You know what pisses me off more than just about anything? I'm gonna tell you! Lol
The fact that sex offenses are not given stiffer punishments! I don't care if it's the first offense. In fact, the first offense should call for many years, so if there is a chance for "rehabilitation", you'll see once they finally get out. But when they get like months or probation or some other bullshit for any kind of sex crime, peeping Tom's, for instance, they never decrease in severity, do they? All they get is a slap on the wrist until they become serial rapists/murderers, by then, it is too late and they've left so much death and destruction in their wake. Nobody can ever make me understand how stupid the "justice" system is.
I totally agree! Another thing that really gets me is that people get such minimum sentences for ‘attempted rape’. Why the hell do they get leniency just because they weren’t successful despite trying? It should be equal sentencing for attempted rape and rape!
I have never understood why rapist/killers get such low sentences but when someone gets caught with marijuana, they get sentenced to up to 20 years 🤨
Same it doesn't make sense
It's likely the sentencing guidelines. Tell your area's member of Congress.
Because men enable other men.
It feels like men just hate women so much. That’s how I feel.
lolfrllll
A serial killer more attractive and charming than Ted Bundy and more intelligent than Stephen Hawking. *shivers* Imagine if he had used that brain for good rather than evil. It's surprising to me that he isn't more infamous.
He is very well known by my generation of true crime addicts. Yes, the old folks. Lol
@@lisadaniel7193 You're not old, you're classic! 😉 And I have heard the story before, but he is definitely less infamous than Bundy, Dahmer, Son of Sam, the Zodiac, etc. I'm an 80s baby, so wasn't alive or old enough to remember these serial killers when they were committing their crimes or getting arrested.
@@cassie1264 i did heard of him he seem to me wel know but he still underated to this day not alot people know about him.
I'm not so sure about him being smarter than Steve Hawking. If he was he would have never been caught.
@@susanh1292 that's just according to an IQ test. He was too narcissistic to worry about getting caught. That was his downfall.
Why does it take so long to kill monsters like him? I'm highly offended that he was able to die from natural causes while so many little girls and women were ravaged then thrown away like trash.
Its to give them the chance to appeal. Over and over and...
Even on death row. The government doesn't want to violate the fourteenth amendment even after due process. Unfortunately.
That’s how they roll in California
It sucks...but we also have to think of the individuals who were wrongly convicted. It's a tough situation, but I agree this man deserves the worst
i won't deny that this man is a demon from hell, but we have to think about people who are wrongfully convicted as well. we all know false convictions are so prevalent when it comes to poc, ESPECIALLY black and brown men, so we shouldn't be calling for tighter laws when we know the justice system is so biased towards white individuals. but if evidence is undeniable, then yeah, those people should be facing a punishment worse than death.
It's seems ridiculous. There's no chance this was a false conviction. For these cases it should be swift.
This is scary to know someone who walks on the same ground as you was once a serial killer and it sends shivers down my spine.
your makeup and skin look stunning! brow goals :)
thank you angel 🥺💗

How could that connection NOT have been made? He was already recognised by the girls from the FBI most wanted list where he was listed as Rodney Alcala while they knew him as John Burger ... Isn't his alias noted somewhere?!
I have yet to see a prolific serial killer without police incompetence
Pedophiles deserve the harshest punishment. No chance to re-commit. It's disgusting.
I’m so happy Bella woke up one day and decided to be the best UA-camr ever
On another note - I love your dog Mia! She’s always a star in your videos 😃
He was so friggen smart. What bugs the hell out of me is the fact that he was RELEASED! Like, how on earth could that be possible. This is what bothers me about the justice system; it maketh zero sense to me. This is something that I focus on in my little true crime videos on my petite true crime channel (mmmkay), what more could the justice system have done/should have done is always in the back of my mind. Lovely job Bella, I love your true crime videos and can't believe that this is one of your first serial killer videos...how did that happen? haha
unrelated to the case! but you are soo good at doing sponsorships lol. you make me wanna buy everything you mention 😭
Poor puppy contemplating life @ 31:54 lol love your videos!!!
“one of the many things that hurts me is that that was the last face she saw and that bothers me cause he’s so ugly and he’s so evil” GO OFF GET HIM
PLEASE do the Robert Pickton case! It's a Canadian case, and I've never seen anyone else do this one despite it being VERY interesting. Again, love your channel, look into Robert Pickton!
