It's also kind of clever that they're starting to use Hololive EN (Rikka - Calliope) as a bridge because EN audience would not only not mind Holostars, they would be glad for more content.
@@kylewood4488-b9r Yeah, I think this is what it is. Both Pekora and Moona have been working pretty hard to be able to communicate with each other. Pekora's English (as well as SEVERAL other JP member's English) has gotten noticeably better in past year, and I imagine Moona's Japanese is the same.

Much like the early days of hololive though, they are the guinea pigs so to speak. They have to figure out what works best for a "male vtube idol" and run with it. Not only that, but their target audience from what I able to tell from some of their stories is women around the 20-30ish year range. Though youtube has certainly made strides in balancing out its users, about 65% are still male. I'm also pretty sure that the number skews further when just considering gaming content, so its an uphill battle.

Many housewives watching him with their husbands too, from what I see some peeps in live chat have said. I have no doubt that the initial intended demographic was probably women, but at the end of the day, most of the boys' personality attracts a lot of men their age, kinda like hanging out with your bros kind of vibe.
I hope hololiveJP members have a more often collabs with Holostar. 2 hololiveJP members that done a LOT of holostars collab are FBK and Matsuri. I see HoloID have no boundaries with Holostar as Ollie made a sudden guerrilla stream with astel. Can't pressure them since JP audiences still have an Idol Culture for the talents.
