As someone who started seriously losing hair at 19 and shaved it all at 22: shaving your hair is the way to go 100%. You go from constantly being self conscious about how it looks and is styled to never thinking about it. Every single time his hair is wet, messy, or moves he worries about showing his hairline. Because it looks bad. Once I shaved my head I got way more confident and got WAY more female attention. Hair transplants are just a bandaid solution. The problem isn't that his hairline is receding. I love this. I love how supportive the community is being towards him - His community. This isn't a WoW vs FF14 community. The two have merged in this space. This is his community. And there are those that come from FF14, and those that come from WoW. Perish the thought, we can coexist after all! But really. This isn't about WoW vs FF14 anymore with his community. This is about a group of people that are passionate about MMOs and about Asmongold's presentation that are coming from many different walks. Coming from the FF14 side myself, I don't want to mock WoW players, to point and laugh and say "Haha we win" or anything stupid like that. I've only been playing FF14 for coming on 4 years now, and I have a deep emotional attachment to it already. I can only imagine the crushing feeling people that have put half their entire lifetime into coming crashing down and being left there, dazed, listless and wondering what's next. And I just feel... Bad. I can't fix the problem for them. I can't put their world back together, and I know that as much fun as they have in the world I call home, it will never quite be the same. @@manuelsilva6244 Way to lump all ff14 fans into one group because of a few idiots lol WoW has a reputation for a toxic fanbase but I'm not gonna go and call literally the entire playerbase toxic
@L M it's been the same both ways for years. Wow players name calling, laughing at and putting down 14 players, 14 players doing the same to Wow players. Both sides have toxic, tribal people like with literally any franchise, religion, political idea - it is sadly something in human nature that makes some people more likely to get attached to ideas and reject those that don't agree and the closer two sides are in popularity the more these extremes get exacerbated. It's sad, I wish it wasn't so, but you gotta remember the vast majority of wow and ffxiv people are not like that and mostly aren't hunting down comment sections to spew vitriol at the other side. Not to mention, most 14 players have been wow players at some point. They are just games, just products, you can enjoy both and you can enjoy one without hating on the other. Ignore people who slam one side coz they aren't the majority. Only matters what you personally think of the product at the end of the day and no need to hate on people that don't agree.
Sad that because of the meme Asmon dont realize he actually looks good bald but i dont think he should go full bald. And Zepla is right, his hair is not bad, he just needs to wash it.
Personal insecurities are the hardest to get over. It's usually impossible to pinpoint the main cause of it, and you are dealing with the person that knows all your weaknesses, yourself.
@@manuelsilva6244 As a guy who started balding at 19 and shaved his head at 22, just shave it. This is the best advice. I keep hearing people say "shaving your head is not for everyone" but it's only from people who've never shaved their head. It's not true. If you're balding, shaving your head is the solution. No one will say "you are balding" when you have a bald head. Trust me, going bald completely removed the insecurity for me, and a lot of other guys were the same, which is why they're telling him to do it. You don't realize how much time you waste worrying about how your hair looks, if someone can see your bald spot, looking in mirrors, styling it, etc. until you shave it. Once you shave it you never worry about anything ever. When you live as a bald person you quickly realize that no one cares that you're bald. No one will stare at you, no one will treat you weirdly, no one will think you look dumb. People don't even mention it, it's completely normal for guys to be bald. Just go to a mall and sit down and count the number of bald people you see. They're everywhere, you just don't notice. Even if you think you look weird bald at first it's just because you've always had hair. You quickly get used to it. I got way more female attention after shaving it too. Balding hair just looks bad. It really does look better shaved, even if your head isn't perfectly shaped. A ton of male sex icons are bald. Vin Diesel, The Rock, Johnny Sins, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Michael Jordan, etc. No one makes fun of them for being bald, no one would even think to do that. They all look awesome. Being bald looks better, feels better, and is less work. Also, hair grows back. If you really hate how you look bald there's nothing stopping you from growing it out again. Asmon (and you too!) should at least try it. Worrying about how you'd look bald is pointless. Just shave the hair off and see. If you hate it, grow it back in a few months, no big deal. After being bald for 5 years, I wouldn't go back to having hair even if I wasn't balding.
@@koolaidjerk To me it's the shaving part that is obnoxious. I have dark brown hair and I have to shave after every 2 days, max 3 to keep it properly bald and on top of that I grow a beard fast as well. I simply don't feel like keeping up with all of that crap. I am a construction worker who has to come out of bed super early and am super exhausted by the time I get home. I have after all these years made peace with the fact that I am balding and I just embrase it as it is and go to work with a cap and every now and then I just get the trimmer when I feel like it is needed. I've had Asmongold style hair as well at some points in my life and that is indeed just not the way to go with it at all lol.
I'll be honest, I don't watch almost all of the FFXIV content here since it's not my cup of tea, so I'm glad you're going to do more WoW stuff. That said, please don't do it just because you feel the need to because of fans like me, we would rather see you do it only if it makes you happy like FF did.
o7 It's prolly not your cup of tea as a game, but imo it was worth watching his FF content just to see him having so much gd fun. The Asmongold persona can be off-putting at times, but he has a lot of good things to say breaking down WoW over the years. Unfortunately too much of it has been negative - not because of any fault of his, mind, but because the game has just been slipping. Contrast that to his FF content, where he is still deep in the honeymoon phase, and even my near-OCD reactions to all his lazy reading and pronunciation crumble in the face of just how much fucking FUN he's been having. I think even a lot of the more hardcore WoW players who are also fans would enjoy the content simply for that reason.
@L M I think it should stabilize and become more "normal" once he gets to later parts of the story on which you have quite some difficult content if you are looking for that. I dont think he's doing anything different from his other games he plays, personally speaking though.
He has no reason not to, especially since he could milk it as an event for charity or something, people would pay mad bank to make him bald and he could help some people in need, AND, it's not like hair doesn't grow back, he can just let it grow back if he doesn't like it, win-win.

