materials include a 2.4 mm tungsten bead, some mallard feathers for the legs, and a peacock quill for the case

DUDE .I got to the point You said your using a #24 ..... bull shit.. I'm using a 20 and found it to be VERY small. .You said this caddis larva in real is only 7mm. that's a size 18 bud.Also, you are using synthetic quils you have to soak the stripped peacock quill in water first, or it will break.
