It's amazing how much he grow up and how much loved his received. I came here after Taeyong's absent from NCT's official schedule for the first time. I don't know how what kind of person that hold a grudge on him but that person need to find a life and leave him alone because this guy here is obviously not the type of person you accused him to be. He's lovely, kind, soft and the most hardworking man i know. HE'S AN AMAZING LEADER OF NCT.

One day? That boy has already begun showing everyone. He is an amazing kid. I hope he remains as humble as he has become. Funny, becoming a star is the last thing that humbles people. But not with him. He has an enormous responsibility now. For him, this is how he will make his amends. I'm totally by his side. Everyone deserves a chance to change. We all have done or will do something that is unacceptable, but rarely do we learn from. He is trying to find peace in this. So he becomes a public icon, and he does his best to be honorable in the eyes of his young team mates. I think that its a noble start. He cant change what happened but he can change things to ensure he never does it again or change and not let his members repeat his mistakes. You can tell he is taking his role very seriously. Lets also not forget he is still very young. Mistakes are supposed to be made when youre young to ensure they aren't repeated later in life. Now,if only more people could realize the error of their ways and fix them instead of blaming everything else. This kid totally deserves every chance in the world to better himself.

you're so sweet. Thank you. I really just starting to get to know this kid. And to me he is a kid. Even if my photo looks like I'm young, I'm not....ok I'm young but not 20 young. I'm 33. I have made so many poor choices that I thought were impossible to come back from but I did. no matter what, if you are changing to better yourself then you need room to allow that change to happen. This means that people will try to keep you in the past and forever try to make you pay for what you have done. Even though ive done some bad things, I would have never changed if I didn't fight to. people only stay in the past because they do not want to see people change for the better. They want so badly for the person whos trying to change to consistently make the same mistakes so they can be like " see! See I told you! She's a piece of crap!" This is a problem when someone has this happen and they cant pull through. People begin hurting themselves or sabotaging the good thins that have already started happening because they believe they are not worthy of happiness. I am here to say that I don't care ( within reason) what he did. He is young and he is changing and he deserves to every good thing he is working so hard from. It's not like he is a star and got worse, he is ashamed of himself. No one can punish you worse than you can punish yourself. The thing is, people who do this shaming to other people are really just sad and lonely. If they weren't, they would never feel the need to hurt people. He is rising above it all and at his own pace. The only person he has to prove anything to is himself, and he is doing that. An article with evidence and receipts has been translated that reveals Ty sent a Gundam toy to a kid and during the process of shipping it out, a piece of the toy fell off (I believe the mini gun?). The kid complained so Ty offered to replace the missing piece but the kid refused and called Ty a scammer. Ty and the kid got into an argument (where Ty and the kid both said some mean/inexcusable things) which ended with Ty giving him a refund. The fat shaming comments were made up by a male site and the Japanese bullying comments were also fabricated (but people believe the kid was Japanese so that could be where that came from). So literally Ty had one bad experience with selling something online and that somehow translated into he's a scammer...wow that's sad. The reason SM didn't let go of Taeyong after the rumour (the rumour escalated in 2014) is because he is such a good kid and they couldn't believe he'd do anything like that. Also, no one would have believed the company's statement and them denying would make k-netz even more pissed and it'd make things worse. K-netz probably wouldn't even want to believe if SM released a statement+evidence. Not only Taeyong but SM would be under fire as well.

