BBC's latest drama Vigil has been praised for showing a gay relationship that "isn't the main point of the story"
The highly-anticipated series, created by the minds behind Line of Duty, follows DCI Amy Silva, played by Suranne Jones, investigate a suspected murder onboard a submarine and her fellow-officer and her ex-girlfriend Kirsten Longacre, played by Rosie Leslie.

Good cut of this show. The series was spectacular and this love story was an amazing part of it, but you have to watch the entire series. It will rock you! It took forever to find a platform to watch it on and once I started I couldn’t stop until the end❣️ Amazing cast, extraordinary land and sea thriller. WATCH IT

Why is Kirsten crying?
I think it’s because she was telling Poppy that Amy will come see her when she is back and at the moment Kirsten can’t even be sure Amy will be back because there is no communication with Vigil. We as viewers know that Vigil is (barely) ok, but people at the land don’t know if the crew is alive

@@celia8407 also, maybe because she realized what all of their fighting was based on miscommunication from Amy’s side, what Amy was never embarrassed of them, just failed to explain the frustration with custody battle? Plus the hunting down of Vigil by Russians in life and death situation just overwhelms Kirsten too much.

I hope not! That just a horrible cliffhanger. Amy must survive. Besides, there are talkings about prolonging the series for season 2, and it will be a waste without one of the main characters in it
@@justforlove7a aw man I didn't realize it was a miniseries. Hopefully they do a season 2. It seems like season 1 will end on vigil/ they won't be on land anytime soon/no Amy (if she survives) and Kirsten and poppy reunion 😭