Nothing like a murder video to start your day as you get ready 🤍😂 sending love from New Mexico, USA
You should cover the Jayna Troxel Murray case! (lululemon murder) I would love to hear your view on it! Love the way you talk about cases and you have so much respect for everyone❤️
UA-cam: here’s a true crime video on this guy dubbed “the dating game killer”
Me 1/2 trough the video: What happened to the doggy’s leg? Poor baby lol hopefully he’s getting lots of love
Back then, reality shows just didn't do background checks or any real vetting process. All you had to do was be charming and look good so that's probably why Rodney Alcala was able to get on the show.
I also think people just didn't expect someone who was so charming and good looking to be a murderer. I mean, look at how people reacted to Ted Bundy. Even now, I think many of us believe we'd be able to know if someone's a terrible person just by looking at them which is why so many people still get away with doing terrible things.
This is such a horrible case. I hope all of his victims are identified one day and their families get closure. Love your videos as always 💗
You should really do a video about Chopper Read
Loved this vid Bella ! ❤️ Good work 👏🏼✨
So excited ! You look lovely as always
Wow i had heard about this case before but never knew it was so local? I live super close to huntington beach & go there all the time, weird to think about
Bella can you please talk about Kendrick Johnson!!! There’s so much to this case and more word has to get out. It’s an unlawful ruling. The Johnson family deserve justice❤️!
I never knew how this story ended so thanks for that
I stopped when that old lady said "there were no hairs". I could not watch it anymore. My heart bleeds for people who saw their loved ones have such an unfortunate death and how their murderer gets away with it with a light punishment. This world is fucked up. Innocent humans and young angels don't belong here.
When I was 11, I would spend my summers near the public pool by my house. There was a man who watched me and one day he approached me showing me all the cool tech things he had (Phones, Tablets, A mini TV type thing). He told me I could come back to his place and watch movies, I was scared so initially I said "Sure! I'll just quickly go home to bring us snacks for our movie day. Wait here, I'll be right back!" And I left and didn't ever go back there. We live in such a scary world. I'll be so paranoid when I have kids.
I saw a lot of different stories about him over the years. I really enjoyed this because it was detailed. What an evil person. Glad he is gone.
Hello 👋 how are you doing??
i’m surprised i haven’t heard of this case before, it just kept getting crazier and crazier!
Sometimes I pass over some of Bella's stories because I've heard about them. I shouldn't because she tells the story better and with more background. And no commercials!
He died on my birthday last year. What a gift.
I also love to study Criminal Psychology!
Omg, I technically live in the same building Cornelia Crilley was murdered in. The addresses 427, 429, 431 and 433 East 83rd are all one big building with different front entrances, but all connected together on the basement level by a hallway. It would have been so easy for him to come in and leave without being noticed. I knew so much about Rodney but didn't know he committed a crime where I live. That's so crazy!!!
Does anyone know which apartment number is was?
Your pup in the background is my favorite part of the video haha he is too cute
Those UHU glue earrings are it!
Quality content as usual my babes! Also are they UHU glue stick earrings??? 😍😍
thank you bella 🤍
Yes. More serial killer cases as well 👍🏻✌🏻
It's just the worst thinking, you can have ppl over and somehow a photo book come upon a photo and it's of a fam. member you loss to such violence. That pain must be so stabbing all over again, even many years later, and it's situations like this that play over in my mind, that breaks my heart the most... Like, how do you selfishly do this to innocent ppl, with no regards to whom they're leaving behind, my GOD!!!!
I find it so interesting how both him and Ted Bundy were caught because of the bite marks on the victims.
love this story
Will you please cover the story of Mikayla Dillyn Jones. She was only 18 when a woman and two men she barely knew made her go into resting. They are all 3 running FREE!!!! please help bring attention to her story💖

What a terrible man!
I really feel for the families!!!
What a roller coaster of ups and downs in court!!
DNA so important
Bella I love your videos the most on this platform
bella please do the case on, the girl in the box for 7 years
Idk from the moment I heard about him, and saw him, even seeing the footage from the dating game. He just really really creeps me out 😳 So idk who he's charming, but clearly they didn't see what I did 😮💨
These earring are everything js 😂😂❤️
I agree with your curiosity! I was studying criminology and psychology ….. it’s so disturbing all of it the mindset of these people WAIT WHAT HE WAS BORN IN SAN ANTONIO ??!!! dude I’m from there and live there that’s so scary
The families should've sued all of the higher authorities involved for continually letting the POS out even though he was a repeat sexual offender and murderer.
