7:44 that button is for the front wiper, I use it all the time now in the cold with my winter beater Rav4 You can see on the bottom windshield theres the heating line... not for the rear wiper because you already have the rear window defrost button..
Oh my gosh…. The walkaway tailgate feature is such a good idea. There have been multiple times where I have pressed the button, and then had to rush to grab the item, and race away before I get hit by the liftgate hahaha
A video online can be found that explains the transmission on these Honda hybrids. It's not a CVT, that's just simply wrong advertising by Honda and I think it actually hurts them marketing it this way. The petrol engine only produces 107 HP BUT in Hybrid mode it's not actually driving the car, rather only spinning up the generator (2'nd electric engine) which then sends power to the 130 HP main electric engine. So in EV and Hybrid mode, ONLY the main electric is the one that drives the car using a single gear direct drive transmission. Then, during Engine Drive (supposedly over 100 km/h) the main electric disengages & the petrol engine is now engaged to drive the car, using a secondary clutch and an "over-drive" aka a second gear for the car. So TLDR it's not a CVT by any means, the variations in the petrol's RPM usage are only there to spin up the generator faster which in turn delivers power to the main electric. Pretty nifty system (albeit not very efficient) and looks to be a rather bulletproof transmission overall.
That's a very in depth review of the car, very nice, the model looks good imho. Very stylish outside and inside. Don't know about the engine combination though, it's more the relaxed cruising than a sporty driving experience I guess.. The boot looks spacious. but the numbers indicated by Honda in liters don't show that, 335 liters don't seem like a lot, the boot space of my Kia Picanto, a very small car, is indicated with 255 liters, but it's tiny compared to what the HR-V's boot looks like. I guess car makers have very different ways to measure boot space. I guess, test driving it and testing how much luggage you really get into it is recommended before buying. The magic seats are brilliant, I know them from the Jazz.
It is very similar, it's out already in parts of the world and all these new Hondas follow a design pattern, similar to what Mazda did. So the City, Jazz' Civic, CRV & HRV all follow a design pattern. Slightly less so the Jazz but you can see it in the rear even if the front lights are slightly more square than slanted.
Great video, and actually helped me decide to order one (6 months waiting time tho) I had to get it in that red however its an extra £800. just one criticism is please lose the most annoying music.
The HR-V does not have a CVT. It does not have a transmission at all. It has one fixed gear and a clutch that can connect and disconnect the ICE. That´s it. The marketing guys invented the term e-CVT, because cutomers are stupid and would be confused if you told them the car has no transmission.
Well done! I may have missed it, but does this model have All-Wheel drive as an option? It's a handsome car that I think would sell well here in the US.
Nice video and car. I'm a Kia Niro owner, my 3rd Kia hybrid and I'm used to regularly achieving over 60mpg for at least 3 seasons in the UK. I don't hang about with my driving, but I am experienced in hybrid squeeze/ease driving and appreciate that many Niro drivers don't achieve my level of economy. I'm seeing a lot of 52mpg figures around these HRV videos, yet on a test drive on mixed roads, in quite warm conditions, including dual carriageway, I achieved over 70mpg, which really surprised the Honda sales man. Can any of the experienced HRV drivers confirm I would be able to achieve 60+mpg on a regular basis please, if I were to switch from my 74K mileage Niro to an HRV. For me, there is too much piano black in the new Niro model, resulting in too much reflection flickering, which I really don't like. I also prefer the drive shift of the HRV over the swivel-thing in the Niro. The Niro is very comfortable for my dodgy back, however I found the HRV front seat very comfortable on the test drive. Please tell me I can cancel the auto lights !! I'm looking forwards to some helpful input, thanks
I'm stuck between yaris cross and honda hrv. Can any happy owner suggest which one to go. All i know is Honda battery is 1kw and yaris cross battery is 1.5kw hence provides bit better economy. Any thoughts?
Why can’t I find this for sell in the us? We have a outdated 2022 model. Guess this is a thing huh ?! Always thought there were one model per year. Looks like there are two different 2022 models for the HR-V
You presented a fairly good video of the HRV, my suggestion to improve your presentations would be to be more aware of the audio volume, it drifted from acceptable to quite low, this seems to be the most consistant error I find in most videos,(Audio Engineering) your video editing was quite acceptable and appreciated. Sincerely, Phil
Probably the best video of these I have seen! I am in Australia & they have just been released here. Mine is due this month, same colour.Really nice car to drive!👍👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘

