I'm impressed. I'm a product of the 70's - I was a teenager throughout most of this decade. Perhaps I'am naive but I thought the music of the Heavy Metal Kids had been lost forever - I have the vinyl LP. I'm ecstatic that I was able to find some of their music. I love this band.
This entire album is fantastic! I wonder why it is so forgotten. Maybe because everyone assumes it's heavy metal and then either avoids it (if they don't like metal) or is disappointed (if they were hoping for metal).
Remember this song off alan freeman compilation LP' by invitation only' ,Holton was a canny actor and he was hounded by the press just before his untimely death .RIP
Sadly, never saw them live! Wish I had! First heard this track on a double sampler album on Atlantic Records - something to do with Alan Freeman - By Invitation Only?
@assemblyday Wow. Where did you manage to dig this classic up from? I haven't heard it since the Late 70's when by Brother In Law had it on a compilation L.P. with ELP, Deep Purple and Yes on. Never forgotten it. Sadly can't find it on iTunes yet, but will sure look forward to a remastered version soon. Thanks very much for putting it on The Tube. Brought back some great memories. P.S. Just tried the flares on, but sadly they no longer fit.
