2017 Sunseeker. Ac thermostat has e5 error code. Will shutting off all power-AC and DC help in resetting error code. Code showed up after heavy rain if that means anything. Thanks.
I have an original dometic briskair and it doesn't turn on. Power is intact to it. Would a blown capacitors cause to not start at all? the fan doesn't even kick on
It could be a switch or the thermostat. Does it have knobs or a wall thermostat? If so the thermostat or the control box can be bad the parts can be bought on e bay😁
What would make a thermostat not light up / 10 button Dometic? Changed thermostat. Last time out of 100 try’s it on would flicker once. Three units in RV. Center one I assume is the main and front is 1 and garage is two. Also changed control board. Thermostat has power... Even on the back of circuit board prongs
Sounds like you might have a wiring issue. I would have it taken into a dealership so they can start testing things. Could be connection at the unit, could be a break in the wire, could be bad board.
Where is the reset button on this located?? Mine just started short cycling.... Switched breaker off then back on Cleaned inside filter (which wasnt too bad at all) I have a 2020 grey wolf with the dometic unit (something about a one zone) sorry my husband is working out of town so im winging it and learning rather quickly!! We bought an Alpine 3250 2014, and this is our first summer. Turned on ac, and no cool air. Compressor works , husband cleaned it out, so now what? Can it be recharged?
Hello. I have a 2019 wolf Cherokee And it has a unit that looks like yours. But today I came home from work to a hot camper and the fan not even turning on. I checked all the fuses in my electrical panel and they are all okay and the breakers where not flipped. I opened the panel up and I see a green wire just hanging. Is that supposed to be wired to anything? My fan will not turn on on high, low or otherwise. The AC and heat will kick on but the fan to push it through the system is what isn't turning on. Please can you help me?
Hello I have a 2015 dometic unit it will start up and blow good cold ac. But when I turn up the thermostat. the compressor continues to run. The AC unit will not cycle on and off as the temperature changes. it will not shut off unless I turn it off at the thermostat.not sure we’re to start? I don’t know how many amps it’s pulling. But my cord outside gets pretty warm. Just seems like it’s pulling more than it should. It even trip one of my breaker in my house when I was plugged into my house.
Stuff like that I would say get it to a rv service department with qualified techs that can check everything out. Could be a number of things causing this
🤔If breakers are not blowing in the Rv your house wiring and plug is not rated for the amps. When a ac won't shut off it can ice up. Sounds like a thermostat issue or control box
I turn on my A/C and I get a horrible squealing noise We have sprayed it with liquid wrench to lubricate it and it works for a little while and it starts again, We didn't have access to the top from inside the camper so we had to go on top of the camper, Is the fan motor up there? Or what do you think it may be?
How does the other part come off? It all needs to be cleaned. I took the 4 screws out, but there must be clips, holding it up. This is in my 2005 American Sport. A 5th wheel, so it's not easy to see , even when I'm on the ladder
What is the part number for the evap. coil temp probe? Also where can we get just that probe? I have a 15000 btu unit that is freezing up. I leave the fan on high mode. and when coil thaws, its dropping water in my camper. Or do you think its a control board issue? If so what's that part number and where can i get it? Also wanna mention, i check the probe several times to make sure its staying in the coils. This is my 3rd ac unit on my 2015 puma i purchased brand new.
You did not talk about the control. And very important to me is how own it's own it switched to Celsius from Fahrenheit. You might mention how just walking past it changes the controls too. Thanks. I need to keep looking how to change it so I can read it again.
