    I had a dog like Hera and a dog like Cha Cha, and both, competitive. My Bully was always jealous of my Staffy and one day my bully got ahold of the staffy but the staffy didn't back down i made the mistake of grabbing the bully she turned around and bit the inside of my thigh, i was pissed at that point, had to pour a bucket of water on them to get loose and then they were terrified of me lol

    Hera would do fine in a home where she’s the only dog in the family. She’s one of those dogs that doesn’t like competing for affection or during playtime.
    I grew up with 3 pits (Curly, Larry, and Moe). 99% of the time, they all played together with no problem, but there was always that one(Larry) who needed to feel dominant! We gave him to my uncle’s household, and they never had a problem with him.
    Think about that option before you put her down, but she does need some boundaries training before you put her in a “Single” dog home.

    U don't think Hera was triggered by cha cha taking the ball from her? To me that shoulda been a correction instead of cha cha being allowed to steal Heras praise. Then when the pillow comes out Hera goes get her get back.

    • @foxcannon8480
      @foxcannon8480 Місяць тому +4

      no your over humanizing these dogs. hera b lining to cha cha is an issue. if hera went off with the ball at that moment then you know why things happend. but, there being a break in between the two interaction, hera ignoring the pillow and not showing indication of what caused her to react is a HUGE red flag. that is not a safe dog.

    • @MrTwar34
      @MrTwar34 Місяць тому +3

      @foxcannon8480 it's not about humanizing a dog. Dogs have personalities and traits. Idk if she is one but she is giving litter runt energy. I'm very familiar with this breed as well as the individual breeds that create this hybrid. That was a power move of dominance on Heras part.

Aren’t they sisters from different litters? I’m stuck between feeling that violence isn’t the answer and the feeling of having someone take something from me. I understand why you would think to put her down but don’t I wanna see her growth. I’m big on discipline and I can’t imagine telling my dawgs to shut up and they keep barking???? Hey bud, there is a better alternative. I have owned some of the best game bred American pitbull terriers on the planet. Not bullies, not your scatter Bred Pitbull the next-door neighbor has. I’m talking about the original. Competition, working dog. We regular hunt hogs with them.. and we run into your situation you just had. If there is no break stick. Granted there is two people. Each person is pulling back on their dog. Then you would place your hands around one of the dogs neck. Finding its airway. And you will begin to apply pressure attempting to cut off the air supply. A.k.a. A chock hold of some sort.. The dog will release to breathe for air before it passes out. There is no need to beat the shit out of your dog. Lol. It only causes more damage to your dog and in the majority of the case makes the situation much worse. As your dog thinks now it’s being attacked from the back end.. again I’m dealing with game dogs. So I deal with this on a regular basis. I’d have to say I’m a bit of an expert in this area. Lol.. Beating on your dog when they get into fight is usually from people that like the experience in the situation. Which is OK we’re all here to learn

      Dogs are individuals, some just have bad intentions.. people ar3 so misinformed and think training is th3 end all do all. These dogs rely on instincts...the same things that make them great have a flip side. Training a dog just gives them structire and t3aches them to rely on the training or direction over their instincts. But the truth is it takes split second to rely on instinct. The best thing is to keep them seperated once they show their intentions are bad. I deal with game bred dogs and this is exactly why we keep our dogs seperated and secured..sometimes can have a male and female out together buy not usually same gender.. my dogs fight over the same blade of grass. These dogs are not full blooded APBT but they have the genetics in yhere and Herra is pulling those traits grom her background. It happens. People need education on human behaviour let alone dog behaviour
