7 min in and I am impressed with his ability to demonstrate simple and complex tics. My son is 8, diagnosed almost one year ago and I am trying to educate myself as much as possible. In my small little town, there doesn't seem to be much information or resources available. I would like to try and understand more the mechanics behind tics and possible triggers. I hope to be able to advocate for my son and help him to understand as his journey with TS continues. CBIT is something I have heard a lot about, but not many practitioners in my area that specializes in this type of therapy, especially with children. We don't know how this will evolve as he grows and heads into puberty, but my son is incredibly loving and bright. I know with some support from his friends, family and community, we will be able to handle what lies ahead.
This is interesting, I developed a simple shoulder tic when I was 13/14. Didn’t change until I was 18, vocals started at 19. 24 now and my TS has taken over, I now have coprolalia and all seems to be getting worse with age. I suspect I have anxiety, OCD and ADHD