I have a brand new wolf pup and it has the dometic with the controls on the ac and it cooled down but at night never got cold just stayed around 74 or so with it turned all the way down is there some kind of adjustment I can make to the thermostat just didn’t get cold enough
too many factors that can change this. Me and the service manager just talked and were going to try and shoot a video tomorrow to answer these questions. Just a ton of stuff to answer in text. going to be a 10 min video prob. Subscribe and hit the bell icon were going to make a video for you. Thanks for watching and commenting

Thank you
My Dometic Rv thermostat Quit working. The screen lit up blue and it lost all the numbers it stays lit up and won't respond to buttons I opened up both filter access and I removed the thermostat from the wall and switched the wire from rear to front and connected the thermostat to the wire running foreward the thermostat still lights blue and no numbers no response I cleaned the jack with a q tip and alcohol so the wire is good that runs foreward. Next I will switch control boxes rear to front and front to rear and set switches appropriately. And retest this will tell me if the box or thermostat is bad
I have a 2020 Forest River vibe that the living room AC unit won't work on I can't get any response from it and I've been running it on below Auto is that good for it or not my daughter likes High cool and it keeps the RV really cold and I get cold in here it doesn't regulate and turn itself off on high Auto a lot of times what could be the problem should I get somebody to look at it
Next I will switch boxes that will tell me if the box or thermostat is bad. Then I am going to try to resolder connections on rear of thermostat I suspect a bad connection in my thermostat
Take it to a service department. Hundreds of answers here. Needs some trouble shooting. Or try calling Dometic and seeing if they will do it over the phone with you. I advise going straight to a service department and letting warranty handle it
Maybe you might have an answer for me concerning our rv ac. We have a single zone Dometic, 3 button thermostat. Our problem is that we cannot get the AC fan to stay on all the time. In either high or low fan, the AC and fan both stop instead of continuing. It acts like the fan is set to auto. Does anything come to mind? Thank you, Vic
Mt dometic ac was working when i bought it.what would be the first couple things to check?is it worth fixing or just replace it.where is a good place to buy new ac or part.im in las vegas
I would get it diagnosed to see whats wrong with it but typically they are just as easy to replace as fix. They are sealed units. Sorry but I do not know anyone out in that area of the country, I am east coast
I have these vents in my RV, they suck. You close the fins off to have it blow through the smaller vents but it barely comes out on high. Auto only works for furnace, does absolutely nothing for AC. Dometic is so cheap and I hate it. I have 2 15k units in my RV and they perform poorly. I also found a folded piece of styrofoam in mine, appears to be a shoddy mod to improve airflow
I have a 2007 Keystone Montana. The HVAC quit working a couple months ago. Thermostat went bottom-up while the furnace was running in the middle of the night. Went through all the reset options to no avail, then went dark. Had checked all power and seemed ok. Had a mobile service tech come out and verified the furnace is ok, but a possible Dometic control board issue (Brisk Air B59516 unit) replaced the board, no change. Checked and replaced the Comfort Control Center 5 button thermostat controller (3109228.001) no change. Also bypassed the RJ wire to make sure no bad connection there. Finally replaced the 12 volt converter to make sure no power fluctuations there. Need to remedy before the hot CA summers arrive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a loud clicking sound emitting from my AC vent on my Dometic unit (Serial #17210535). Not sure if is the relay or ?. And it does it when the heat is coming on which is not what I thought I should be hearing coming my AC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Once the heat kicks on I can still hear the clicking (Relay?) for a short time.
@@KeystoneRVCenter How does tape make a sound when I can hear the clicking sound before the fan finally comes on? Sorry I guess I have a thick head so I need to better understand your answer. Thank you!

Newbie question, what are the fins that we have to stick that black ended wire into? I don’t know what fins are in an air conditioner.
I have a 2018 cougar 29rli I've been in florida in summer never had access issues now I'm in indiana it was cold after ice up it not very cold no ?
How clean are the ac filters?
2017 Sunseeker. Ac thermostat has e5 error code. Will shutting off all power-AC and DC help in resetting error code. Code showed up after heavy rain if that means anything. Thanks.
Jiggled some wires esp the white ones in video. And jiggledthe connectors. Magic. No more e5 code.
Yes thats a loose wire somewhere in the system typically a bad connection
You got it
How do you clean the air conditioner on top of your RV???
Recommend having a service department handle it
