Hello, my solar edge app shows consumption but nothing for production. When I pull it up on the web browser for my site, it shows my consumption and production. I recently had my optimizers changed out after they quit working. Could that be a dynamic at play, my installer seems stumped. Thanks
Great summary Joe. I had a SE system and switched to Enphase for battery reasons (before SolarBank came out). I do have some unused solar panels. Is there a minimum number of panels required to use a SE 7600 HD Wave. Hoping to reactivate the SE and use its great monitoring platform. Thaks.
Hello could you help me with the app? I have a 14 and a 6 kw inverters and I’m only able to see the production of the smaller one, what can I do to be able to see the production of both combine in the app? Thanks in advance.
What do you mean "quality monitoring app"? I am on my fourth inverter and am still having problems. Still not working correctly. The only way to get the inverter to charge the LG battery with this broken inverter was to set the system to use the battery for backup only. I wanted to switch to use the battery for consumption, but apparently your "quality" app doesn't allow me to change it. It is an installer only option. I would never have bought solar edge if I knew that the actual user was not allowed to setup the system.
Should the app show the amount of excess energy being sent to the grid in real time? Mine only shows the total production of the panels. It's a brand new system (3 weeks), I think something's configured wrong.
So what it is, I worked for Sunpro for almost 2 years. We exclusively sold Enphase, so I never learned about Solaredge till recently. Both sides have facts and false propaganda spread around about them so I’m trying to reach the facts here, and I fully trust you guys to share the facts. I’m still looking at where to land next as I quit shortly after ADT bought them out and I couldn’t go along with the program
Mine died too back in June July 2023. There was some upgrade from 3G to 4 or 5g. Been trying to reach solar edge for many weeks now and I’m getting no where
@@thetexassaint6571 , No they are no help. We did have a new box put on,. We have over 70 panels placed on our roof and it still does not cover our $270.00 electric bill. I would not advise anyone to get solar panels.
@@charlottekavanaugh5904 70 panels! Damn! Big system . Seems to me that the installer, the sales organization that sold you the system, is screwing up bad because they are primarily responsible for taking care of things like that. Are you located in a cloudy/snowy area? 70 panels to cover a 270$ bill is super not right. Half of those panels should be able to cover that , so I wonder if you have the solaredge app on your phone to verify that all panels and all else are fully functional
@@thetexassaint6571 After counting again I have 76 panels. I also have 3 inverters on the side of my house. I live in Southeast Texas with plenty of sun, no trees shade the panels. I do have the Solaredge app and check it about 3 times a day. After a year and 1/2 the lowest my energy bill has been for 1 month is $100. The other 11 months it's been about $250. Solar panels has been a horrible decision for me.
Hi buddy, I'm new to solar but I'm very interested in a 27-panel solar system {PALLET USED AMERICAN MADE SUNPOWER 435 WATT MONO SOLAR PANELS, around 10 kW ). I need some independent advice before jumping into this adventure. I live in a country where sunlight is what we have in abundance all year round. This kit is being sold on eBay and the brand is Hyundai.)
Not an expert but I do have panels fitted. It is a complex business; the Grid you are connected to will need to know what you are installing as your excess production (from 11.745kW system) will need to be something that the grid can cope with. Effective fitting and effective control systems are the key, and safety is a big consideration too.
@@Bati_Maizinha65 Thank you for your response. I have a well above average knowledge of Physics but I would not know anywhere near enough to manage such a project without specialist help. I would suggest finding a contractor with a good reputation and making sure that you understand their proposals before you go ahead ( that’s a good way of checking their expertise - if they can’t explain things clearly they might not be very expert) . We are considering Vehicle to Grid with an electric car within the next year or two. We would like to see if we can manage without a domestic battery but we haven’t ruled one out
Profoundly irritating. We have installed a Solaredge battery system. The monitoring app is no longer available in the UK. In fact you are instructed to delete it because it won't load. The Solaredge app that is available does not provide access to the individual panels. Consequently you can't confirm whether they are all operating properly or not. The glitsch means the installer can view the panels but the homeowner cannot.
I would suggest you contact the installer just incase they made a setting change unbeknown but the installer must select dashboard and layout view in order for you to view the panel level monitoring. Our customers here from based in South England can all access this without issue worth a check hopefully that helps 😊
only the app from the installer can show individual panel production, the customer does not have this option in the app..

What does mean life time 866 kwh Andy solar is new and this year I already have 865kwh what does that mean?

Hi Mike. There is another piece you need in order to have import-export monitoring. You can find that here: ua-cam.com/video/yAg0sSx0f8s/v-deo.html
When would you guys out here recommend SolarEdge over Enphase, or Vice versa?
I generally recommend Enphase for 90% of projects. If you absolutely need the cheapest price per Watt, then we can do SolarEdge
@@SolarSurge Thank you ☀️
@@SolarSurge A question hat just came to mind: what about clipping with Enphase? Has that been an issue before?

My SolarEdge box stopped working after 9 months. Is this normal? SolarEdge tried to restart the box but realized it was dead.

My inverter ran for a whole month before I got an error and it stopped working. I though they were better than this.
