    i would have made a spoon or one of those honey comb things to go with it. this is the 2nd video of yours i've watched so far. and I am not into wood working but I find your videos fascinating . you're very talented.

      I'd say go with a modicum of waffling. I like to see him at the start, but I tend to skip when he goes too long

    Nick, it amazes me how many makers on other videos talk about MAKERS CENTRAL and wanting to go. The way you gets the kids involved and the way you interact with you kids..you sir are a good Man, Father and Dad. Great video brother..thank you.

    The resin finial looked good but maybe it's better for another project. I echo what others said about the driftwood making it look like a cartoon beehive, and it's very cute.

    Have you ever thought about making a yarn bowl? They’re used by knitters and crocheters to keep their balls of yarn clean, or from skittering hither thither and yon, or to keep the cat/dog/mongoose from frolicking it into a useless wad.

    Great job on this new pot Nick! Love the driftwood finial, but would have made it a bit shorter. Still love it as is though. Love the funky shape too!

    I missed the waffling on at the beginning of the video! Don’t stop being the cool you that you are! Also, for me, I would only have used 5 to 6 cm of the driftwood. My taste only. I know nothing about woodworking.

    I have always loved wood turning since I was like in grade 8. I have an old lathe from my great grandfather and it makes everything a whole new experience. Or maybe an old one.

    Nick that's beautiful really like Yew but have not had the pleasure of turning any yet and I love the string/rope never would have thought of that. Ps the drift wood was the better choice more organic love it 👍

    This is a pretty project. I like the driftwood addition. I love the colors and patterns in the wood and how they play off the shape of the honey pot.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! You should so have added the purple resin bit. But in saying that the driftwood makes it trippy looking. Definitely one of my fave pieces.

    I think the stick probably coulda been trimmed shorter, seems like it would be a bit of a nuisance at that length, catching on things that happen to move anywhere near it and knocking stuff over.

    I do love this, but for some reason it reminds me of a toilet brush holder..... :P I think the Hemp string would of looked better darker in colour.

    I liked the purple bit but NOT on that pot!! So glad you took it off. That rope/string was an interesting touch. I think with the driftwood it wood have been better to use the "V" part. Either way its better than than the purple bit. Loved the wood, its gorgeous and the shape of the pot was funky.

    I love the bowl! I like how you carved a bit out for the twine to sit in, simple but genius and will be using myself now. LOVE the purple piece, but not for this piece. The drift wood looks much better for sure. I would maybe cut it on the diangle after the second hump (so like about half way to) but regardless, it still looks awesome. 🙋👍😎💖☮

    I agree with others that the twig should’ve been a bit shorter but it’s definitely better than the purple resin. I LOVE the pot! I really like how chubby it is, and that wood is amazing with all the different colors.
    Also, looking forward to see where you use that purple resin. It’s VERY funky, so great!

    ok the wood is gorgeous and the stick on the lid is much better than the purple thing that looks like a Christmas ornament. but the string in the middle of the pot just doesn't look right to me. but none the less nice work keep it up

    The purple finial looked like you were trying to hard to make it funky. The twig went more with the natural tone of the pot, but still added that something funky that makes it totally you.

    The bark and grain of the timber look like a gum (eucalyptus) of some sort.

    The twig is, as you say, funky. The resin looked more like a unicorn’s horn and didn’t really go at all!
    I actually was thinking a small dark (walnut or ebony)knobby finial would look nice.
