i would have made a spoon or one of those honey comb things to go with it. this is the 2nd video of yours i've watched so far. and I am not into wood working but I find your videos fascinating . you're very talented.
@@usernam3t4ken2 it was a lovely pot, I'm not sure about all of the stick at the top but I love watching Nick's videos, especially when he doesn't know what he's making!! x
Nick, it amazes me how many makers on other videos talk about MAKERS CENTRAL and wanting to go. The way you gets the kids involved and the way you interact with you kids..you sir are a good Man, Father and Dad. Great video brother..thank you.
"I don't know what I'm doing" and "I don't have any clue what I'm going to make with this" ... two phrases that are pretty much guaranteed to have something gorgeous come out at the end. Never stop being you
I love your funkiness 😁 I agree the purple top was too much. The stick makes this pot totally your design. I do really like the shape of the pot. Great job Nick, thanks for sharing.
The resin finial looked good but maybe it's better for another project. I echo what others said about the driftwood making it look like a cartoon beehive, and it's very cute.
I do enjoy our waffling. So much in fact I thing you should put a waffle under resin and turn it into something. Keep up the good shows I love your creations and your attitude! Your a good man :)
Love, love, love the wood and the shape. Good call on the purple finial, not a match for this project. I would have trimmed the stick. Thanks for sharing.
I can’t even handle the “chunk” and “happy days” bits you threw in, I cracked up laughing! I really enjoy watching you create and the things you come up with. I love that you don’t have a plan and it just turns out how it is going to turn out! Great work Nick! Love from WA state🌲🇺🇸
Have you ever thought about making a yarn bowl? They’re used by knitters and crocheters to keep their balls of yarn clean, or from skittering hither thither and yon, or to keep the cat/dog/mongoose from frolicking it into a useless wad.
That but with the Yorkshire Grit never gets old. I absolutely love it! Great job on this new pot Nick! Love the driftwood finial, but would have made it a bit shorter. Still love it as is though. Love the funky shape too!
Had a terrible day today and seeing this notification has made my Friday night! I can just chill out, enjoy my Jack Daniels and watch some funky woodturning! Thanks Nick!!!
I missed the waffling on at the beginning of the video! Don’t stop being the cool you that you are! Also, for me, I would only have used 5 to 6 cm of the driftwood. My taste only. I know nothing about woodworking. Thanks so much, Mr. Zammeti! -Ellen
I have always loved wood turning since I was like in grade 8. I have an old lathe from my great grandfather and it makes everything a whole new experience. Or maybe an old one. Love watching your stuff Keep up the good work
I was screaming "NOOOOO!" at the purple resin. That branch, though, inspired. It fits. Puts me in mind of a natural beehive hanging from a tree. PS, glad you changed the title 😂
Why so serious?🤔 I guess the man came to WORK today! No time for chitchat he's straight to it! 😕Missed the usual beginning banter & not enough silliness 🙃 you're usually like a comedian with a knack for making creative cool stuff!😉 that's what makes you & your videos stand out from the rest! Beautiful work as usual 😘
Nick that's beautiful really like Yew but have not had the pleasure of turning any yet and I love the string/rope never would have thought of that. Ps the drift wood was the better choice more organic love it 👍
Your videos upload here in America at about 4 AM. Just in time for an insomniac like myself to contentedly smile, sigh and watch your silliness as you go about creating another thing of beauty. Thanks for letting me sit on your shoulder (*I'm tiny*) and watch. The art you create runs the funky to the inspiring and breathtaking. Love & Prayers to you and yours.
Lolol, I love that purple finial but the stick does look better. More rustic looking. Very cute. Another original Nick Zametti creation! 👏🏼🤘🏻👏🏼🤘🏻👏🏼🤘🏻👏🏼
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! You should so have added the purple resin bit. But in saying that the driftwood makes it trippy looking. Definitely one of my fave pieces.
I love the drift wood. The purple piece is beautiful as well, It just wasn't right for this project. I love all of your work and please keep doing what you're doing!
I miss the waffle too Nick...love your channel and Charlie's too ❤ please don't stop talking to us, I come to hear you talk and goof around as much as for your amazing craftsmanship. You make me smile...and that's not easy to do these days....so thanks for that🤗 I really like this pot. I liked the purple, but the driftwood is great too. You are the best!!! My favorite UA-camr😄
I think the stick probably coulda been trimmed shorter, seems like it would be a bit of a nuisance at that length, catching on things that happen to move anywhere near it and knocking stuff over.
I'm glad you changed your mind about the lid! It's a little bit long for my taste, but you decide. The purple one would look good on something black and/or shiny I think. Have a nice week! 👋🏻
I liked the purple bit but NOT on that pot!! So glad you took it off. That rope/string was an interesting touch. I think with the driftwood it wood have been better to use the "V" part. Either way its better than than the purple bit. Loved the wood, its gorgeous and the shape of the pot was funky.
I love the bowl! I like how you carved a bit out for the twine to sit in, simple but genius and will be using myself now. LOVE the purple piece, but not for this piece. The drift wood looks much better for sure. I would maybe cut it on the diangle after the second hump (so like about half way to) but regardless, it still looks awesome. 🙋👍😎💖☮
Your imagination is incredible! I liked the purple, although the end result is different and funky! Looks great! Once again amazong!! Love that wood for the pot!!
I agree with others that the twig should’ve been a bit shorter but it’s definitely better than the purple resin. I LOVE the pot! I really like how chubby it is, and that wood is amazing with all the different colors. Also, looking forward to see where you use that purple resin. It’s VERY funky, so great!
I love it! Reminds me of something my grandma would pick up and hit us grandkids with when we were being brats 😂 I love the textures and grain of wood. My favorite videos of yours are the ones without any prior planning because it really shows how creative you are 👏
I'll admit haven't watched the whole video but I know I'll like it, because it's from Nick 🤗😉.one of the first people I subscribed to.❤️🤗💕💖. ... I did like it👍
ok the wood is gorgeous and the stick on the lid is much better than the purple thing that looks like a Christmas ornament. but the string in the middle of the pot just doesn't look right to me. but none the less nice work keep it up
The purple finial looked like you were trying to hard to make it funky. The twig went more with the natural tone of the pot, but still added that something funky that makes it totally you.
Hi from Australia Nick... The bark and grain of the timber look like a gum (eucalyptus) of some sort. Love the channel, you do great lathe work. Keep it up. And Charlie too.
The twig is, as you say, funky. The resin looked more like a unicorn’s horn and didn’t really go at all! I actually was thinking a small dark (walnut or ebony)knobby finial would look nice.
I love the Funky Honey Pot! I think the stick makes it look like you snapped a honey cashe out of Poohs honey tree! Love the wood... awesome choice! Again, beautiful job!
I love the yew wood color variations!! BEAUTIFUL!!
i would have made a spoon or one of those honey comb things to go with it. this is the 2nd video of yours i've watched so far. and I am not into wood working but I find your videos fascinating . you're very talented.
Just thought the same, wooden spoon to eat the honey :)
No waffling at the beginning of the video??................from one waffler to another, please don't stop, it's what makes You, You xx
I agree with you, feels like something was missing.. still worth a 👍 though
@@usernam3t4ken2 it was a lovely pot, I'm not sure about all of the stick at the top but I love watching Nick's videos, especially when he doesn't know what he's making!! x
I'd say go with a modicum of waffling. I like to see him at the start, but I tend to skip when he goes too long
@@Museofmemory hahahahahaha I don't, I like listening to him as he has a lovely voice, I quite fancy Nick to be honest xx
I was going to say the same thing. It just feels weird with no waffle!
The pot reminds me of a cartoon bee hive hanging from a twig. I love it!!

