These three young ladies are one of the most Magnetic Rock bands I've seen in my 71 years on this earth. They have it all and i wish them all the R&R success. Their sound engineers and crew deserve an award for their support for The Warning, awsome.
What is "criminal" is Ale's bass work in "More". That is sheer nasty. And that wall of sound that hits the crowd in the chorus must have been a shock. I'm sure no one who did not know of TW expected how hard the girls hit them with these two songs.
Absolute and complete perfection. The only thing I was surprised about was they didn’t throw down 2 or 4 more songs. We get 6 takes? Here’s 6 songs. But of course they’re too nice to push the rules 😊
I read that they had six segments: short, medium and full-length versions for each of two songs, that the broadcast played the two short versions and that MTV made the two full-length versions available that we're seeing here. They required only one take ("run-through") per segment "one-and-done", whereas the Warninguista on the scene reported that one of the other "artists" fumbled through several takes and that neither managed one-and-done.
@@daveclark1366well to the other artists’s credit (I don’t even know who they are)- this side stage show was for “up and coming artists” who obviously don’t have as much experience
The Warning are only “up is coming” in regards to being shown to the masses- but they obviously have tons and tons of experience
@@lauriep2018 good point. I would add "live experience". I suspect that many "artists" are so reliant on their producers to electronically generate their songs that to play them live is quite difficult if they're not used to putting it out in front of live humans.

I’m a 67 yo Rocker and I’ve been waiting decades for a band like the Warning to come along , they are Rock Geniuses and have taken Rock to the next level of perfection !
It's like someone else said, "They definitely understood the assignment."
I think the most surprising thing about this is Pau killing it in wet socks. 🤘⚡🔥

Not surprised by their one-shottin gthe performances. Great to know silk's story and that he got featured on camera a few times. These two songs were a fantastic introduction to the MTV VMA community. I expect they found a lot of new followers.
I cannot wait until the Mexico shows. I love seeing them live. That is their superpower. See you in CDMX!

They bring their A-game every time that it really matters. And I know that they told each other " Let's just go have fun!" Shout out to Lalo for that piece of advice to Pau, she has taken that to heart as have the rest of the ladies. Awesome performance! ❤️🤟⚡⚡⚡
Lalo has been such a great addition to their team. They have a way of attracting top people who aren't prima donnas around them.

Not surprised by the one take at all.
Here is a band that, although playing on a small stage, brings their experience of Warning thousands in stadiums and festivals to bear, projecting their presence into and past the small environment, through the cameras to a worldwide audience. It boggles my mind to think of the experience already wrapped up in these young women: multiple recording sessions, albums, concerts from tiny to giant, interviews, "carpets", small and big budget video and advertising shoots, endorsements, etc. All of this is brought to bear in spectacular performances like these. And the industry is coming to realize that here is a reliable vehicle for their investment dollars.

One take is how you play live atleast how you should just like a concert. The warning are used to that

I’m not going to lie, I’m 64 years old, have seen/listened to LOTS of rock n roll music. This is BY FAR, best live performance I’ve ever seen. They have a new fan and can’t wait to listen to all their music. IVE BEEN WARNED
My new favorite rock riff is the one played after Pau's scream... And about this presentation in Mtv I have to say:
The hungriest, biggest, most powerful and ferocious beast was restrained on a short leash, muzzled and contained in the backyard…
NOW IT WAS RELEASED!!
Words are not enough to describe the emotion produced by witnessing this event that will remain one of the most important milestones in the TW timeline.
This particular scream from Pau is the best I have heard from her since the official video for this song, IMHO.

I think the other reason they didn't have to do any additional takes is that they picked smart songs for this. Both songs are catchy, both have a ton of energy, but both are also well within their comfort zones both instrumentally and vocally. It would have been tempting to try for Choke since it's their most popular song, but it's not easy to nail live and if Dany's voice had anything out of the ordinary going on, it could have been an unfortunate first impression to a bunch of new listeners. With these song choices, they could just relax and focus on putting on a great performance which really showed.
More was a no-brainer, with its more "modern" sound. I was expecting that they'd pick either Money or Choke exactly because of popularity, and they can surely nail Money in their sleep (as you note, Choke is vocally much more difficult). But I'm glad they went with Evolve. They had the courage to go with uncompromising high energy hard rock. Other than the handful of TWA, the crowd probably didn't know what just hit them, especially when Gen. Pau issued her orders and then cut loose with the Scream of Destruction.

The best recordings of the two songs, bar none. Evolve was so much better for Ale's harmonies being higher in the mix.
The mix was so good you could hear The harmonics from Ales bass. Alot of people miss those 2 pitch notes.

Thanks for introducing me to the Warning John! I haven't listened to any other band in months. I'm glad I went down The Warning rabbit hole! I hope to see them next year.

To look beautiful and confident is one thing.
To be young and this precise is another level up.
To play and sound better than the record… that’s another level that a lot of bands just can’t do consistently.
P.s. Ale’s bass harmonics always give me the chills.
They came. They rocked. They conquered.
I saw them in August, and they were fantastic. What you see here is exactly how Dany and Pau were throughout the whole show, though Ale was more reserved when I saw them than she is here. When they played "Animosity," there was a part where Dany's guitar was clean when it was supposed to be distorted, but they all smiled at each other and rolled with it.
I loved how they really drove the 'Pau-bell' in the mix on MORE! It really does stand out.😂 I think the people that were there for the other bands got a good *WARNING* as well. They were pretty hyped! I wonder how many jumped on Spotify right afterwards to see what else they could find by them?😄👍👍

National TV (although a few seconds) is something the girls have been waiting for, it makes them happy. we can see it in this two performances, the best rendition of both songs to date. We can compare evolve to the one from The Metropolitan, that one is good, but no Tv around. Here, they are like fish in the water, imagine the day they make it to the main stage...
It was their time to shine and they were like a super nova!!

Love Pau's movements in both songs. Dany's a beast on stage but a Angel off. Ale is just Ale doing her awesome base. I thought it was the best Scream of Destruction
They have said they were more nervous about appearing on the red (pink) carpet, than they were about performing the songs, which was like another day in the office for them. By the way, as great as their outfits were for their performance, their outfits for the actual show were stunning (and got them even more attention). 😎👍

I find it very amusing when reactors comment on the energy level of ‘More’ not knowing that ‘Evolve’ is on another level and makes ‘More’ sound like a lullaby in comparison.

For all their detachment from proper music MTV haven't forgotten how to record audio & edit video of a live performance. Easily the best recording of More & Evolve hitherto. The closeups mixed with judicious long shots absolutely nailed it visually. And the audio was exceptional with right emphasis of bass from Ale & Pau that is typically The Warning. Shows how good was Teatro in terms of audio although the video was a bit of a let down.
They got so many good songs that you don't know which one to pic from.
