Another nice stream with lots of fish. Where I am the streams are mostly overgrown so it makes fishing more difficult for Tenkara. But that isn't stopping me. Thank you for these videos!
Thanks for your comment! For overgrown creeks I find tenkara to be the perfect approach, just go shorter with the rod and line and watch out for those fly hungry tree limbs!
Wow Gary! So many trout! Great way to break in the Ninja! I assume you like it!? 🤣 Makes me want to do another video with you, Ninja VS Tanuki 375! Great job Gary!
Thanks Jared! Yeah, it was an unexpectedly nice creek and fun day (and I only fished a small portion of it). The Ninja is wonderful, light as a feather and really accurate. $$ well spent. Looking forward to your brookie vid. Thanks again!
Thanks for posting Gary, I've heard there are Brookies further up stream. Was wondering how far up and down stream you went? Late last fall I netted two 14" and one 15" Brown.
Thanks for your comment! I went upstream from the bridge about a half mile total. There is a gravel creek crossing (with an access road leading back to the main road) and I went about 200 yards past that. I still have at least 2/3 of the creek to explore, if not more! Good to know about the healthy sized browns in there! Maybe someday we can break the code on the presence of brook trout!
Beautiful fish! I love the way you cast and lift slightly at the end to make the fly land first. Definitely gave me some casting skills to work on!
Thanks! That Tanuki Ninja rod is a pleasure to cast, but I have lots of room for improvement!
