  • In this video, I show you how much time we can save with IB Lab LAMA™ Leg Geometry Measurement Assistant for knee alignment assessment and other measurements in long leg radiographs.
    Literature
"Fully automated deep learning for knee alignment assessment in lower extremity radiographs: a cross-sectional diagnostic study"
    link.springer....
"Artificial intelligence enables reliable and standardized measurements of implant alignment in long leg radiographs with total knee arthroplasties"
    link.springer....
The tool does not (yet) support cases with ankle prothesis or unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.

I remember my attending getting mad at me if my leg length line wasn't perfectly straight. This would have saved so much time and stress back in residency.

I'm a nontraditional premed-- I graduated with a humanities undergrad, and have spent the past 5 years as a public high school teacher. I'm drawn to radiology. Is radiology still going to be a good field to enter by the time I complete my math/science prereqs and start med school?

Interesting! Do you use any chest AI's? Specifically for something like lung cancer screening?

Hello thank you for the all informations , I am a 5th year medical student wanna to take the road of Radiology Ai but do not know how i could do that

And if you add to the spaired time that this ai report can be added with one click to your final report and you dont have to dictate anything. That saves additional seconds. So in a proper setup you can spair at least half of you reading time. And now we are just talking about a simple x-ray. Imagine the time saving in case of an oncology ct reporting.

    You are behind
    Ai has already replaced Radiologist

Those dedicated AI tools may save some time but are not the story of current AI developments. The biggest problem for something like radiology is the size of data. (Let alone a radiologist job is not only reading studies), an entire clinical history of something like infectious disease (which is something so automation friendly Germans don’t even have I.D. Specialists) is a couple kilobytes but a couples seconds from an angiography in DICOM is several dozen Megabytes, which makes the tokens used by the AI way to expensive at the moment.BUT, and here’s the real thing. The T(ransformer) in GPT is a revolution that will change everything. When game engines start crunching images with AI is no man’s land. Then most jobs, not only radiology will have a tough time adapting and surviving. Which would be good, new jobs and much more abundance will be born.

thanks, yes, there is no reason why AI at some point will do a lot of "reading". but ultimately, AI will not be mediolegally responsibel. check my video about AI in Radiology in the year 2030 :)=

      Only Time will tell
With Ai - at least we won't need to wait years. We will know in months what the new version of Ai can handle. The days are numbered and I'd bet people entering the field of Radiology today won't be able to graduate before the next 6 version improvements of Medical Ai will already have graduated...
But if you take enough Hopium- you may never know what's actually happening
