There is a golf cart path through Wellen Park. I see them a lot but I guess it just depends on the day or time. We did this video in the middle of the afternoon.
If I was single I could show you! Lol Just kidding. The nightlife here is small but also good. There are a few places to drink and go dancing until like 12am. T.J. Carneys on the island is one of them. Linksters Tap Room in Venice next to the Spotlight theater stays open until 2am! And just so you know 2 things, there are a lot of single people here looking to meet people and you are only 30-40 minutes away from Sarasota, 20-25 minutes from Gulf Gate Estates that has good bars and hang outs as well.

Are all of the neighborhoods accessible to the downtown by biking/walking trails?
Yes, with the exception of the older WP neighborhoods on 41, like Island Walk and Gran Paradiso.

Yea 20 - 25 minutes is not bad you and your husband should go out some and show some place s in venice and sarasota@@florida_living
