Hi Sonique, Happy Monday! What a great compilation. Watching these ads at the time alway made me think of one thing! Who in their right mind would eat a flake that way? All of those lovely bits of chocolate breaking off and dropping everywhere! Cadbury. Birmingham's gift to the world! Have a great week Sonique. I wont, as on Thursday it is 5 years since I lost my dear wife. xx
Ohh Captain 💔my heart goes out to you ...I just know how it will be on your mind each day more and more building up to Thursday ...and 5 years is nothing .... July just gone was 5 years since I losr my mum.... and i lost someone else extremley special 3 years ago in September..and we never get used to them not being around us anymore or us hearng thair voice etc..we just are thrown in the deep end and have to try and adapt the best way we can emotionally YOur wife will be around you even more than usual on Thursday for obvious reasons and I will be thinking of you both
Holy moly, that first advert was a bit spicy. I can just imagine the look on mary Whitehouse's face when she first seen this advert, lol. I bet she was in shock for day's. It still makes me angry how chocolate bars are less than half the size they used to be. A curly wurly is only a fraction of the size.
🤣🤣🤣I know! I think that one and the last one were the naughty ones 👌I remember the mars bars being much bigger unless it was my imagination..and yes, curly wurlys were much longer then! Happy Monday Retro Man 🤗😁
@@RetroReminiscing the king size mars used to be massive, but now it's split into two little parts. I remember literally being full after eating a king size in the 80s & 90s. I actually don't remember that last advert. I've never seen the morning star being used to sell chocolate before.😂
😆@@TheRetroManRandySavage 👌👌⭐📰🤣 and yeah.... king size mars bars ! They were actually a thing wernt they 😃I rememeber thinking they were HUGE and Id take on a full one but feel sickly after it 😄👌🍫🤗
@@RetroReminiscing Apparently, the mars bar was 65g in the 90s and is now 51g, so it's lost a quarter of it's size. They're saying the mars duo of today is the same size as an 80s king size, but I'm not having that, Son. I think they're lying to us.😂
Hi Sonique ⭐ hope that you're keeping well, watching those adverts has made me feel hungry! 😊 I remember the bathtub Flake adverts the most, I don't remember the very last one. Have a great evening 💫🌟😎
Thank you Juanman, htink the last one isnt really recognized by many it seems..including myself hahahaha Hope your keeping well too and having a nice peacefull Monday night 😁🤗😁
Now that's what I call VERY tasty reminiscing, Sonique. Flakes were so special and if I had one in an ice cream, I would save it to the end! I have been trying to answer your question, but can't think of one better at the moment because I remember the chocolatey fibres, that I can almost taste them! YUMMMMM!
Morning Diane, thats what we call saving the best till last 👌😄👌Hope everything is going well with you and your having a nice morning so far Thank you very much for visiting for this retro flake upload 💐🍫🤗
Morning Sonique ☺️. Don't you just love a flake made with the crumbliest flakiest chocolate ha ha ha 😂 I love a flake and in a ice cream cornet - 99 😂. Have a great new week ahead Sonique ☺️🤗
Hello and a very good morning Michael Ive not had an ice cream with a flake in since I was about 10 i think and had forgot they used these to put n them at the ice cream van 😃🙃🍦 I loved the raspberry syrup/sace the ice crea an would put on the 99 (or any ice cream) and the smell of it Hope today is a good one for the start of this new week, take care and thank you 🤗😁
@@RetroReminiscing To be honest I haven't been to the ice cream van since I was just a young kid. I do like a flake but haven't had one of those for years either, I think I will treat myself today and buy one ... if the shops still sell them 😁 you've got me craving a chocolate flake now Sonique 🤣😂. Catch you again later, have a great and happy Monday ☺️🤗

Good morning Sonique.👋😘🫶 Thanks for this Retro Memory.🍫😋 Those Flake Ads were sultry weren't they.?😂🍫 Haha.😅 Fab you managed to show the banned 🚫 one too 🤣 Haha.I grew up with this one.👉 00:47 🍫😋 The one after it,just as if she doesn't get that chocolate 🍫 all over her.😂😅 Haha.Even in the twist wrapper, the Flake is still...... the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate....🍫😭🤣😂 Have a beautiful day,& take care.❤️💌😘💕😻🎶🎤
Hiya Shron, oh I know ha ah the producers knew what they were doing didnt they .... Yes very crumbly and as nice as the chocolate is, I always avoided buying a flake because it would drive me mad trying to bite it but looseing a load of it all over the place and on the floor because it was TOO crumbly ... They are a definite no for me .... I prefer the solid blocks of it 😆👌🍫🍫🍫Have a beautifull day Sharon and take care Hope you have a happy lucky week 🍀🥰😺✖

Thanks Fae, youve just reminded me actually of a cadburys caramel one that was out at easter with a bunny on it ..Ill have to google it now its stuck in my head hahaha Thanks very much and hope your felling well and alls going well this week so far x🍫🤗💐
@@RetroReminiscing I know the one you mean! Loved the bunny designs they used to do on the eggs or Easter chicks . Hope you found it lol. All is ok thank you I hope you're doing well and are having a productive and good week 🤗💖💐

Hello Andy and Jim little Jim bob ha ha (he sounds like hes part of the waltons ha ha ) Yes the ice cream man and the 99's with the flake init and raspberry sauce/syrup 😁..and the cider lollies and funny feet ice creams..rocket lollies...screw balls...youve got me on a roll now ha ha Thanks Andy and hope your well and enjoying whatever your doing with your evening 🤗X🐶🌭
Good afternoon Sonique ....... That was brilliant! For me, the third one with the artist in the poppy field was the most recognizable..... (can it really have been soooo long ago?) Also reminded me of the time I was working for an advertising agency and submitted an idea to Cadbury for a new Flake advert with the punchline "Is that a Flake in his pocket or is he just pleased to see you?"..... It was pointed out to me that a flake lacks the structural integrity to withstand the rigors and warm body temperature within a trouser pocket🥵.... Who knew🤔 Happy Monday💃
Really, ha ha good for you ! I love the taste but hate how they crumble everywhere other than my nmouth ha ha Have a great weekend and hope things are going o with you 🤗😁🐦