LOVE YOU BELLA X
I don't know your background but as someone who's experienced an emotional neglect, I feel I can understand the drive/need/feel to hurt others, it's just I try not to act on it. As a kid, the drive was way stronger and I did act on it on some occasions (never to the point of killing but hurting on purpose, yes). I can imagine growing without any people showing you love and abusing you badly instead can easily result in not having anything to stop you from acting on it. Also, it doesn't even have to be abuse happening later on (meaning the person can remember being abused), it can simply be a deprivation happening as a baby, therefore there is no recollection of being deprived of nurture, contact, attention, having a reliable adult creating a safe environment etc.
What I'd find more interesting would be to understand is what makes the difference in how abused people turn out.
Also, if you looked at my background, you'd probably say I'm coming from a normal family (parents working, all basic needs met, no apparent abuse), so without looking deeper it might look there's no reason for the actions mentioned above. But there really is... it's just not so obvious. So, to me, coming from seemingly normal family and having normal upbringing... it might not be as true as it seems. Of course there's always the possibility of being born "abnormal" but I mainly meant people being born healthy/normal but being damaged by the people around them.
How abusive have you been?
What did we do to deserve videos 2 days in a row 😍😍😍😍😍
Love your videos Bella!! I have quickly became a huge fan & love how you present the stories!! 💓💓💓💓💓
What lip products are you using?? I love that color!
Ahh something to set me to
Sleep tonight, thank you ❤️
Going through the photo link.. you can see multiples of some of the girls and they look less and less happy and more unsure by photo. I cannot imagine the fear.
yess more serial killer videos
This guys IQ really was used well. I sure he took the advantage of others serial killers at the at time to cover his own tracts for as long as he could.
Sicking
Morning made this is so early 😍😍😍
WTF does the victim wearing earrings have to do with anything?!?! How dare he 😡🤦🏾♀️
Hello 👋 how are you doing??
Thanks to that man. He literally saved tali’s life !
Okay I’ve heard podcasts on this, so I’ve HEARD his stuff from the show and was shocked about him being described as “charming” because he sounded so gross. SEEING him makes it make more sense- he does have a charisma about him. Doesn’t make it any more comfy tho!
Hello Bella, new subscriber here. Will you do a video on the disappearance of Kristen Deborah Modafferi? She was a young woman from Charlotte, NC USA. She went missing back in the summer of 1997 in San Francisco, CA. Thank you.
"I'm sure you are all great people..." lol
Fredrick Woods was just paroled (Chowchilla kidnappings) Can you do one on this?
Hey Bella what's doing!! I noticed you haven't done a video on Gerrard Baden Clay. I was in jail with him 2012 - 2013 and he was a total grub.
10:50 he was also married to sharon tate before she was murdered.
when I heard John Berger I though I've heard the case before..but then I realized he was this famous art critic! maybe that's why he chose that name...🤔
My mom was almost taken by Rodney Alcala when she was 6 at a carnival. He told her if he went with her she could go on all the rides she wanted. She was walking away holding his hand when her dad (my grandpa) turned around and saw and scared him off. She didn’t know it was him until years later when she saw his photo
omg thats insane
Wow how scary. Glad your mom got out of that situation But how creepy to see someone on the news and be like “omg i know him!”
@@ravenpoe7093 right! She let the FBI know about the incident in case there were any other cases in the area around that time because of the storage unit of all the photos.
Oh wow that's just terrifying of what he did and I'm glad your grandpa saw him and scared the creep away.
@@joycecaswell5785 thank God her dad was nearby and saved her
I was raised by a psychopath. The one thing I was taught by my father was to beware of charming men. Too slick and too charming you stay away from these men.

