Just for fun Sharon see how much gain you can get without getting feedback. Most Fender amps have distortion tuners as well. I use one of these pickups on my classical guitar, but I have to preset all on the amp prior to playing. I guess I'm spoiled having knobs on my electric guitar 🎸. Have fun. Sounds great 👍
Nice review. The sound is great! I wonder how much of it was the pickup and how much was the amp. Do you think a good amp can overcome the defects of a bad pickup?
In my experience no. Because the bad pick up that I bought, the first one was completely dead. The second had a very bad intermittent static sound. My son who plays a lot of guitars and has a much larger better Amp than I have could not get it to work any better. I personally don't know much about these stuff and really just need one that would be plug and play. I'm hoping that this clip would generate more conversations and recommendations from the community and we can learn from each other. 😊
Thanks for the video! I think I will try one of these. I have a 16 string Walter T Lyre that came with a pickup inside, and it sounds so fantastic through a Nemesis delay pedal. However, I normally play a 24 string lyre that I got from a Turkish etsy seller, because more of my repertoire fits in its range. I have always wished I could play it through my pedals. This pickup seems to be exactly what I’m looking for! I will give this pickup a try to see how it works out.
Thank you for this video and for all that you share on your channel :) I have a Brandon John solid body lyre and wonder if this amp would also work on it given that it has a different structure. Do you have any thoughts or experience with this ? ( I apologize if the question is answered elsewhere.... I couldnt quite find it when looking around. ) Thank you !
I haven’t tried it out on my solid lyre but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for it. Similar pick up were included as part of the package that came with solid lyres in the past
Thanks, nice review. I’ve been considering an electronic Walter T lyre harp, but maybe a more mobile pick up on an acoustic only might be a better idea. Anyone have thoughts about this? Any experience with built in pick ups?
One of my lyres, Cega 19 has a built in pick up. It works well but I find that it picks up all the noises when I move my left hand to pluck the strings as it rubs on the lyre being the arm that also supports the instrument while I play. You want to avoid buttons on shirts as well for the same reason, it will pick up the rubbing noises and amplify it.
Can anyone here share? Will this KNA AP-1 Piezo transducer / microphone /pick-up work once plugged on the portable Bose soundock speaker instead of the Fender which was used in this vlog?
I like that amplifying product. Thanks for sharing! I am the lucky 8th to like this post.
Thank You for showing this
You're welcome 🎶🎵
😍😍😍😍 I've got to get one of those
