Liked this -lots of places I have talked about in some of my vids, but I will do an explore of Goodluck mine on an open day at sometime, I have a few places I want to visit this year, caves, tunnels, abandoned buildings with the odd sleep in too, Mountain cottage you were right D.H. Lawrence did live there with his German wife Frieda, building up to WW1 - as she was German she had to report to the local police station every week, it was the last place Lawrence lived in the UK before moving to Germany in 1912 or 1913

I do like a visit to Harboro Rocks theres just something about the area, made famous by Daniel de Foe in his travel books, where he mentions a lady and her family that lived in the cave, enjoyed this vid - cheers Andy

Nice walk taking in a lot of industrial heritage, do you have this route saved anywhere? Wouldn't mind a stroll in that area

Hiya mate, a cheeky day off work hike , perfect , great walk this !! What would that wheel pit be used for ?
Probably the best idea to not go any further into the cave, especially with being on your own
The old mine looks interesting, Would definitely be worth a trip back when it’s open,
Nice one mate I really need to get myself out of the Lake District and start exploring these other great places - Cheers Alan team54 🥾⛰

Hi Alan... cheers for watching mate. The Wheel pit was used to help pull carriages up the huge inclines on the High Peak trail.
Jealous you live in the Lakes. It's my favourite place. Try to make it up there at least 5 times a year - usual stop around Keswick.

@@walkinderbyshire I don’t live in the lakes mate I live in Preston, I’m about an hour to south lakes and 90 mins to north lakes,
I work there quite a lot as well though, hence all the after work hikes
