots of opinions about their Unis this year, but I have to agree with you on this one, I think they should have gone with something much more simplistic.
The changes to the ballad are so so good. Much more faithful to the source material and it flows so much better now.
I agree
Wow bump is ROUGH. I really hope they polish it because it is by far the coolest part of the show.
From what I’ve heard so far this has been the worst bump they’ve had, it happens tho 🤷♂️
Got some working on to do with Bump. Definetly one of the harder movements with the tempo modulation.
bluecoats love moving their hips lmao
Never seen a comment as true as this one
WOW! Love seeing the changes to an already awesome ballad. Can't wait to see what they do to spice up the ending for finals!
Same here, bluecoats have evolved their show wonderfully so far, cant wait to see what they do next!

yeah i get worried it’s gonna completely fall apart every time
@@liamr269it KINDA sounds like it loses timing near the end, before the sustain. idk maybe it’s just me
Terrible timing
It’s supposed to sound like that? I feel like it’s different every time
It tears in every recording I’ve seen but its still my favorite part and once it gets consistent oh man its gonna be good.
The trumpet single note repeat needs some serious cleaning
it normally sounds much better, i feel like this was just a really unfortunate run for them but we'll see ig
Wow! they added a lot of new lines for the flugel soloist in the ballad!
Yeah they still feel a little hollow but I LOVE that he brings back the motif from the opener and the additional trombone solo to tradition is really nice too.
The ballad was saved. Holy hell this sounds lovely.
Best ballad since 2018, and they still need to wring out that interlude between the ballad and closer, good show either way
the zoom on this camera is heavenly
Thanks bro! I try my best to give you all quality content!

It's a metric modulation that happens on the upbeat so it's gonna sound weird
Listen to the original, it's pretty spot on lol
@@hsbsikua right I'm aware the earlier postings were clean, but this performance seemed very off.

listening back, it wasn’t as clean as it could’ve been, but alas… it’s gonna sound weird because of the nature of the source material/arrangement
I literally just searched for this but couldnt find it. So i watched crown instead.. now this is here XD
I got you

love the end of the opener and they added the “bloo” so based

Btw they did SO good and it was so loud and beautiful
Why is the whole bump segment still super dirty?
love this
Great camera work!
9:23 uh oh
9:24
Tell the poem once at the beginning and then shut that old man up! I came for drum corps.
4:58 wheres the bari 1 part 😭

I loved their use of vocals last year but this is just not it.
Brass and perc sounding good tho

Bump needs help

It looks much better live.
Omg ..
Way too much pre recorded crap ....
The horns only pay half the time
And no melody....
Not enjoyable ..
You should compare how much the bluecoats hornline plays in their show to every other corps
You must be old
Still a fun show to watch, certainly a bluecoats show in terms of content, I personally enjoyed every minute of this show!
no blue no coats just woke progressive crap.... am I in the right ballpark?
@@BluesClues2sbro i have no idea if youre messing with that guy or if youre fr 💀💀