looking at the photos linked made me so upset, the smiles on some of their faces and them not knowing what was about to happen to them breaks my heart. i hope they're all resting in peace 🌸🤍
oh my god same. They are all so beautiful and i'm in shambles
Infuriating! So heaven forbid Tali didn’t make it, how would they convict him? Why did she need to testify?! Like you said- it was OBVIOUS he did it. So many lives lost bc of stupid red tape.
omg i didn’t even think of that, good point! so if she didn’t make it, he would just get away with murder because she couldn’t testify? totally ridiculous
Omg yes! It seems absolutely insane with the amount of existing evidence - they could have saved so many girls 💔
I'm not familiar with the laws of evidence in California at the time but it's likely that they needed her to testify so that he could face his accuser. Maybe someone else is familiar with California Rules of Evidence in the 1970s.
If she was murdered, I bet they would have convicted him in a heartbeat. There was more than enough evidence. It's disgusting that they tried to force that little girl on the stand to traumatize her all over again!!
@@cassie1264 and I get her parents didn't want her to go through that but the lives it may have saved of she would have. She shouldn't have had to but wish she would have.
The dating game production: Do you by any chance have a criminal record?
Rodney: Uh, I'm on a murder spree and I've actually murdered a few women 👉👈

He was pretty.Thats all show biz cares about.
“we’ve gone through a lot of hell because of that animal”
literally an insult to animals
Exactly!!! I’ve never understood why people compare criminals of any sort to animals. Animals are so pure hearted and they are quite literally the opposite, especially this thing.
@@toripengelly7334 I get where you’re coming from, but they’re not talking about your domesticated cat or dog when they say that.

This case has always creeped me out like IMAGINE watching that episode and then finding out he was a killer 😱😱
Thank God that woman on the show got that gut feeling and refused to go out with him! It probably saved her from being one of his victims!!
Worse yet, winning that GUY!!! 😱😱

The mom of robin stated she took a gun to the court house and planned to shoot Rodney, in a interview she gave. She stated that her daughters “spirit” stopped her from pulling out the gun and ending his life. Belle as always u presented the case well.
Growing up as a teenager during the time of the hillside strangler this story creeps me out. I remember always living in fear. We didn’t have air conditioning and this was all happening during the summer. We lived really close to that area. It was so extremely hot because we didn’t want to leave our windows open. Crazy times.
glad you’re okay, you’re so strong 💙
Yes, I can relate, always afraid. Then we moved up to Seattle, Ted Bundy's stomping grounds.
John Berger was an author. He wrote “ways of seeing” and won a booker prize for it in 1972. The name change could have had a different meaning rather than just being a random name. That makes me see this case in a whole different light.
@@zakmaskell6794 I have read the book, that's why I commented this and recognised the name :)
This Alcala guy is insane and a danger to society after what he did to those victims as well as appearing on that dating show. Also I cannot believe that he had the audacity to interrogate the mother of one of his victims and accuse her of lying.
A true crime suggestion I have for you to cover Bella is Issei Sagawa who is a Japanese man who murdered his roommate and ate her flesh in France in the early 1980s and this case is so frustrating.
Right Sami?! I truly believe, interrogating a victim, if the perp is the one representing themselves, SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED! IT IS APPALLING! And on another note....how on earth were they able to overturn his sentence 2 times and allow that poor girls family to go thru that over and over?? It's INSANE to me!!
@@ShannyShan20 I know right, he should never been allowed to do that in the first place.
@@samih5916 Agreed!!!

Hello Bella. You are quickly becoming one of my favorites. Love the earrings.
The earrings are the flare, I love them!
She is one of my faves and those earrings are rockin it!!
If something feels “not quite right” it probably is! At a wedding once at a hotel, an old man in a wheelchair by the lemonade and water asked me (9-10 yo) to come chat with him at a table. Yes, there were tons of people around, and yes he seemed kind. But I had that feeling. It’s not quite right. So I excused myself to the bathroom and then found the nearest adult I knew. You never know what could happen, so be super careful my friends! Edit: The bride and groom did not know the old gentleman I described to them, so we assume he was just staying at the hotel that night and wanted some food and lemonade from the reception. I think he was just old and wanted to have an honest chat (I looked way older than I was) but I was noooot willing to take that chance.
smart of you! i hope all parents raise their children to be wary of strangers and all the dangers in society
Always trust your gut feeling! It can save your life!
Wow! Watching this video just infuriated me at our justice system here in the States. I recognize that everyone deserves and should receive a fair trial. But how many times did this sick monster get away on technicalities and go on to murder yet other innocent young women and children? I'm with you...they had the pictures, they had his ID, they found a victim at his apartment, yet he gets off on a technicality. How many of his victims would still be alive if they had not been deterred by these minor issues when they had so much evidence against him anyway? It is so frustrating that at times it seems the perpetrator is their main focus to be fair with than the actual victims who suffered. Great job on this case/video!
ljtribble....Well said!!
