Absolutely very helpful. My first time and I don't even learn how to splice optic cable but teaching is detailing all steps to splice and I am very happy on that. Please keep helping people with your best teaching. Thank you.
Fusion splicer from GAOTEK offers advanced technology that makes optical fiber splicing faster and more efficient. With a portable and easy-to-use design, this tool allows users to connect with very precise results and minimal signal loss. Features such as automatic detection of fiber types and the ability to work in various field conditions make it an ideal choice for technicians who are often outdoors.
First off, when dealing with any fiber you want to wear gloves because if that glass get in your skin it’s almost impossible to get out. Secondly you must make sure to zero or calibrate your parameters on your fusion splicer then everything else is spot on!!!
What brand SC and LC fusion splice-on connectors do you recommend using with the Ai-9 splicer from the video? the AFL and Corning ones don't fit the splicer magnetic holders. Thank you!
Unless that fusing machine can be adapted to ribbon splicing, then it's only good for single-fiber splicing. Plus, there are cleavers on the market with their own 'trash can' on the right side of the cleaver. Another plus, using alcohol wipes instead of a dispensing jar means a bottle of alcohol doesn't need to be carried. As to using a power meter to test completed splices, it may not be company policy for that to be done right after a splice is made. And, if you have 12 or more fibers to splice, you may not be given time to test each splice. Otherwise, this is a very informative video for those new to fiber splicing. Just don't forget to put the splice protector on before making the splice or you will feel rather silly when you realize you have to break the splice and do it again.
One of these Tmobile guy when slicing they don’t use sleevers supplies and they don’t use alcohol so the Internet will only last like a couple of days and then I will be out of Internet and then I have to call back
99.9% Reagent grade Isopropyl Alcohol, or Anhydrous 99.9% iso alcohol. Water is the enemy of optics in general because when it evaporates, it leaves residue.
I have no idea what's happening, i saw the machine is being sold in shopee, it piqued my interest so i googled it and here i am, i have no idea why the machine is recommended to me
I get that it does the thing it says, but seriously? An arc fusion splicer? Ok tony stark, make sure your fusion splicer safely with your quantum temporal gateway replicator. This machine does boring ass shit, and should therefore have a boring ass name. This guy: oh are you hungry? Well how about some sustenance from my three dimensional thermal injection unit. Me: you mean the toaster?
Because that is what it does is create a arc to melt the glass and fuse the 2 fibers The folks overseas tend to tell it to you straight sometimes instead of using shitty names like we do

Thank you! That is the best explanation of a fusion splice I've ever seen.
Great video, thank you for all the steps and information.
Glad it was helpful!

First off, you shouldn't let your wife's boyfriend bully you so much...
@@ricksanchez538 first off, you shouldn't have a Rick Sanchez profile Pic and name. It makes you too intimidating and everyone will be afraid of you.

Excellent video. Thank you.
Thank you very much I have learnt at lot
my fussion splicer machine is not allign pls what can i do
It depends on a lot of things like the manufacturer, environment, the fiber you are using. Hard to say without being there.

very bad POV and lack of pre-splicing info. There are good parts too.

You are double-scoring the fiber during your cleaving process, big no-no.
