I’m at the point where I can build things with React and consume API’s. Now I’m studying Java. TypeScript helps out where JavaScript is lacking so I can see why some prefer TypeScript over JavaScript.

If not , can we switch to other fields in IT, if we are not good enough 😕. Like cloud or managerial roles . Is that a possibility? How do older people 40+ age still survive as software engineer ?
Try to see if coding can complement your existing experience. If you are an absolute beginner, be prepared to spend dedicated months to an year to actually get started off and reach a situation where you can build projects. I am also from non-CS like op. I have been working with C++ and QT for 2-3 years now, and have been spending the last 5-6 months studying DSA for the first time as a proper course. I believe that doing some CS courses would definitely make you a more well-rounded programmer.

Get a Job in Java/Spring Boot first, only then you think about other advance shit like cloud computing or machine learning. You are going to fail from the get go if you start thinking about advance stuff right now, definitely gonna quit after feeling dumb af. Don't want to be a downer here but just getting the "easy level" Java/Spring Boot is already hard af and most self learners don't even make it past this foundation. So there you go.

Hey thanks for the video! Im not old enough to get a job yet, but I am learning coding for fun and this is the only insightful video that breaks it down. I'll be learning python first then move on to javascript. Thank you again!
Hello.. are you learning all by yourself or you're going to a school for I
It
I’m at the point where I can build things with React and consume API’s. Now I’m studying Java.
While learning I can’t help but compare Java to JavaScript and I can see why people complain about JavaScript and vice versa.
Java is super verbose and oop is not so easy. TypeScript helps out where JavaScript is lacking so I can see why some prefer TypeScript over JavaScript.
Great piece of work bro! Keep it going! your content is really helpful!
Thanks 🙏
I am just going through it and will be right back on this video after i have learnt that all❤

i started learning python after watching your last video and now i came across this one in which you're recommending java and mentioned that python is slow and not really used in big companies like Amazon and Google. now im confused if i should start learning java and put a hold on python for now or not
Python is an equally good choice. If you're already learning Python, continue with it. Good luck!
Python and Java both are used widely but for different purposes, suppose if you want to learn AI you should continue Python because its populer in this specific sector, but if you want to learn anything related to android, Java or Kotlin should be your choise, all depends on you, just pick one to start. If needed you will learn another language structures.

A quick question: “How long will it take for you to reach your current level of expertise if you start from zero and follow this path?”

Do I still need to learn Java for DSA?
Don't think so.

Now I'm confused. I'm back actually to square one. I already learned HMTL, CSS and JS but here you are telling one needed to learn Java and other videos you've made says Python. Any advice? much needed it right now. Love all of you videos BTW. Subcribed too.
If you are making progress, front end is a great path. Just know that there's more to it than HTML, CSS and JavaScript
@@sahilandsarra Oh wow. You are one of those unicorn youtubers who reply to this kind of comment I mean from a nobody.
Yes, it is a great path but no job yet. Anyway, I got it now. Learn to be a fullstack to get a job which I just literally realized today I mean this afternoon. Bummer if only I knew 10 months ago I should have mastered Java or Python. Thanks a lot. A simple reply like this matters to us new coder as it boost our motivation.
You can learn all the languages you want but how good you are at problem solving is what matters. Programming languages are just tools for problem solving.
That's right! Thanks 🙏
Well done Powercouple,
Great stuff you shared.
Following the steps you discussed, what concepts do I need to master before I can build The Guided Projects (Tic tac toe, Sudoku, Snake etc) and subsequently build My Own project? Can Java concepts from 'Learn java from scratch' on Educative be enough to satrt the Guided Projects?

Gotta disagree with not learning JavaScript 1st lol i only knew html, css, and JS when I landed my 1st job after only 6 months of coding. As a jr dev or someone trying to get into SWE you NEED a nice looking (front end) portfolio.

I have 5 years of diverse experience. As DevOps, software engineer and site reliability engineer... But software engineer is something that interests me a lot. However I know JavaScript and python... I was confused initially that functional programming is the new trend and I dint learn java in my initial stage... But I struggled a lot when I was promoted from DevOps engineer to software engineer II in my previous organization. I had problems adapting with the codebase and the company fired me due to my incapability to adapt from DevOps to software engineer.... I wish I could have learnt java... I would have dealt the codebase at ease.... So no excuses learning java after 5+ diverse experience. Just adhering to Sahil's words and I have no doubt I will maser Java or pickup java easily
Hello bro good to hear about your experience. I am also starting Java. Can you tell me how hard it is to get a job in this field. Should I learn programming or try my luck in other fields. Hello Sir,
first of all thank you for this kind of good information. So you r saying to focus on java if i am starting to code but i already started learning python and i have a good grasp on C and it's DSA from my college days..should i keep going with python or it would be preferable to change to java asap, like i have complete all my my basics and right now learning DSA from udacity which u have prefered on your early videos.
Hey! You shouldn't change anything. Python is a great choice.
Currently, I am learning java and have been confused about the roadmap as where to start and what to study.... When should I learn DSA.... A lot of confusion....However, after watching this video.... I finally got a conclusion.... Thanks bro.... 😇😇😇😇
Thank you for the video, extremely helpful. One question , can you tell me if 28 is good age to start coding , and have a successful career ? If not , can we switch to other fields in IT, if we are not good enough 😕. Like cloud or managerial roles . Is that a possibility?
How do older people 40+ age still survive as software engineer ?
Age is not a factor, the skill is the only factor.
What you need to ask yourself is - Why do you want to learn coding?
Once you answer that question, the rest becomes easy.

@@TimothyNyota The Why is the driving force.
I believe that doing some CS courses would definitely make you a more well-rounded programmer.

before watching this video I had already started learning Java with solidity, I aspire to become a blockchain dev, lets see
By watching your video, I had also decided to learn coding starting with Java. However, my friend suggests me to do the course in cloud computing as it is having better salary and scope. Now, I'm confused. It'd be really helpful if you can tell me your opinion. Thank you.