I just don't understand how can people make up rumors and destroy someone's innocent career. this kid accepted all the hate and criticisms he don't deserve. he apologized and cried for things he didn't do, he begged for forgiveness even though he knows that it's not true. how can y'all haters sleep knowing that the rumors you use to break this fragile kid aren't true?. when taeyong cried, I just wanna hug him and comfort him I want him to feel loved I want him to know that many people are supporting and loving him.💕

I'm new in the Nct fandom and i already love Taeyong, but can someone please tell me what did he does when he was young ? Because i don't understand.
TMR-Newt back in 2014 before even debuting and bcs he was already popular a rumor appeared that he scummed someone online back when he was 13 , this person wrote an article and claimed that taeyong sell for him some toys and they were broken and when he asked for his money back taeyong refused and that's when netizens started hating on him and nct ... they bashed him like there's no tomorrow , even nct fans when they debuted ignored him and acted coldly towards him even tho he has the most fans in korea and worldwide those trolls kept hating on him . It got worst when some japanese males published that he insulted them and also fat-shamed a girl in his class which was LIES LIES AND LIES... In fansigns they wouldn't get his signature and many of his predebut fansites closed , kfans tried to speak and let people know he did nothing but no one listened , only his fans believed in him including me and a lot of people who accepted his past present and want to see his future .. SM then decided to make him apologise on tv in order to calm knetzs and it was a little better ... Finally he got more support with firetruck era , and with limitless era kfans finally successed in proving that this whole rumor was a LIE ! Yes ..they invistigated this person who published it and guess what all the posts were deleted so they got information from the site where this person claimed he bought his toys from and it appeared that taeyong DIDN'T SCAM HIM .. He selled for him a toy and some pieces were missing , taeyong offered to meet the buyer in order to give him those parts but the person refused and they both got into a mutual argument leading to a bunch of insults online an that's what taeyong apologised for as he didn't mention what it was but he said he was young and immature.. when this person discovered taeyong was a trainee under SM he published this article and said taeyong scammed him ; they also found those rumors about him being a bully were false as his classmates published online and said he didn't do anything wrong he was quit and didn't talk much seemed etheral to be approached so he didn't have a lot of friends .. with sites publishing those articles about him being innocent and also with SM taking some decisions regarding insults thrown to their artists his haters reduced a little bit , some decided to stan him and koreans finally opened their eyes and his fanbase got bigger even when it was already big .. He himslef doubted his career with nct due to all this but he worked really hard to prove he isn't a bad person and with the fans love and support reaching him he got more confident and showed his true colors which made people admire him and love him ... finally he got the love he deserves and i believe he will get more bcs he deserves the best ..yes there are haters who still call him a scummer and all that but fans are always there to show them the truth .. multiple articles were published about him and it got better now ..not all koreans accpeted him yet but slowly he's proving he deserves to be stanned :)

Cause I know some Korean so I searched online to see what K-netizens think about ty and mark's song: mad city. These netizens are real nasty, men. They commented and disliked every comment saying Ty is good. They denied ty's talent, his rap skills, and his effort. They just keep saying mark's English rap is really good(I do think both of them did a really good job), i always think that korean is super obsessed with America or western culture that people speak in English are superior than others. Those netizens don't even call ty his name but using the word scammer in every comments. Ty made mistakes, but he has changed to be a better person, not just himself he also give advices to his members to remind them not to made mistake and be the best they can. He is definitely bringing the good in other members.I feel so sad that ty's work is based in Korea, I am sure that he has bunch of fans in Korea but those netizens.....they don't even know they are actually cyber bullying which is something they use to hate Ty, those bastards are bullies that ironically judging people human nature.

Let's admit it, to those he's hurt in the past, it won't be easy for them to just forgive and forget. That's understandable because what he did left a scar on those people. Yet, he doesn't deserve to be hated on like this for mistakes that happened years ago. He was a kid, he barely understood anything. It's really heartwarming to see his growth and maturity. He's more aware of his actions and words. You can see how thankful he really is for the fans and he cares so much about his members. Being casted, being a trainee, and then debuting taught him so much not only as a performer but as a person. He met people who impacted him on a large scale. I'm so proud of what he's become and I'm looking forward to see what's in store for him and nct in the coming years. He deserves another chance. Spread love. (I know this is really long but i just had to pour out my thoughts lmao)