Just think of Lalafels as midgets or double super short people, as opposed to children. PS: this is why dwarves have muscles and beards, and wow gnomes have old people faces, it was to make them NOT look like little children...
I think the Tarutaru (and by extension the Lalafells) might be a nod to the chibi or deformed art styles of some of the other games in the series, such as IX and the remake of IV.
The game doesnt matter as long as you enjoy it. You've been looking so happy lately that even your chat has changed in a positive way. Ty for the fun content

I think it's fine Asmond isn't "quitting WoW." While WoW is doing poorly right now, there's no guarantee it's going to stay that way. It would be unreasonable at this point to take over a decade of commitment and suddenly claim over night to give it all up. FF14 is great and I'm glad he's enjoying it but don't forget your roots either.
Lived in Japan for 14 years and yes it is very expensive compared to the cost of living in the US. 800 sq ft apartment was about $2500 a month and that didn’t include utilities. But loved every moment as I met my wife and had our first kid there. Love the videos bro!
While I understand that you have massive following in WoW, you have to understand that you brought so many people to FFXIV and they are loving it. Even you look as a different person imo, happier that is.
Hey asmon you probably won't see this but I just wanted to say I've been watching your channel a lot more recently ever since you played final fantasy. Honestly, I am with him with Lalafells. It actually took me some time to figure out why I dislike them so much, but in the end it was because they are just designed as Toddlers. They aint little people. Gnomes are little people, but their design, emotes, animations etc. show that they are basically adult people just small. Lalafells on the other hand are totaly designed to not only look like, but act like Toddlers. Their animations, especially angry ones, look like 5 year olds either throwing a Tantrum or doing that one move they saw on TV, they walk like a little child on its way to tell mommy they made an accident in their pants and overall they are just... well, Toddlers.
11:50 actually wrong. Short hair gets greasy just as fast, and doesn't have anywhere to go. Long hair has a lot more area for the oils to go, so you can go longer without washing. - someone who has had short and long hair
Asmon looks good with that hair. The bald looks damn great also. When I noticed I had lost a lot of hair my reaction was to instantly just shave everything. I don't know, it was my way of dealing with it, it really shocked me. But now, even when my balding had progressed a lot during my time rocking the bald look, I decided that fk this, I like having hair. Now I have a lot of hair and I will keep having hair until it gets too bad. Point is, there is a LOT of ways to look good even when balding.
I usually loved the WoW streams not for the gameplay, but rather for Asmon talking, and im loving the FF14 streams coz i am playing the history at the same time and Asmon talking while having fun is just great
i'm kind of glad to hear him clarifying his stance on whether he was quitting wow or not. i feel like a lot of ffxiv fanboys are just hijacking the chat saying that he's never gonna play wow again and that us wow players just need to accept it. while i (a wow player, at least) don't care what he does on stream as long as he's happy, it's a bit comforting to know that he's not going to abandon the game entirely. wow streams are cozy for me and it'd be nice to see him back in azeroth once in a while :)
