    Honestly, I appreciate your videos and website so much, I have used lots of different websites to revise from and your videos are so clear and easy to understand. This video has taught me iteration in 10 mins, and my teacher couldn’t help me understand across multiple lessons. Thanks so much these are actually a god send.

    Can you please do this question by bisection method
    3x-√1+sinx [0,1] up to 3 decimal places , 13 iterations

    It is possible to use the iteration method for higher polynomic function (In this case for n>3, ax^n ± bx ± c=0)? However, absolutely amazing video, thank you very much!

    • @1stClassMaths
      @1stClassMaths  7 місяців тому +2

      Yes, absolutely. In fact you can attempt to use it for pretty much any function but it is not guaranteed to yield a result unless certain conditions are met. I just use a cubic to illustrate that the usual approaches for quadratics and linear equations will unlikely work. It is a nice introduction to the topic.

    This helped thank you. For some reason on a practice question I had it had n-1 instead of n+1, do you know what it means? Thank you.

    • @1stClassMaths
      @1stClassMaths  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes good question. So sometimes it can be n+1 and n to mean current term and next term or n can be current term and n-1 would be the previous term. It works in the same way

    You're method is good but time consuming. Why not use Newton Raphson's method? But I loved the calculator idea, it's really helpful

    • @1stClassMaths
      @1stClassMaths  18 днів тому

      This video is intended for students studying GCSE maths. Newton Raphson is beyond the specification and only comes in at A-Level.

      Hi this is aimed at GCSE students. I don't believe this topic is in the iGCSE.

    can you use factor theorem to solve them

    • @1stClassMaths
      @1stClassMaths  11 місяців тому +1

      These equations will not factorise. The question will want you to use the given iterative formula.
