Right, because "psychology" 10 or even 20 years ago was "so much better". Psychology is still mentally stuck in the 19th century. Yes, there have been advances like the Electroencephalogram, Alcoholics Anonymous, etc. Yet, for the most part, psychology is stuck and stagnant. Easy to use against itself as history has shown: lobotomies, communists using it against disonents, and now wokists. Jordan Peterson himself is an example of that. What is the difference between a priest and a psychologist? None. Both do the same function. We have only swapped out going to a priest for a psychologist who was supposed to be able to help people improve their mental health using secular methods, yet, at the end of the day, he can only regurgitate the same religious nonsense a priest can. Jordan Peterson might not be "woke". Yet, he is not better than hi's peers. He is just the other side of the same coin.

Dearest Dr. Peterson, I wanted to tell you that I spent my weekend in the Gospels series, following the example of Our Lord who went into a quiet place to rest a while and reconnect to God. And the seminars are absolutely making my Advent this year. I’ve found myself worn out and needed the spiritual renewal and refreshment of Advent, and the Gospels series became to me the vehicle of grace my heart needed. I felt though that I was in conversation with dear old friends as I did often found myself wanting to share bits and pieces I knew from those years of Bible study on my own and in my little corner of Christendom. It was a sacred, holy time, spent with all of you, and it was a precious gift. I will write something of responses later; for now I’m reveling in feeling nourished and strengthened in my faith walk. With so very very much love Your faithful Ruth Anne
Beautifully well said. I've been enjoying them as well and about to begin a sacred heart Novena. Have a peacefilled remaining Advent in this period of mystery and anticipation as we wait for our Lord.

The problem with the turn DEI has taken is the focus on reparations for the past and overprotection to right past wrongs and identifying even more subgroups under the umbrella of inclusion. But those that aren’t visibly or openly part of any subgroup are often excluded if it’s perceived someone hasn’t experienced the same sort of challenges. On the flip side, recognized groups often stake claim to certain things and then it becomes appropriation to try to incorporate it if you are perceived to be outside of the subgroup from which it “began” or without knowledge - but make it difficult to learn and if you learn on your own those outside the group are unaware you’ve done the work and therefore often don’t consider it helpful. Even trying to be a non-SJW ally can often be viewed as speaking out of turn or come across ill-intentioned because of all the emphasis on micro aggressions or guilty acts from those perceived as privileged. But this practice of trying to incorporate the best of all worlds (in a manner that works for an individual based on their personal experiences, beliefs and circumstances to help them live their lives to its highest potential), combined with the fundamental rule in most major religions - treat people how you want to be treated - are really all you need to foster inclusion and understanding. It should be more along the lines of encouraging personal incorporation in a way that’s not performative. There is currently too much focus on reparations and retribution, which is what’s caused even more division. Being included doesn’t mean needing to be coddled and doing so only creates more resentment from all involved, no matter which side of it you’re on. The whole concept is supposed to be about reflection, self evaluation, standing up for others and just treating people with kindness. The fact that the fundamental concept has gotten skewed is the problem. You can be from a different group or no group and still have experienced something similar in a different context, or be able to emphasize with the situation. I believe everyone should just give therapy a try therapy at least 3 times in their life. Maybe if that were more common practice we could tone down some of the overall animosity because it would be more understood that someone not being profoundly for something, doesn’t always mean 100% anti and you are a representative of the subgroup(s) you claim
Please be careful wit Chat GPT. Sometimes the information you get from Chat GPT is pure gold, sometimes its pure hallucination, and sometimes it is purposefully misleading. It is often difficult to tell the difference and crucial to know the truth.

