Our terrifying experience during the 2019 Tick Fire taught us we must be prepared to act quickly-the next wildfire is always close by. And while we took action after that thanks to our amazing community, the increasingly long and hot summers and unpredictable fire seasons have made our ongoing needs even more urgent.
We have more senior animals than ever, and evacuating them was a very difficult challenge during the fires. And with each passing year, we face a stark reality: extreme weather, and the challenges that come with it, are projected to worsen.
To address these needs, we have outlined a plan that includes:
-A new truck to help us evacuate animals quickly
-An additional water trailer for our second CA property, the Sun Chlorella Healing Center
-A new and larger water tank
-Regular brush clearing
-Consistent tractor, trailer, and truck maintenance
-Specially designed structures for the pigs
-Small water baths for the chickens, turkeys, and other birds
-Misting and sprinkler systems
-And more

Such a big issue up here too. The fires in Elk and Medical lake have threatened a lot of large animals. Hope you are all safe. ❤

Hope your doing well❤. Never listen to the weird comments you get about butchering pigs or what not, or at least don’t let them ruin your day. Animal rescue videos can appeal to a weird group of people sometimes, I dont really understand why but that’s how it is. Hope you continue doing good and trying your best👍

I would worry about the more mobile animals. The pigs, well, just leave them. They will never go where you want them to & when time is of the essence, they are not worth worrying about it wasting the effort to try & load them. You can always butcher them for food for your family. That's really the only reason to keep a pig. Otherwise they are worthless & a money pit. Not worth keeping for more than a year.
Your other animal are more important.
You're pretty useless as well. We should treat you the same way