Brother I am following you from this honda HR V Video . I am in inda. I hope it will come to our country. Your way of explanation is so good, detailed and easy to understand. I thank you once again.👌👌👍👍🤝🤝👏👏💪❤
I like the front design, even though it looks like those painted grill slats are just asking for rock chips. The vehicle looks weird as it tapers to the back, however, so has an awkward, stiff, over-elevated look that goes along with the odd looking hatch slope. Rear design looks okay. Alloy wheel design is fugly & adolescent looking. Eye of the beholder, I guess. That's my 2 cents worth.
Looks great! I wish these were avail in the US. I just purchased the 2022 EX and regret mostly due to the price of the vehicle being way high. There's a vehicle shortage here 😭
It’s here and was 45k for the hybrid, but has just gone up $2k from August 1st. Now $47k! I think this is a bad move by Honda. It was already too expensive at $45k. It’s like they’re trying to lose sales.
This car hit all the marks on my book.
This was one of the best car reviews I've seen for this model so far
Hope this makes it to the U.S.
It really needs to because Honda is missing in the segment and it would be refreshing to have this in their lineup
I am hoping this will be my next car purchase.
It will minus the heated steering and any sort of creature features not on the previous model lol.
I’m hoping too! I’ve been waiting!!
My parents just canceled their rav4 order when I showed them this car lol... they want this, this thing is effin hot!!!
Love the car - hate the annoying music added to the vid!.
We getting this in the US? They killed it with the design. Great Job Honda!
I hope so!
Mazda design Rip off
really? i think it's ugly af
@@dmillzzz1918 I was thinking the same thing
The US version will be different.
This actually looks clean af. Reminds me of a Porsche
This design is a big step up for Honda looks really good love the front end. Their suvs are typically generic looking and boring
Really good video, very informative and easy to understand, well done that young man !

Best 'real-world' review of this model I've seen on YT so far! 👍👍👍
Looks like Honda will be fine in EV market 👍🏾
wow honda stepping their game up :O

You're welcome.
It looks so much better than the new Civic! And the rear doors are hidden so much better than on previous model. I first thought it has only 2 doors!
New Civics are dreadful to look at. Had 2010 Civic s and looked so much better and modern. Just look dull these days.
That’s the same car and colour I’m getting next week really looking forward
if Honda CRV and Mazda CX5 had a love child
Thank you for such a really in depth and thorough explanation of this vehicle.. really helped me. Well done 👏🏼
This HRV looks better than the USA version 100%.

This car looks soo good. currently have a 20' civic and I'm considering this if it comes to Canada
North America will get a different shape, it’s being revealed April 4th

This is just 2 wheel drive. For 4x4 you need the CRV
in japan yes. for the global market idk.
How about the transmission ? I heard there are few problems in previous generations
Great video! Thank you!!
@HondaUSA What's wrong with you guys? The 2022 HRV is still the old model?
It’s nice! Side looked like a Mazda! , which is also stylish!
please help ...how to turn on the fog lights and how to see in to the display...THANK YOU
I always open the window by doing the same but with the Unlock button...
never thought of doing the same but with the Lock button... gonna try that.
So you can open all the windows using the remote, before getting in the car? I liked that feature on a previous car.
I'm waiting for this car to arrive in USA to buy this Car
Thanks for the video. What is the cost of battery replacement?
best review ever. simple. precise. well done.
Is it going to be made wth handed drive only

Always thought there were one model per year. Looks like there are two different 2022 models for the HR-V
Us models are delayed by about 1-2 years from European and Asian markets so their 2022 will be our 2023 or 2024 model
its an eCVT, not a CVT. it has no gears or pullies.
It's growing on me..
I wish it had about 160 bhp.. 130 seems a bit sluggish
Torque is what counts, HP is only for topspeed....
That button is to warm the front windshield wipers
Why do new models always take a year or two before becoming available in North America??? Excellent video with plenty of detailed explanation, thanks!
I can answer that because car dealers want to sell you the crap they have in stock before even showing you the latest models 😏
Hi I would to ask, this car not the thieves favourite cat converter?

Not as much power, torque and back seats as the outgoing model.
Do you think 2 full size suitcases will fit in the boot 🤔nice review 🙌
Loving this car and beautiful colour. But what's with the hidden rear door handles? Really dumb!
Nice u guys get it before here in America I just get the hrv 2022 sport I like it but man like this better
Top class demonstration. Highly informative. Thank you.
Hope this makes it to Canada
Great video but the sound is all over the place. You need to use a wireless microphone and normalise the sound in your video software.
Mình định mua HRV-L phiên bản 2021 đến khi xem video bạn chắc tôi phải đợi. Ko biết khi nào mới đến đất nước tôi.
Cant really see anything with the 13:07 for the blind spot monitor demo. Any ways you can do it again?
You can just seeing the icon flashing in the rear view mirror if you look closely
Those are cornering headlights? In HRV?
You described cruise control wrong.
Why don’t we have this in the US
CarPlay on this model can be used via Bluetooth. So you don’t need to plug your phone in.
How? I can't do that, tell me how

Looks better than the Venza. I'm jealous
Bye far the best video on the new HRV anywhere on the web. Great explanation. Thanks. M

Beautiful presentation
Is the paint issue fixed?
I wish for a car like this one
I believe I will own one of these soon
What a beauty.
is it with ADAS
Nice looking car but noise insulation is very poor, it is very loud during motorway speeds!
Love it.. Rear side looks like Mg astor
looks far better than us version 😢
May be different in Europe but I'm pretty sure this is the 2023 model which will come to the US in late 2022.
Gorgeous!
Looks really good
Is this in the US

Hi. Thanks for the video. What is the total horse power? Is that the same engine going to be used on Civic hybrid?
he said 130 hp
Such a beaut 😍

I wonder why no glassroof!
Top model has it.
What’s the name of that color
Nice design. Test drove one the other day but found the engine too busy and harsh when at higher revs.
Thanks dir the Test. Next please with better audioquality and without the music. 🙉🙉🙉
v good - helpful
Why back doors have no handle?
They have the handles tucked away to the upper sides of the back door. They are beside the windows in the corner.
I would think the states would get this eventually.
all i needed to see.. brilliant work 👏