I literally look forward to see what earrings she’s wearing each episode
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
@@David_Robert creep
Omg I'm so glad she didn't go on that date! That's super creepy! You can see her first look at him she knew he was no good.
I feel like I hit the jackpot when I found your channel. Your interest in crime reminds me so much of me when I was younger. Still have a mad interest, and your channel has me binging (which can get pretty heavy LOL) - Just love the way you narrate, and appreciate all the time and effort you obviously put into research and presenting the facts. Great stuff! Thank you so much for sharing these stories.
P.S. Hugs to the little snoozer in the background.
Hello 👋 how are you doing??
i already discovered and researched this case plenty, but i’ve forced myself to forget everything so i can watch bella explain it 💕
Right Xela?! She tells and explains cases and stories so eloquently and her accent is just awesome! She really is great at this!🙂
I have already heard most of the stories Bella covers but she always includes details that other true crime channels leave out or gloss over!
Rodney kinda look like Richard Ramirez
I’ve been wondering where you’ve been but I’m am 1000% here for your “break and then consecutive uploads” system. It’s great, honestly big brain
i noticed some people complaining that her upload schedule is "inconsistent" on another video but she does so much work and we get to watch her videos for free, people are so entitled! if the upload schedule is working for her i'm happy
NO FREAKING WAY HE DIED BEFORE HIS DEATH PENALTY. THIS GUY LIVED A LONG, "GREAT" LIFE, GOT TO LIVE UNTIL ALMOST 80. BASICALLY JUST 60 YEARS OF DOING WHATEVER THE HELL HE WANTED WITH PRACTICALLY NO CONSEQUENSE. I KNOW 4 OF THE WOMEN IN THE PHOTOS. THATS 4 TOO MANY. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS.
Rodney was a genius with an insane IQ… it’s so sad when potential like that goes to waste. It’s honestly kind of weird that many serial killers have higher IQ’s than the average score of 100. So smart they don’t know what to do with themselves?
Maybe they think they’re so smart they could get away with it
Actually it's often that people with really high IQ tend to think a lot more and can question litteraly EVERYTHING they do and It can lead to psychopath tendencies or either if they lived hard childhoods (I'm not a psychologist haha but that's what I know) 🤷
Literally in love with your videos. I brag about you to everyone and i rewatch your videos over and over because the way you describe it is phenomenal. Sometimes i just have you on in the background while I'm cleaning or doing laundry. Your voice is really calming. Which ik is weird to say when normally you're talking about murders but just wanted to show you some love and let you know how much i appreciate you and your videos! 😊
thank you so so much, appreciate you endlessly 💗
I agree! I do the same thing! Super calm and intriguing
About Roman Polanski : at the last Cesar ceremony (the french version of an Oscar) he had 12 nominations and did recieve awards. The ceremony was widely criticized (but sadly not enough since he managed to keep the awards). Even Florence Foresti, a french comedian who presented the ceremony stated during the ceremony how uncomfortable she was with the idea of potentially having to give him an award. Adele Haenel, one of his victims, was present and had to leave the ceremony when he was given the award, because she was so upset
Several other people left as well and Florence Foresti did not come back to present the rest of the ceremony and explained on social media how revulsed she was
Wasn’t there a French actress who was there and ended up getting wildly criticized because she didnt want him there and was tired of the glorification of literal rapists because they were “talented” men? I vaguely remember something like that but can’t remember her name
adèle was abused by christophe ruggia, not roman polanski. but yes she left because she was so upset that rapists and pedophiles keep getting awarded.
@@Hi-Phi this happens in the US too. If not at awards shows, many prominent people in the entertainment business will stand up for people like this bc they’re “talented” and “were never weird with them personally”

This is such a small detail but I love that you put in newspaper headlines from the time. It adds to it and makes it more real.
Can I just say how repulsive the game shows used to be with their blatant sexual overtones? 🤢
The VH1 "of love" shows did a lot of that (Rock of Love, Real Chance of Love, I Love New York, Flavor of Love, etc.). The Bachelor franchise still does some of that in certain "dates".
