How to: Perform an Arc Calibration

Performing an arc calibration is a critically important step of any fusion splicing, especially when splicing in a new environment. Temperature, elevation, and humidity all account for splicing accuracy. In this video, we demonstrate performing an arc calibration on the OFS-945S Fusion Splicer, but the procedure is generally the same on most fusion splicers.