Wonko the sane was a psychiatrist, on a planet a lot like Earth, mentioned in 'The Guide' and he was one of the few not to be affected by the virulent insanity when it gripped his planet, turning most of its population into gibbering maniacs overnight. He, being for all he could see, the only sane person left, had to declare them all insane, and work out some way to treat them. So he built an assylum, with inside walls on the outside, and outside walls on the inside. Gutters and iron bars on the windows inside, and a little garden with a bench where he would sleep, while the outside walls had wallpaper, with beds, tables and chairs against them like you'd find in any mental health institution. He would go to the door every morning with the asylum sign over it, unlock it with a big iron key, and 'enter' the asylum, where he persuaded some of the more lucid patients to help look after the really serious cases. I haven't read The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy in thirty years, but I was reminded of Wonko the sane while I was listening to the figures on that dissertation about the political bias among faculty members. It occurred to me that given the "right wing pseudo-science" responses, someone needs to build an inside out asylum for those who have been primed to think about everything in terms of their neo-marxist indoctrination. There's this woke mind virus sweeping OUR world. A majority of our academics need to be confronted, diagnosed, isolated from the general population and treated until their broken minds show some signs of improvement, and I suspect that Dr Peterson may be our Wonko the sane
This video needs to be followed with a video on the difference between the use and abuse of stereotypes. The fact that most stereotypes are largely accurate could be misconstrued as an excuse to treat individuals in sexist, racist and bigoted ways.
I feel there has been a trend recently where Jordan is speaking 80% of the time, while the guest struggles to get a word in - this is especially noticeable in this episode. This might sound harsh, but i find it weird that as a clinical psychologist, Jordan does not pick up on the fact that his guests seem frustrated by all his interruptions. Anyways, love the interesting guests lately, and i would love for it to be more focus on non culture-war related topics, as criticising woke on youtube is like beating a dead horse by now :)
I feel like this is more true of other episodes other than this one. There is a lot of back and forth, but not as much Peterson explaining as some other episodes.
A Cultural Inclusivity Assessment’ is used to evaluate how well an organization, institution, or individual is fostering an inclusive environment that respects and values diverse cultural backgrounds. The assessment typically involves: 1. ‘Surveys and Questionnaires’: These are used to gather feedback from employees, students, or participants about their experiences and perceptions of inclusivity within the organization. 2. ‘Focus Groups and Interviews’: These provide qualitative insights into the cultural climate and help identify areas for improvement. 3. ‘Policy and Practice Reviews’: Evaluating existing policies, practices, and curricula to ensure they promote cultural inclusivity. 4. ‘Observations’: Assessing the physical environment and interactions to see if they reflect inclusivity. 5. ‘Data Analysis’: Looking at demographic data and other relevant metrics to understand the diversity within the organization. The goal is to identify strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring that everyone feels respected, valued, and included.
I have just finished the Daily Wire section and although most of the conversation was over my head, because psychology isn’t my field of study, I enjoyed keenly watching the two men conversationally dancing with each other, excitedly bursting in on each other, talking over each other in eagerness to communicate. I found that endearing and warm. Mostly I just love seeing Dr. Peterson enjoy himself like that. And I hope he can feel better from that awful cold and congestion he’s got going on.

When I was a PhD student, I took a class in social psychology taught by one of Lee Jussim's collaborators. The idea of stereotype accuracy was one of my biggest takeaways from that class. I still remember my cohort really struggling with the idea that a stereotype could be accurate. Yet, it is true we all use fairly accurate stereotypes to navigate our world every day. That is not to say that problems like prejudice and racism can't arise when stereotypes are inaccurate though

At 1:36:00, you guys were talking about apologizing, and determining if you're actually wrong by running something by another person. I have a really interesting example of this. About 6 months ago (during pride month) my wife received a pride-related gift for her birthday (also in June). It wasn't necessarily something she asked for, but she liked it. I'm not a fan of the whole pride movement, for religious reasons, so I voiced my disapproval to the gift giver (who happens to be a family member). I asked for these kinds of gifts not to be given, because of the nature of the disagreement between us on this issue, and because we have kids. I asked one of my brothers and my sisters husband if I was crazy for being upset about this, and their responses brought great comfort to me in this. Because, at a certain point I was starting to wonder "did I go too far?" I'll admit, some of my method may not have helped my case, but I was seriously disturbed by the gift, and the sheer audacity of it. My wife isn't even gay! And wearing a pride thing is mere virtue signaling. I think my wife is still mad about it. But, she doesn't wear the pride thing, so I think I won... But I also lost. Our relationship has been suffering even moreso since then. I keep hanging onto our relationship. I don't even know if our marriage will survive. This whole situation was a small microcosm of a larger issue in our relationship: significant disagreement in some fundamental issues that affect how we raise our kids. And I am the one who has changed their mind in this relationship. I could go on. If you're the praying type, pray for our marriage. I don't want to throw it away.

We need professionals with non-bias setting their sights on regulatory bodies. The mental health profession in the US is under siege by biased advocacy driven professionals and corporations. If you need a therapist or psychiatrist, don’t go with anyone who has an LCSW noted next to their name as their whole educational plan is government policy based and severely lacking in actual counseling skill education. Don’t go with these big name companies like “Butter Help” (not actual name, intended) as they are hiring professionals who aren’t making it in the wild and paying McDonalds wages. You will not get better help there.
Jordan. I didn't know what was happening when I was pushed out of my wife's family. She isn't political but her family is. I don't think she knows what's happening. Her family is liberal but not in the traditional way. They're very strict educated types almost mean people if you don't agree. I just can't be around them. My Ex doesn't understand it. This is the first time I'm learning of this. They all went to eastern u.s. schools.