when we were young we always made a mistakes and regretful stuffs, he was once a teenager so does you haters out there, he learned from what he did and even apologized for what he did and said, hello he is a human, humans aren't perfect. Despite his past, i will raise both of my hands to give honor to taeyong for staying strong, that no matter how much he regretted everything that happened and that he knows that hell hold this memory forever, he still stood up to be a leader. A leader who want to show to everyone that the past teayong is opposite to the present taeyong, responsible yet loving to everyone. Each one of us has worst stories that we will never forget and will always regret, yes taeyong got one but looking at him right now makes me realize that these stories are mere challenges to make yourself better. An article with evidence and receipts has been translated that reveals Ty sent a Gundam toy to a kid and during the process of shipping it out, a piece of the toy fell off (I believe the mini gun?). The kid complained so Ty offered to replace the missing piece but the kid refused and called Ty a scammer. Ty and the kid got into an argument (where Ty and the kid both said some mean/inexcusable things) which ended with Ty giving him a refund. The fat shaming comments were made up by a male site and the Japanese bullying comments were also fabricated (but people believe the kid was Japanese so that could be where that came from). So literally Ty had one bad experience with selling something online and that somehow translated into he's a scammer...wow that's sad. Yes, he has apologized for what he's done but he's never said he was a scammer. He probably apologized for his use of foul language and his childish behavior online (which I think most of us can relate too).😭😭

The reason SM didn't let go of Taeyong after the rumour (the rumour escalated in 2014) is because he is such a good kid and they couldn't believe he'd do anything like that. Also, no one would have believed the company's statement and them denying would make k-netz even more pissed and it'd make things worse. K-netz probably wouldn't even want to believe if SM released a statement+evidence. Not only Taeyong but SM would be under fire as well.

A lot of idols try to stay away from scandals in the past, but he's one of those idols who is willing to own up to what he did and promise to try to be a better person, not just for his members but also for Korea as a whole, for humanity as a whole. He knows he's not perfect, he knows he's made mistakes. This is one of the reasons why Taeyong's my bias in NCT, because he's so complex and he's flawed and he doesn't hide it.

What even kills me more at night is when I remember that the issue was blown out of proportion. He wasn't a scammer. Search it up on Google, there had been translations of the article proving the issue to be false. The true story is that the toy was missing a piece when the package arrived so the customer got mad and called him a scammer. Taeyong even offered to replace the product but his customer started calling him names and insisted that Taeyong was a scammer so he got mad and fought the customer back. This isn't right, but to take a bit of the real story and falsify everything else to make it a hundred times worse, that's what I couldn't take. And Taeyong, sweet child, he keeps on being ashamed, keeps on apologizing even though he didn't even scam anyone at all. He never bothered to clear things up, for what could he do? The general public is unforgiving. They wouldn't believe him anyway. So I'm here, hoping that the truth could be spread more because I still see people uninformed about it, who still sees Taeyong in a negative light when all along, he doesn't deserve the amount of hate he received.

I don't know, if I got this quote from somewhere, or if I thought of it myself. But, this is the quote. "It's not our past that defines us. It's what we make of ourselves now that defines us. What you do in the present will define you as a person." This goes perfectly with Taeyong. Because, the mistakes he made in the past, will not really define the type of person he is. What he does now in NCT will define him. People will see that he is a different person, then he was in the past.
Everyone is different year to year. Everyone was different when they started school. To their final year of high school. Over time, people will change. When, you are on your death bed. You are different person from when, you are born. Over the course of a person's life. They can change for good or for worst. If, you don't change in some way over the course of your life. You are not human.

true, when i was kid, i did something embrassing too, i regret a lot.. i even cried because of it.. i cried when i think about what i did when i was kid.. like, for real, i cried so badly every night.. and just like 1 years ago, i did something really embrassing in front of people and in front of my crush, because i think i may look cool and cute and all stuff.. but when i think about it again, i was like "why did i even do that? its not cute at all, but its stupid.. just why did i do that?" like for real, i hope i can change the past because it was too embrassing and i feel so embrassed in front of my crush right now..
