Being able to speak multiple language is one thing, switching your internal monologue and thoughts around is another level of mastery.
Not really. If you’ve grown up or just spoken multiple languages for a while it comes naturally.
Actually, some things are easier to say/express in one language than they are in another, so you often end up thinking in multiple languages at once depending on which one has the best way of expressing what you’re thinking.

I'm french, and even though my accent is TERRIBLE, I know how words are pronounced, and I can tell you, I sometimes think in english without really thinking about it.
And if I want to think in english, I can, it's really not hard at all.
It's pretty normal with bilingual people or when you master a second or third language. The way to do it proficiently is to think in the language.

Which is sad cause they're all super depressed and struggle with their insecurities. To the point where it drives them insane towards the end of the series.
Though Tiffany Grant's voice sounded more abrasive, her lines come off more natural -especially when she throws out german randomly.
I think this is perfectly serviceable, particularly for anyone who's never watched Eva before, but I'm too set on ADV's dub now.

I really like the entire cast for this dub. The only thing that lets it down is the really stiff translation of some important lines, which manages to lose the meaning entirely ("I'm fond of you"). The actor who plays Asuka in this is great, tonally perfect and clearly having fun with the role, but Tiffany Grant is hard to surpass when it comes to english translations; she just breathes the character.
Sorry, You Weeb incel but that's Yuko Miyamura not Tiffany. Also, Breathes the character ??? That makes no sense.

@@THEdudeproductions Yep. There have been 3 different casts (ADV NGE + Prime Rebuild, Funimation Rebuild, Netflix NGE) and Tiffany Grant plays Asuka on all but the Netflix NGE.

I actually like this dub, but the one of script writers toned them down ALOT, there wasn’t nearly much emotion as in the ADV dub but to me the voices actually fit
This dub is much more true to the original script.
Yeah I actually appreciate this dub, even though the ADV dub still holds up alright. I like most of these voices more.