My question is: is online extreme activism (to put it mildly) the same as classic left wing or right wing extremism? Because when we think about the dark tetrad among woke crowd we analyze it in the current times, now. But we also have a lot of data and sources about activists from previous generations. I think for instance of various militias, paramilitary, mercanaries, partisans, using criminals in the special ops, and also, last but not least, about people in such a bad situation that they have nothing to loose. I guess the internet and social media changed so much that psychological tools have difficulty to keep up.
The difference is that in previous generations you had to have skin in the game. You had to risk often your own life and definetly your freedom. Nowadays you can have all the self-aggrandising moral superiority with absolutely no risk. You get the feeling of being a revolutionary and some kind of freedom fighter just by dying your hair or claiming non-binary gender status and participating in cancel culture. And I feel that’s why it’s so prevalent.
Dr. Peterson - you are wonderful, a marvel. However, IMO you make many of your videos difficult to watch and follow because of too many interjections, diversions and very detailed digressions. I watch at 1.5X speed and your speech comes across as highly pressured. I am also amazed that you can keep track of the main thread at issue. This is hard for me to follow.

I really hope you don't renew a contract with the daily wire... this whole "pay for the rest of the podcast" system is broken in today's age of endless content. I have most of your books and will continue to support you, but just some food for thought. Also, as a Christian, I've had an inherent pro Israel stance. However, in the same vein of information becoming harder to hide, I'm finding Isreal to be operating more like the democrats in the U.S.. I'm against war and Iraels leader appears to be just as big of a dirty war monger as our worst in the U.S. They had the right to respond to the attack but I think there's some history to be examined and some critical thinking to be assessed based on this continued inhumane (and likely criminal as far as I can tell) approach moving forward. Seems like there may be a conflict of Shapiro interest to you being able to explore what's going on objectively. Much love Dr. JP
I do slightly agree. However if he's going to leave the Daily wire which I'm totally fine with he needs another place to put his content where he's not going to get censored. It's not to terrible on YT and I did get a Daily wire subscription just for JBP. But I'd be sad if he could only use a platform that limits him. So I do agree but I think we all need like a better version of UA-cam or something idk. And God bless you brother in christ!

You think that Christians alienate people cause they care? You need some serious help. Lable it cringe or whatever you want but at the end of the day it's you that's spending ETERNITY in hell.... Oh and just to drive this home even more so. Jordan peterson is more likely to say he believes in God than not. As a matter of fact he's just about there. So maybe don't talk down towards the group you long to be with.
With so very very much love
Your faithful Ruth Anne
Beautifully well said. I've been enjoying them as well and about to begin a sacred heart Novena. Have a peacefilled remaining Advent in this period of mystery and anticipation as we wait for our Lord.
Who's Lee Jussim and why have I never heard of him before?!? This podcast is awesome! When professors become content creators the value of entertainment, which then becomes semi-educational, absolutely skyrockets!❤
Truth is real and prevails over time, but can be shy of a generation that doesn’t value it
How very insightful and expressed so perfectly. Are they your words or is it a quote?
@@mvies77 my words, thank you!
Jordan Peterson, this American welcomes you home. Much love BROTHER, bless you, thank you for all you do. Thank you both for this podcast !!!
Please be careful wit Chat GPT.
Sometimes the information you get from Chat GPT is pure gold, sometimes its pure hallucination, and sometimes it is purposefully misleading. It is often difficult to tell the difference and crucial to know the truth.
That not the only thing, but you can make it say stuff if you word it correctly or use previous prompt to over shadow future prompts, so you can kind program it yourself. If you dont see full context, it's questionable
Peterson has his finger on the pulse of our social reality, once again.
Please please please have Lee Jussim on again at a later date!
His work is fascinating and you two are really hitting it off.
Perhaps Peterson could figure out why a bowl of petunias would think "not again." love the reference!
This video needs to be followed with a video on the difference between the use and abuse of stereotypes. The fact that most stereotypes are largely accurate could be misconstrued as an excuse to treat individuals in sexist, racist and bigoted ways.
It was. That’s the Daily Wire section.
The assessment typically involves:
Good evening,
I am still curious on his licence case. WHY is this even possible?!
Jordan B Peterson is a great example of the Teacher , who can lead with ideas, who can heal with knowledge and help to deal with yourself.
Thank you.
The radical left cancels those who speak out against it. Simple as that.
Love this discussion.. I love the ornament or button that Jordan is wearing - I need to get one of those!

