In almost every way the average Queenslander's way of life 100 years ago is unrecognisable from the way we know it today. Even though the 'then' of living is different, the 'now' of living remains constant. Yet we still need someone to love and the sun rises every morning and both country and city lives are ruled by the weather - droughts, floods, fires and cyclones. We are different to ordinary men and women who read the newspaper then, but we are the same as those who went before us, living in the present moment and waking up in a State that covers over 1.7 million square km beneath the same wide sky. Oh what a wonderful world 🇦🇺
