      So you believe what mainstream sports pundits say about a small market team that no one watches? lol they, much like yourself, see the names at the top of the roster and don’t do any digging further than that. The Chargers were always too heavy. And when the injury bug inevitably struck, the depth pieces were never there. That’s Telesco’s fault. And it was a decade of the same problem he never fixed. 3 separate coaches, the exact same problems.

He drafted Fluker, Craig Mager, Tre McKitty, JT Woods, Quentin Johnston and a host of other awful choices. The Chargers are currently way, way over the cap and have no real talent depth due to his poor draft choices and poor management. For him to be rehired this quickly is pretty mind blowing given his poor resume.

Even better, blame the training staff for not keeping everyone healthy? Sorry, but a GM that has a losing record and his track record should not be rehired -- period. Again, go and look at his drafts. Awful outside of the first round. Worse, he couldn't draft a decent interior OL or DT not once. Zion Johnson is proving to be a bust. Then there was a string of selections like Dan Feeney, Chris Watt, Max Tuerk, and on and on. Maybe it was all the Spanos' family's meddling that did him in. Maybe. But I doubt it. I think his record represents who he is -- and maybe that record is good enough for the Raiders.

      The guy is an NFL GM, and WANTS to CONTINUE working as a GM. The Chargers FIRED him (i.e., he did NOT "quit"). The Raiders -- and apparently NOBODY ELSE -- offered him a well-paying job to serve as their GM. What is he supposed to do, turn down an offer to work THE singular job he wants to perform -- of which there are only 32 that exist in the entire world ??? What would you have him do: turn down the Raiders' GM job, lay at home on his couch for years and years waiting for another GM job offer "outside of the AFC West Division" THAT MIGHT NEVER COME just so he can "prove" to you that he was a "true Charger" during the time he worked for them ??????????????????? !!!!!!!!!!!!! Such nonsense is laughable.

      @JWH66 7 місяців тому +3

      He didn't quit to join the Raiders, he was FIRED! And like what was discussed, GMs don't usually get second chances. Was he supposed to not take the Raiders GM job and find work at Costco instead? These aren't blood in and blood out gangs. There's no loyalties amongst the players, coaches and employees. Only fans are loyal.

    I’d argue I top 15 picks are the most important picks because of the value they hold if you miss on a top 15 vs missing on anything after that. The impact on missing in the top 15 can last years where most players after the first round are rarely SPECIAL yeah you got your max Crosby’s and Lamar Jackson’s. And a bunch of other guys but most are 💩 so give me Tom over any gm we’ve ever had.

      Their coach had some decision making issues that cost the team at least 8 games last year by 10 or less points (A few more the year before). I'm not saying Telesco was perfect but he knows personnel and he will have a budget to work with, not a cheap miser of an owner. Also, we've heard Simms and Florio have to make the story not report it many time because they have nothing else to talk about since the season is almost over. That's media.......

  • @grayson269
    @grayson269 7 місяців тому +2

    wait wait wait arent you two some of the same media that says each offseason you expect the chargers to win 12 games? The same guys that say all the chargers need is JH and he putt hem over the top? How can the guy that put together the team that only needs JH be bad? wouldnt that mean it was the coach and not the GMs fault? Simmis has mad hate for the Raiders no matter the move. If They hired JH he would some how find fault. This bias media is so sad the way they can flip flop and be ok.

    To all the Raiders fans thinking TT was a good drafter....take a look how he did when it wasn't a top 15 pick, it isn't pretty. Also he resigned like 4 guys taken after the 1st round in his entire 11 year career. Davis f'ed this up. Coach and GM are both going to be a hinderance to Vegas with what's around the corner in the AFC West.

    Every move the Raiders have made over the past 24 months has been shocking.
    Hired the wrong coach twice in 2 years (AP/Mcdaniels)
    Not drafting Richardson.
    Hiring Telesco who's hit on only 4-5 more picks than Gruden/Mayock (worst drafting duo in NFL history).
    Not trading Davante or Crosby for a haul of picks. (Can't compete with Chiefs or Chargers anyway, might as well truly rebuild and try to be competitive)
    Thinking that we can trade up past 7 other teams that need qbs.

  • @larrymorgan7997
    @larrymorgan7997 7 місяців тому

    Every year these guys pick the Chargers to win because of their talent.
    Remember if the owner is too cheap to fire a coach under contract that’s on him.
    As far players with the Chargers and the Colts over the past 20 years I don’t see any problem.
    Telesco has the juice and AP has the fire.
    No more learning on the job.

    A lot of people don’t understand how overrated these chargers rosters were. People called them Super Bowl caliber never really noticed how much depth they lacked. Plenty of surface level talent that regressed. 11 years is a long time to be a GM, plenty of proof that the chargers did not draft well. 11 years 2 playoff wins and a sub 500 record, not all his fault but man he had a huge hand in it.