"THE science" now refers to creating and accepting research only supporting a predetermined conclusion (the one placing the most money in investors bank accounts) with any and all research refuting such findings immediately losing all funding and accreditation.
I'd say more than just the conclusions that line bank accounts, it's only conclusions that match the "new religion" of wokeness.

JBP has wonderfully gone full MAGA! I love it! He is so welcome in this country. Perhaps after October 2025, sanity will return to Canada, but I don't want him to go back! He's ours now! I hope that Trump gets his input and that JBP joins the Trump administration in some capacity, if only in an advisory position!
@@sigmatomcat5389 I support JBP staying in the USA after our people have attempted to destroy his career 😩 (and failed miserably 😆). I can still watch him here 😄. And also hoping by some miracle we get an early election by summer instead of october 🙏🤞
I hope this conversation gets more traction cuz I think it's one of Peterson's best of '24
Shedding light on the great scams of this century, thank you Jordan.
❤❤Wow! Two intellectual giants. I stand very educated on a topic I never really thought of on a very deep level. Thank you both very much, I appreciate all of the insights, knowledge, personal experiences and open discussion of this topic (but numerous topics).
Because, at a certain point I was starting to wonder "did I go too far?"
I'll admit, some of my method may not have helped my case, but I was seriously disturbed by the gift, and the sheer audacity of it.
Great pod loved it
WNBA star Catlin Clark should not be alone on the Cover of Time Magazine because it hurts the other players feelings. The Woke Psychology has permeated the culture.

36:24 “YOU ARE IN THE-DELUSION THAT DEMENTED MINORITY IS HARMLESS” YES VERY BIG MISTAKE.
I have the best definition for perception.
Perception is an illegitimate excuse for those without facts. Very often perception doesn't align with reality.
Thank you Dr. Jussim for having Dr. Peterson on your podcast and letting him speak whole the time.😂😂😂
The only lives that truly matter are those who respect the lives of others.
Very interesting conversation, thanks.
You don't have to defend yourself against someone who is attacking you with lies - you have to attack their lies!
Thanks God for Jordan Peterson!
They all went to eastern u.s. schools.
Woke Psychologist. That's an oxymoron if ever there was one. THERE. ARE. FOUR. LIGHTS! (Captain Picard, Chain of Command)
I often think of that episode when thinking of the globalist agenda.
Why is it an oxymoron?

Hm, curiouser and curiouser. Could we describe chat GT as a well meaning intervention? I mean there is an awful lot of blind faith put into it. Then again, most followers of the religions the civilisation we know grew upon, lived no different. Keep your eyes open people, please.

Just by reading the title, I knew that I would laugh hard AF 😂😂

It is Is poignant that narcissist will adopt whatever ideal or movement brings them significant power and authority over people and resources, independent of their true beliefs.
Effectively they don't have true beliefs as they are externalised beings there is no ego after all.
They’re interested in the whips, not the words. No matter the garb they hide behind.
I get it now. JBP has so few people to talk to. So when he does he explodes with the ideas rumbling around constantly in his head.
We all do that when we find someone on the same wavelength as ourselves. Who are interested in what we ourselves are. Strangers become friends easier when they share the same interests, even if in other ways they’re wildly different. Crosses cultural barriers.
Football fans, tv show fans, music fans, religious people within their group.
Speaking of tyranny, there are some very interesting rumors coming out of Canada today. I know what news I’m hoping to hear. Perhaps you all won’t have to wait for October of 2025, after all. I only wish Rex Murphy was still alive to talk it all over with Dr. Peterson.
JP really enjoyed this one! Hahaha

I have a question. Given the propensity of an individual and/or group to not understand the limits of their own knowledge base, how does one define a non partition scale of authoritarianism without convolution? Thank you for your thoughts.

I know this has nothing to do with this podcast but you should have Tim Mackie from the Bible project on. You both have similar ideas about the Bible and think about it in a more metaphorical and artistic way.
You guys should consider the likelihood of believing untrue statements that are repeated in the media in your studies as a variable
woke and psychology is a destructive mix
Has anybody did any kind of analysis determining authoritarian tendencies from either denial of God existing or believing but rejecting God?
I just love your sense of humour Dr. Peterson. That prominent mane of Trump's.

Left-Right Authoritarian Duality does not exist, it's an illusion. It can't be measured, much like the Heisenberg Principal; You can't precisely know both the exact position and momentum of a particle at the same time. The behavior characteristics you are measuring are in constant movement between one partisan position to the other. Is Tulsi Left-Woke or Right-Woke?