I expect there's a lot of WoW players that don't want him to go back to WoW just to stick it to Blizzard, too. Emotions are high right now surrounding the company, so I can see people originating from all communities being dissatisfied with the idea of him continuing to play WoW. Of course, I don't have numbers to cite or anything so naturally it's important to take it with a grain of salt. I'm on the other side compared to you, being from the FF14 community, and I personally would love to see him be able to play WoW still too. Not for the sake of playing WoW, but I would like to see WoW (and Blizzard's standing) get back to a point where people are happy and comfortable playing the game again and feel like it's something they can get back to supporting.
@@manuelsilva6244 Even if that was the case, as a WoW fan myself, you don't need to stoop to that level. lol Let people talk whatever they want, you're not proving anything by just saying "no, u". Let him play whatever he wants, not like his absence changed anything. Saying "but FF will get hit after he leaves" is not the case. It seems the reason shareholders are suing is because Activision-Blizzard used as a press strategy to make this news seem less bad, by stating publicly that they had been cooperating with California for like two years with this investigation. Getting sued is one thing and not per se something shareholders can complain about. Hiding bad parts of corporate culture from the public is standard in all corporations. As long as its hidden, there's no problem. The one exception would be flagrant illegal activity by the company like dumping, faulty products, financial misdeeds, etc Not informing shareholders about a large scale investigation into the company for YEARS, meaning that the dirty secrets are in fact not hidden from the public, that is withholding information from shareholders and that is something shareholders can complain and sue over.

Chainsaw Man is nice but what I'm really hyped for is that if it's succesful, maybe they'll adapt Fire Punch from the same author. Fire Punch is fucking amazing.
Asmongold gets to the end of FF14 and its just a message from the devs cheering that they got Asmon to switch and the entire game was to pull him and him alone from WoW.
Dear Asmon, I use to watch you and liked you as a person and content creator. You made content that made me smile and chuckle. That's ended, unfortunately.. Once I heard you call the entire Wow fan base TRASH, I was done with you. It’s just a hissy fit from investors. It won’t go anywhere and just a fast money grab. Investors do this all the time to henge their bets and the company that is sued just settles and makes it go away. Especially true when stocks go back up and investors lose their reason and motivation

That's why I hope against hope that WoW will recover. Not just WoW, but Blizzard too. I hope that somehow, someday, these become names that don't crinkle noses, but rather put smiles back onto people's faces.

WoW has a reputation for a toxic fanbase but I'm not gonna go and call literally the entire playerbase toxic

@@manuelsilva6244 all this anger you’ve had for the past month in these comments is not helping your balding
You got my respect o7
Need to own the shaved head look, man. Looks good.
Seriously, he would look great. He could totally do it.
He has no reason not to, especially since he could milk it as an event for charity or something, people would pay mad bank to make him bald and he could help some people in need, AND, it's not like hair doesn't grow back, he can just let it grow back if he doesn't like it, win-win.

The one exception would be flagrant illegal activity by the company like dumping, faulty products, financial misdeeds, etc
Not informing shareholders about a large scale investigation into the company for YEARS, meaning that the dirty secrets are in fact not hidden from the public, that is withholding information from shareholders and that is something shareholders can complain and sue over.
