When I was growing up in the 1960's & '70's in Clayton County, GA, the saying was "Yo mama wears combat boots" & no one ever got tore out of their frame with that one. About a couple of years ago, I had a niece who did something that I could never, ever approve of. I still have problems with it, but thru prayer to our Heavenly Father, I am beginning to calm down. I mean, I have done a few things my family would have fits over if they only knew. It's like that Bible verse that goes something like this; "you can't see the splinter in my eye for the log that is in your own eye". May God Bless You, my brother.

I fought with that why me, as my parents put me down all my life, my brother who is 18 months older than me, cannot get things wrong, I have not spoken to my parents since I was 28 I am 61, my mother still puts me down by telling people I did this or I did that, most of it is rubbish, I had counselling, from our lady vicar because I was so down, she told me to let go, of it forgive them, but I don't have to have them in my life, they don't go to church, but I have found much love and excitement, through church and Jesus, it gave me strength, after being told I was thick by my parents, I went back to school got my 2 certificates in English, done courses in church, even had poems published in church magazine, so what would you say about that muma no cuddles, every time I was interested as a child, you can't do that you are to thick, I actually grew up thinking I was worth nothing
