Beautifully presented and shared. I hope this video sets a lot of people free and removes the distance they may feel from God.

Dear Brother Nicolas, in Christ, I am deeply concerned by your video! I am left wondering what kind of 'church' you were a part of ?
I hear your sincere and genuine heart in what you have said. Please can you reply to me? I would love to share our love of Christ together. You are right, we are saved ONLY by the grace and love of Christ. I'm struggling to imagine what kind of things your church expected of you, instead of relying only upon Christ??
Father, I hold my brother Nicolas in faith before You now and thank you for his testimony of your grace in his life. Comfort him and fill him with your Spirit and let him know Your presence each day as he seeks you on this journey of Eternity. Amen.

Hi my beloved sister, I watched your clip and must say I love your spirit of peace which is the Spirit of our Lord - the Prince of Peace. I created voice clips and started posting on UA-cam but because it's under "Religion" my clips are not reaching people and then I thought let me tell my story as it is and maybe it will reach people who are leaving or left church/Christianity. The next few months will tell. Yes the churches I have been to were more legalistic than free in Christ. Churches may preach more law than Grace which puts burdens on people. It was best I shared my journey with the needed measure of rawness. In the old covenant the promised land was physical but in the new covenant the promised land is "Entering God's rest" as is clearly written in Hebrews 4 verse 3-5 I think. So clearly everyone who believes entered Gods rest as we don't have to perform to earn righteousness. So internally I have peace. I am planning to post clips on the unraveling of the controversial bible passages that generally keep churches and people under law. Sending you all my blessings and love in Christ. Nicolas

@@peaceinjesus5221 Hi apologies Brother, I clicked on your icon which had a clip of a female in. All good, thanks again for your concern and care. You are right there is no perfect church. It doesn't matter how imperfect we are, as long as we believe in a Savour who performed perfectly on our behalf. I must say religion creeps in very easily. See since the "Council of Trent" where a major religious group acted against the Reformation, from then on "works based religion" stays an issue. They formally declared that you can only be saved by Faith AND Works". Will chat about that later. I am happy for us to grow together. What I will do is post clips about my journey where it started and then we can discus it here. I will post my first clip by tomorrow and let you know. God's love. Nicolas

@@favormine From my understanding brother, the 'Council of Trent' was the 19th ecumenical council of the Catholic Church 1545 - 1563, in Italy....nothing much to do with the 1st century fledgling church of scriptural doctrine. The body which became the "Roman Catholic church" had long departed from a correct interpretation and practice of scripture, hundreds of years earlier, in my thoughts? You may know more about this than me, because I've never studied all the traditions of the Catholic church, though I have a book on it. Yes, I would agree with you that the Roman Catholic institution, has a works emphasis, though I don't write believers off because Christ's Kingdom is bigger than any institution and is not bound by any walls.
You are of course right - "works" do not play any part in attaining salvation. We are saved by faith. That faith gives us a great love for God and as a result we desire to give him 'our all'. The "works" that we do are important to Christ as he made clear in his teachings, but they are the result of grace through faith in a loving God, who guides us, and inspires us to acts of love through Him. But as per Paul's teachings, "works" do no save us. If we are disabled and have no works, but faith in Christ, He loves us. If we have very low intelligence and cannot understand doctrine or even read, He loves us.
Yes, it would be great to share together - I'm sure we probably came to Christ in different ways on different journeys.
I will look forward to your clips! God bless!

@@peaceinjesus5221 My Brother, I can clearly see that you have been around the block and must have done some considerable mind renewal too. Seems you have a good handle on the true Gospel. Yes that was the time frame of the Council of Trent. I can't find the exact section but got this from Wikipedia: "Understanding the Protestant "faith alone" doctrine to be one of simple human confidence in Divine Mercy, the Council rejected the "vain confidence" of the Protestants, stating that no one can know who has received the grace of God. Furthermore, the Council affirmed-against some Protestants-that the grace of God can be forfeited through mortal sin." Which means the pressure is on the believer to perform perfectly instead of relying on the finished work of Christ.
Brother here is my first clip in a planned series of my journey out of religion. Please have a look and see if we have some common ground. Please feel free to comment on the clip below:

You talk like a democrat. You provide no specifics. What is the name of the church that you don't like? Which denomination preaches legalism? I interpret the Bible differently. I like legalism. I am free from the Old Testament law. I obey God's moral law. Marriage is one-man & one-woman for a lifetime. I don't say, "In the OT, God allowed multiple wives; therefore, I can have multiple wives, now."