Once again a super whimsical and stunning piece of work Nick!! I loved this video a lot, really chill and interesting.
The resin finial looked good but maybe it's better for another project. I echo what others said about the driftwood making it look like a cartoon beehive, and it's very cute.
Stunningly beautiful! You do awesome work!
Love the patterns in that wood and good choice with the lid!
LOVE this pot!!!! Definitely needed the more natural top piece!!!! Thank you for your work!!!!

Love, love, love the wood and the shape. Good call on the purple finial, not a match for this project. I would have trimmed the stick. Thanks for sharing.
You never cease to amaze Nick, great looking pot and glad you used the twig , sets it off nicely.
It almost looks like Winnie the pooh's honey pot lol it's beautiful art
GMTA!
almost, if upside down. now he's gotta fill it with $50 worth of honey or it's just a regular non-honey pot.

It is so therapeutic to watch you turn wood into beautiful things!🤗
Great piece of wood and good work! Well done
Have you ever thought about making a yarn bowl? They’re used by knitters and crocheters to keep their balls of yarn clean, or from skittering hither thither and yon, or to keep the cat/dog/mongoose from frolicking it into a useless wad.
I was thinking about the same thing. :) With maybe a yarn and resin insert.
Yarn in resin would be perfect for a yarn bowl!! Super funky, please do it Nick!!
I love my yarn bowl and would love to see a funky one made by Nick's creative mind. :)
Dooo iittttttt
I need a yarn bowl in my life!
Love this video and the pot. The natural driftwood looks brilliant. Love it.
Beautiful project! what i like most is the contrast between the pot and the natural stick on the top.

Gorgeous! Yew always looks so pretty and I agree that the driftwood was the better choice :) Keep on keeping on Nick!
Oh my gosh, that's gorgeous! And good call with the twig! Brilliant!
That's freaking beautiful. I always love your music, but today's groovy grind mix was perfect for my pain filled pain pill blustery day ♥
Nice work! Love the funkiness of the twig over the resin ......
Must admit- I was super glad when it was traded out for the twig!

This is a pretty project. I like the driftwood addition. I love the colors and patterns in the wood and how they play off the shape of the honey pot.
Thank you so much for not RUINING that pot with that purple phallic looking piece on top.
The finished piece is beautiful
The resin thing was beautiful, but the driftwood is more funky and made the pot really special,,, ❤️❤️❤️

Oh yes Nick the resin finial is awesome and stunning. The wood grain is breathtakingly beautiful. I love it.

Although you come up with many unusual, funky designs, you are a masterful wood turner.
I do love this, but for some reason it reminds me of a toilet brush holder..... :P I think the Hemp string would of looked better darker in colour.
I got a chuckle from the "toilet brush holder"! Thanks!
Quality production as usual
Love it!! You uploaded right before I went to bed and I knew I had to stay up and watch it! Best way to end a day! :)
Only from the mind of Nick! This shows that no piece of wood gets thrown away. SAFE TURNING, John
