I shampooed before and because I have a whole heavy duty routine because I’m a bleached curly blonde I then used a bond builder, did a protein treatment and THEN i purple masked. 😉 But yes, normally you shampoo then use the mask. I also deep condition after the purple mask and the toning it gives my hair still holds after I rinse the deep conditioner. I’ve tried other stuff but this mask still comes out as the best one so far!

Cause there are no babies in this video! 🤪As for brassiness, given my level of lift, I'm referring to the yellow tone in my blonde and I simply wanted it more toned down and leaning towards cream/white than yellow and I LOVE this mask. I've tried others and they don't do anything but this at least does what it was meant to do. Hope this helps! Unless you really wanted to see some bassinets! 😉❤️
@@MizBoheMia oooopppssss! Sorry for the typo :$ Girl I get you, I've tried a lot to tone my blonde hair and nothing has worked so far. I just got a sample of this and I'm hoping it works for me (I'm a level deeper than you)
@@zahedah80 Best of luck to you! You can always test it out on a strand of damp/wet hair first. I did that and left it on for 10 minutes to see and gage if I should stick to their recommended 3-5 minutes or go longer. I tend to leave it on longer and if I get a lilac overtone I can either cowash or shampoo that extra off the hair and the hair remains toned. Fingers crossed it works for you! ❤️❤️❤️
@@MizBoheMia totally worked!!!! My hair looks soooo much better, stronger, and toned now. I only had one Strand turn kind of purplish (it was the first strand I applied it to). Funny thing is, I'm thinking of doing purple next now 🙃

Well, you can always overtone your hair for the purple! 🤪 A fun way to play with colors (that I have yet to try) is to use the As I Am or Curlsmith color gels. I know As I Am has purple. From the reviews I’ve seen it doesn’t flake off etc while dry and you can get that full one purple look and then wash it off when you’re sick of it.

Did you shampoo and condition the hair before the mask? I’m reading the how to use on Sephora and it said use in place of conditioner
