Without a doubt my favorite Liverpool team. The only one managed by King Kenny during my lifetime, and delivered silverware during a barren period in our history. As amazing as our team is now, idk if I’ll ever love a squad as much as this one. Makes me so happy to be able to come back and watch these highlights
Oh how wanted this team to succeed. It hurt more than I can ever remember whenever we lost and criticism was lobbied at Kenny from our own supporters. He was like a father figure to me as a kid when I fist started supporting Liverpool in 1989. It broke my little heart when he resigned in 1991, but it hurt even more when he was sacked in 2012 Although I think the elation I felt on his return in January 2011 made it all worth it. I'm not saying Kenny's second spell was a successful one by his and Liverpool's standards, but his reappointment helped me reconnect to a club I had lost so much love for during Rafa's reign.
